I had this pass, and these are online prices... i paid about 35$ more than i should have...

i am a avid golfer. I have played at most courses in the state. This is my first bad review because they seem to pick how much they charge, even if you have a golf pass, or show them there pricing. Brfore i wrote this, i sent them a email with there pricing online, to see if they would try to fix it... nope, just same b.s i got yesterday. Greens not maintained well, no one driving around with beverages. oh! They do have water near some of the tees, but you cant bring a cup, and no cups there. So, how do i drink the water? Place is a joke. Spend your money somewhere where they appreciate you being there...

After a trip this week to Catamount Country Club I came away disappointed from a club that is…read moretrying to punch above its weight class, follow along and hopefully I can explain.... Upon arriving and paying, we were instructed to keep up the pace of play. This is a common occurrence at most busy golf courses...... problem is, we were the only ones there. Onto the course itself. It is a former farm converted into a very basic nine hole layout. Most holes are straight with little to no shot shaping needed. It had not rained for some time but the fairways were very "spongy", forcing monster divots from shots. This is possibly due to some former drainage areas being converted into holes, still nothing you normally expect from a course. Additionally, the few bunkers present on the course were not maintained, with grass overgrowth in every single one I walked by. The fairways, rough, and green were all cut in a proper manner but the negatives far outweigh the positives. Finally my biggest gripe of all, the price. I realize golf is not cheap, however this course is priced at the following: $48 per person with cart for 18 holes or $32 walking for 18.*** This puts the price point of a round at this course only slightly cheaper when compared to other courses in the area. Courses which, in contrast, are maintained at a vastly higher standard and provide a much better value for money. I'm sure this course has the potential to turn things around, but as for now I do not plan on visiting again. ***There are nine hole rates, I just used the 18 hole rate to more accurately show the disparity between this and other courses in the area.

This beautiful simple classic venue is great for a small wedding, a Calcutta, a business retreat or…read morea fundraiser. The staff was awesome. We did a Calcutta for a friend with breast cancer. They made a wonderful meal for $20 per person. All inclusive which is incredible if you have shopped around. The food was fresh, very very good and simple enough to please everyone. The ambiance was beautiful. Birch trees with twinkle lights all the way thru the high cathedral ceilings. The Greek family that owns it is passionate and kind and really cared that our event was successful. We never felt rushed and we were always accommodated. The bathrooms were clean, pretty and well stocked. Ample parking and you could really tell they made an effort to keep snow plowed and handicap accessibility a priority. Very close to the 89 highway. We really needed to make a nice function while still saving as much money as possible for our friend. They made us succeed epically!! Bob, Alex and staff rocked it!

Kwiniaska Golf Club - Newly Renovated Clubhouse in 2018

Kwini has made a bunch of changes and undergone transformation under new ownership. The current…read morecourse is in much better condition with very nice fairways now. The roughs are not as comparable as some of the fancier more expensive courses around. The greens are good, some of which are very tricky. They can be a bit inconsistent though depending on the sun with some being very fast and some being very slow. The sand traps are in pretty good shape and overall the course has enough interest to play repeatedly as a member or non-member. Speaking of membership, it's one of the more affordable ones around. For seniors who use the senior tees, the course is quite playable. But if you want longer distance, for the majority of the holes, if you play from the back tees the distance should more than suffice. Fairways are in excellent shape with a dearth of water hazards (maybe 3 on the hole course). Water is less of a challenge than sand but there are some elevation changes to keep things interesting. The back 9 has a little more variety and is a little more challenging. Customer service is generally good but can vary. Clubhouse is fairly basic but has a decent choice of food. This is strictly a golf club, not a country club with pools and tennis courts and the prices reflect this. All in all, the course doesn't beat you up and you can go away with a sense of playing a good round of golf even if you aren't familiar with it. I would certainly recommend this course as a very solid public course. Lastly, their updated practice facilities are very good (as good as any you'll find around) and the ball machine with the tracker technology is pretty fun if you are looking to hit a few at the range.

My husband and I came in to some money from an inheritance and wanted to invest in a membership at…read morea country club. We looked up Kwiniaska. We were confused as to whether it was like Burlington Country Club or not or if it was even a country club (who has a pool) since we are new to the area. My husband called the Golf Shop as it was the only number we could locate on their dated website. A woman answered and my husband asked if they had a pool. She sternly responded "No. We do not have a pool at our golf course." as if she were reprimanding a child. It made me so uncomfortable that I laughed uncomfortably. My husband tried to explain why we were asking. She rudely and again sternly interrupted him to say "have a nice day" with as much genuineness as she could spare (none... if you can't sense my sarcasm) and hung up on him. You can tell her boss we will be taking our money elsewhere. Probably to Burlington Country Club. Edit: we tried to email Kwiniaska as well and apparently the email they have listed on their website doesn't exist. Maybe it's time for some out with the old on this place.
