I called Tillman Tire and the guy on call (this was a holiday weekend on a Saturday) was very nice and ready to help. I wish I remembered his name, but he was there fast and had me back in the road with a brand new trailer tire in no more than an hours time. When I let them know that I either needed a tire replacement or a tow to the nearest town to purchase a new tire, I was met with arrogance, frustration, and a general lack of customer service skills. I was snarkily told that they don't service people like me, and pretty much to kick rocks and start walking. I was always raised to never judge somebody based on their innate characteristics, and to always extend a helping hand to those in need where possible - because it was the right thing to do. Compassion, patience, and kindness are among the most important traits for an individual and/or business to exemplify, and I can assure you that none of those are found within the staff of Rocksprings Automotive. Instead, you'll find predatory business practices, greed, and a desire to cherry pick service calls and metaphorically spit on those who are down on their luck. Be extremely cautious when calling for service from Rocksprings, as they appear likely to either leave you stranded for hours at a time, take advantage of your situation, or perhaps even worse. These things can be commonplace in West Texas and whether it was racially motivated which seems likely based on our conversation, or whether they simply don't care about providing actual assistance to those in need, this is certainly not a company you'd want to trust for yourself, or your loved ones to get help from. It's evident that some folks shouldn't work in the service industry, and that some bad people are still out there making business decisions that adversely affect everyone in the community, but nevertheless it's what we have to sometimes deal with.
