I took my '97 X Terra to Peter and Scott since the time they opened and always got incredible service and prices that other shops wouldn't even entertain. They have gone above and beyond multiple times just to make sure I felt taken care of. I bought a '17 Forrester in 2016 and took it to the dealer for the free service for the first year. I got bad service and felt like I was being taken advantage of more than once, which I confirmed by coming back to West Chester Foreign and getting the quality of service and unbeatable prices that I had gotten used to with my X Terra. I went to West Chester Foreign Car service for the first time on referrals of some friends. Scott at WCFCS was super accommodating with getting me in for my state inspection so I could head out on my trip that day. They also charge a fair price for inspection, around $55. I do most of my own work on my cars but I've already advised my parents and another friend to use them. read more

Don't be fooled by their name or the fake British accent on their answer machine. Do not bring any vehicle to these people. They've got a very shady scam going on. If you bring a car to them they will do thousands in work you never asked for, and never actually fix the issues. Half the time they won't even touch your car at all. The purpose is to get you back in for more "unrelated" issues. It's a shop filled with drug addicts and speed freak who have no problem with altering paperwork or committing fraud. They recently were suspended from providing inspections because they were illegally giving out car tags and have also been sued by the IRS for not paying taxes. The owner recently went to rehab and left the shop in the hands of a bunch of apprentices who don't know how to inspect cars at all. This shop is putting cars on the road that are a public safety hazard. If you value your wallet and driving safety, don't bring your car to these guys. You don't want to be driving 60 on the highway and have your brakes go out because you paid $1000 for breaks and they never even touched your car. The worst part of my experience, they destroyed my sons 1977 Ford thunderbird right after my son died. It was going to be his car one day and now it's a totaled rust bucket. For two years they lied to me about my sons car. By the time I got it back they had let a car, sourced from the desert of Reno Nevada, sit in the snow and rain for two years uncovered. They had stolen thousands in made up parts and labor and caused tens of thousands in rust damage. The car has since been moved to High End Autos in Philadelphia but it's outlook is bleak. I'm probably going to have to source another one due to the enormous amounts of rust and damage cause by them. To add insult to injury they removed all the bolts to the seats making the car a literal death trap. Were even a small fender bender would cause me to go flying through the windshield with a seat attached to my body and not the car. When I think about what these guys did, I feel as though they wanted me to die in a car wreck rather then do the jobs I paid for. I don't even know why they removed all the bolts to the seats. The only explanation is they wanted me to die in a car wreck after I threatened civil action against them. read more

Our parents were transferring the title of the car over to my wife and I and we needed to get a state inspection and emissions test. We first brought our car over to another place (unfortunately without looking at their reviews) and the guy there totally tried to rip us off claiming our car needed expensive replacements. Just to get a second opinion, I found West Chester Foreign Car Service while looking at the reviews here and I couldn't have been more pleased with their service. We worked with Scott who was very friendly and totally honest with us. He completed our inspection with no major issues reported, saving us hundreds of dollars. Our bumper had also been cracked in half and was practically falling off the car and instead of completely replacing it, he was able to repair it with some zip ties and now you can hardly tell it was ever damaged. He also got us a reasonable quote for how much it would cost to replace it but let us know that we wouldn't have to worry about it for months, even a year. Overall, this is a great place to put your trust in and I will definitely be going back there. read more

Their prices are reasonable and their service is wonderful. They go above and beyond most service places in the area in times of need. They've grown recently to include more staff so you can always count on someone being there to answer the phone or to get your scheduled within a reasonable amount of time. I've been using WCFA for about 22 years, so let that speak loudly of what I think of this business. They know cars and how to take care of a wide gamut of issues. They are ethical, and will not overestimate repair actions - I've taken them a list of what the manufacturer dealer recommended, and they knowledgeably eliminated most of the work as not needed, with sensible logic. They are creative - I've taken them a busted radio/CD player, and they recommended a 3rd party provider at a third of the cost of manufacturer model, and installed it at a very reasonable price. My son just had a deer hit the front end of his Pilot, and with his deductible, there was no insurance coverage - they repaired the damage at about 30% of the cost estimate from the insurance company. I contacted West Chester Foreign Car Service to perform a pre-purchase inspection at a local used car dealership. Unfortunately, West Chester was unwilling to send a mechanic to the dealership. However, they went above and beyond by contacting the other shop to see if they could bring the vehicle to inspect it at their shop. The dealer declined to allow them to transport the vehicle. I got my mirror replaced here just under a year ago and was given an invoice that states parts and labor are covered under warranty for 12 months. When the mirror detached from the assembly in under 12 months, I was informed that the manufacturer only offers a 6 month warranty so they were not going to cover it. They seemed utterly convinced that it's somehow my fault because I GENTLY brushed snow off of it on a windy day. I think any rational person would think that if you simply touch something and it falls apart, that thing is defective. If the wind blows and it falls apart, IT IS DEFECTIVE. If you expect a company to follow through on their word and honor their warranty, you should look elsewhere for service. read more

Superb experience. I had a water leak inside my car, due to either clogged sunroof valves or some material in the space below the windshield wipers. They cleaned them out free of charge and gave me some simple advice for how to get rid of the rest of the moisture on my own. We'll see how it is doing the next time it rains but regardless I bet the VW dealership wouldn't have offered this kind of service for free. It is in my opinion, difficult to find a mechanic that is either honest, fair or willing to work with you. Finding one that is all three is next to impossible. That is until I brought my 02' Range Rover in for an overheating issue to West Chester Foreign Cars. I had gotten several estimates and opinions on what the issue might be before bringing it here. Some mechanics quoted me $4000+ for a completely necessary front-engine rebuild. Not having a lot of money I knew I could not afford that. I then called Foreign Cars which was next on my list. They said it it might just be a bad sensor and told me to bring it in. I did and was quoted approximately $220 once they took a look and found the issue to be a bad sensor and a air pocket in one of the tubes. After they finished I came in to pick up my vehicle and was surprised to be told my bill was only $170. I did not think I could find a mechanic that not only met but surpassed what I thought a good mechanic should be. That was until I met Peter and Scott. So thank you to both of you. No matter where I move to in the future I will happily go out of my way to continue to bring my vehicle here as great service and excellent work is difficult to find. I highly recommend you bring your vehicle here and experience what I have. I am certain you will form the same opinion for yourself. read more
