I brought my 1year old Mimi Malti Poo to West Coast Groomers for his first haircut. I relied on reviews to find the right place and couldn't be any happier then I was to find West Coast. I am writing this review for anyone looking for the perfect place. I have had dogs my whole life and this is dog #6 and the best place. Literally the most amazing groomers! They took great care of him and were completely on top of my extremely specific instructions. They gave my Malti Poo the perfect hair cut that keeps looking better as it grows in 2 weeks later. No cuts, and they had a year worth of hair to cut off him. I highly recommend West Coast. If you could see the before and after my dog had a complete glow up and looks adorable. read more

What a little gem! We were looking for a new place to take our pups to get groomed and our experience could not have been better. Our Shih Tzu looked great and had so much fun, usually he hates going to the groomer, but he was playing with other pups and looked so cute afterwards. Our miniature pincher was so shiny. Both baths came with nail clipping and filing, an ear cleaning and more more service I cannot recall. The selection of services is standard, the staff is friendly, and the facility is clean. Our long hair dog was $55 our short haired dog came out to $45. We think they loved it but see for yourself! read more

My first time there. What a fabulous job they did on my Shih Tzu. He was perfectly groomed and the envy of the dog park. I highly recommend.

In spite of good reviews that was not our last experience. We have been coming here for a while and most of the time the cut looks okay, but not this time. Got our dog back after grooming and she was acting very strange. She was not the normally happy dog we have. They shaved her all over so close she won't even sit on her bottom. Her backside and tail is beat red and sore from being shaved so close. She fights going to the bathroom because it is uncomfortable. She cries and constantly keeps looking at her hind end like something is wrong. We called the vet and we took her in. He said her tail was cut way too short to the skin and it is irritating her. He questioned why they cut that part of her. Great question! She had some matting on her main body and chest but not her tail due to surgery and her harness. We do brush her but because of her surgery she could not get groomed so her hair matted. It was not to the point of shaving her entire body! Her tail was not matted as we checked her over before dropping her off. They were told NOT to shave her, but said they had no choice when I questioned it. I don't believe they had to do that to our poor dog. She is completely traumatized. When we told them how our dog was feeling they had no empathy and said they had no choice because she was matted. It's been over a week and her tail is still red and bothering her. It is going to be at least a month of recovering. Animals should not be treated that way and thinking of how it will affect them has to come to mind. Never going back and will never recommend them. They don't care about the animals comfort, just what is easier for them to do. Apparently this is their normal practice if a dog has matting because we have found Google reviews who share the same experience. We are sad for our dog and angry about them not giving a crap that she is suffering. read more

Recently moved to the area, and was looking for a new groomer for our two furbabies. One, a sometimes temperamental husky, and the other a fragile Shichon with prior physical issues. I did a walk-in visit without the pups just to get a feel for the space. Everyone was so friendly! They took the time to talk to me about my dogs. Welcomed me to visit back again. We finally scheduled a full grooming for both pups, and couldn't have been happier with the results. Both dogs look, smell and feel great!
