Did a walk-in and was advised that location did not do ultrasound.tThe receptionlist told me none of the locations did ultrasound and I needed to go to a hospital. So, poor training ? Then called to book appointment, was told as my doctor did not specify that the ultrasound was for a bump they would not book. She hung up on me without warning .Then I switched to Northshore Imaging. I forwarded the same requisition , no problem, booked righ off the bay. I had to change the time of my booking appointment made from my doctor office , but it was impossible to talk to anyone. I had to ask my doctor's office to change it for me. The day I arrived at the clinic, the staff at the reception were courteous but the technician who did the examination was very rude and hurtful. I really hope to never meet her again. read more

If zero stars was an option, it wouldn't be low enough. My partner 26NB, got referred to this clinic for an ultrasound due to 16 years of uterine pain and unregulated periods. First moment of major patient practitioner violations, my partners private information including what the appointment was for was leaked to an abusive parent (emergency contact from 10 years ago, plus we updated my info to be on file since but nothing was ever updated). They "apologized" for the error which was a massive violation of privacy and created a bunch of problems with that incident alone. After dealing with that, we wanted to see if I 29M would be able to enter the room as a chaperone for the ultrasound, which on their web page, and in the building says patients are welcome to be accompanied by a chaperone. We get to the building, 8:35am, partner is 4 bottles of water deep for the appointment. First thing they asked the front desk was if I was able to be in the room, unsure about it, they brought my partner into the treatment room. Our appointment is for 8:40 and my partner gets into a room for 9:00ish. The practitioner then entered the room with the request to have a chaperone/support in the room which would've been me. My partner was then denied service and I could hear in the waiting room to "add this on her file" from the practitioner. We asked for the practitioner license number to file a formal complaint, but were not provided any information including any phone numbers or emails which should be available to any patients. They continually referred to my partner as she and her when their pronouns are she/they, which none of them cared to look at. To leak a patient's private information, deny them service after they make sure they can have a chaperone, and adding something to their file as a punishment? I'm absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the main practitioner for being so incompetent and lazy with their practice. Waving their hands in my partners face, denying the treatment my partner absolutely needs and punishing them for following their rules. This place needs to be looked at thoroughly, from the front desk to the practitioners. All signs about respect and chaperoning need to be removed as those signs are misleading and very obviously not true anymore. My partner NEEDS an ultrasound, and now they aren't comfortable at all after a situation like this. Once we speak to managers and colleges, your practitioner will be hearing from my lawyer for privacy negligence and the damage that has done, as well as malpractice for the lack of professionalism but disrespect to my partner, including the proper use of pronouns. I will be reaching out to the BC human rights tribunal to speak further on the matter, as my partner is non binary, black and Chinese with she/they pronouns, was never referred to properly, was denied treatment even though online and in person you have signs welcoming chaperones. All in all, -6/10. 3 violations, signs that need to be removed, information that was not available, issues with my partner will continue without treatment they denied. I made an appointment online and waited about a week for someone to get back to me to confirm, to no avail. Then I tried calling four times with no one to actually talk to as their volume of callers was higher than usual. Two weeks after my initial online booking and my fifth phone call, someone finally answered. I tried to confirm my online booking - but the employee insisted to make a booking with her, I asked to come to the clinic closest to my house, but was booked 15 km instead of 3 km away, for no apparent reason. At the appointment, the clinic's paid parking was very difficult to find and neither the receptionist nor the technician even greeted me. I was seen on time (the only plus here, folks) an was shown into a little room with no privacy to change, the garbage was overflowing with used tissue paper and the smell was not inviting to say the least. The technician asked me to lie down lift my shirt and pull my pants down and inserted a piece of paper towel between my pants and my skin but only on one side though the renal ultrasound was done on both sides, leaving my pants full of gel. She was very rude when giving instructions, like telling me to breath out without telling me to breath in, first and demanding to know why I am here half way through the exam, which left me uneasy. After the exam was abruptly finished she handed me a very little piece of tissue to clean myself, and started cleaning the footprint (the part of the ultrasound machine that touches the patient) with a paper towel and no apparent cleaning solution. I am not sure if that is just regular procedure, but I for one found that extremely unhygienic and disgusting. I will NEVER use their "services" again! read more

When i could finally reach them by phone (after several attempts and long waittimes) I was told that they had my referral, so I do not understand why they did not contact me about an appointment. My doctor office made an appointment for me here to do an ultrasound on my foot. Despite having an appointment, it was still a wait (15-30 minutes) before my name was called. Those getting an X-ray did not require an appointment and were seen pretty quickly. At least those who arrived after me were called before me. You could walk in for X-ray but you will need the doctor's requisition form. The process is simple and the place is clean. The washroom is located outside and the staff will take you there as a key is needed. Construction was going on so I did not see the entry for the parking inside the building. Thankfully street parking (2 hours free) is available on Broadway. The skytrain station is just across so this is a fairly convenient place. There is no visible sign from the street so look for the building number. I missed the door and had to backtrack. read more

It is impossible to reach them through the phone (from 1-3pm I spent on the phone trying to call them), in 1,5hr someone replied and it got disconnected. They entourage patients to book through the site. That's what I had done prior calling them. I don't have my own cell phone, so I tried to book my ultrasound on my landline phone. This morning(Nov.6), I called the #5337 West Coast Medical Imaging. The receptionist, a man, who took the phone, cut off my conversations 2 times, so I could not book my ultrasound test yet. He was so ruthless. I did phone to book my appointment many times in the past, but never talked to anyone so impatient and so ruthless like this guy. So bad experience with the new online phone receptionist. Trying to make an appointment over the phone for an FastTrack X-Ray appointment is horrible. Their Website directs you to call the location in order to do this. I was on hold for over 30 minutes and when the someone finally picked up I was hung up on before completing the appointment and they never called back....my daughter has social anxiety so she can't do a walk in as you never no how long you have to wait...I wish there was another company locally that provided X-Rays as this is not the first time I've had issues with them. read more

I tried to give my feedback directly to management, but after leaving multiple messages I am posting here to warn pregnant people away from this place. I attended the Broadway and commercial location for a follow up scan after seeing a fetal heartbeat on a hospital scan a week prior. The ultrasound tech wouldn't let my partner in, misgendered my partner repeatedly, and scolded me for not having a full enough bladder. She was rough with the intravaginal ultrasound and when she couldn't find a heart beat she ended the exam, refused to answer any of my questions and got my partner from the waiting room. She told my partner I was miscarrying, instead of telling me directly. Later the ultrasound tech joined us in the exam room and said about my miscarriage, while I was sobbing, 'it's god's will.' This technician shouldn't be practicing. She has caused me incredible emotional damage in an already painful situation. I don't want others to get hurt by her in the same way. read more

I am a straight forward detailed level headed person with honesty for feedback as a muse for inspiration for motivation Is that all aside now overall I have to say for most of the part it was okay but I'm not at all racist and I have a Hakuna Matata life philosophy added to my daily life so everyone was nice and cheerful and I added my own good energy it was quiet as a mouse and I suggested that they should put some music in the background or TV to cut the tension I'm really not used to this covid-19 sin crap and that's my opinion that's probably not widely shared but I don't want to live in fear a healthy people just because some people in some areas of the world say it's dangerous I don't believe the x-rays were on par but then the thing I know I have in my head and eyes feel everyday didn't show up in the x-rays although that's what my doctor said and I have not seen the x-rays myself which I'd like to However everyone kept pretty nice and mellow so it's almost 50/50 without the single-digit percent added There needs to be a way for people to remain calm and not go stupid mob crazy on one person who will obey the social distancing but refuses to wear a mask I'm sorry no it's not for me Anyway all in all I wish the business the best and love and peace to them and all who read this review read more

Is it really that difficult to ANSWER the phone? It took over a week of calling and leaving messages before they finally called me back to reschedule and appointment, and by then it was too late and the they were booked for the only window of time I was going to be able to go. Now I have to go back to the doctor and try to get in somewhere else. They are also very rude and abrupt on the phone, even threatened to charge me for a missed appointment if I didn't go to the one they had booked without rescheduling, even though it was still more than 24 hours away. In the future I will make sure to ask to go ANYWHERE else for tests. read more

I would strongly recommend against the new Westminster location if you are expecting parents. the Male ultrasound technician is extremely rude and cold. He essentially bashed my stomach with the wand while huffing and puffing that the baby was not in the right position. he seemed to be in a rush and incredibly disinterested in the fact that first time parents to be had come into the office, excited to see their baby. He did not let me empty my bladder through the entire ordeal, and gave no information. I had heard that other clinics will advise you stretch and walk to try and get baby to move but he didn't let me know that was an issue, instead he spent 30 minutes sighing, hurting my stomach, and shaking his head. Letting me think the absolute worst. he made me feel horrible, like it was my fault the baby was not in position. He gave us a blurry picture, halfheartedly pointed out two things on the screen, maintaining it's not his fault and the doctor will maybe be able to tell us if the baby is ok but who knows. And then threw a tissue at me to clean up. He does not even leave the room to allow you a moment of privacy to clean up and fix your clothes. He has no regard for anxious patients, or even general human decency. There is no way someone like that should be working in patient care. I will never return to this clinic, and advise all of my friends and family of this experience. I left in tears, a happy day I had been so exited for, ruined. Which could have been so easily remedied with some kindness and professionalism on his part. read more

Hands down the worst place to go for pregnancy ultrasounds. DO NOT ATTEND FOR ANY PREGNANCY SCANS. Not only was the receptionist napping while I waited for my scan, the technician did an awful job. In her report to my doctor she diagnosed me with a low lying anterior placenta which was apparently on my cervix according to her. She then advised me she was unable to see certain parts of my babies anatomy and also noted in her report I was too fat for it to be scene. Study is difficult due to large maternal body... yet she told me she couldn't see anything because the baby was too small. I was 20 weeks pregnant during my scan and had only gained 15 lbs. Her comments to me contradict everything she wrote in her report. Her diagnosis on the things she did apparently see were extremely incorrect and telling a patient your baby is too small is NOT OKAY. Her exact words to me were the baby is too small to see the heart beat. I thought I was losing my baby for christ sakes. Thankfully, I had a doctors appointment two days later. I was advised by my doctor that WCMI is notorious for getting things wrong and not providing all the details required, they are also apparently known for getting the gender wrong. My doctor sent me for an emergency 2nd scan to another company due to the high risks that the technician claimed I had. The second scan proved WCMI wrong in every aspect. I was not at risk for a low lying anterior placenta, I was not "too fat" to see my baby's anatomy, my baby was not too small, and the heart beat was just fine. And this scan was done only 4 days after the one at WCMI. I am a FTM to be and this woman's blatant ignorance terrified me to death. I wish there was repercussions for this company for things like this and ESPECIALLY the technician and napping receptionist. read more

Read through the reviews before coming here and was pretty nervous for my visit. I only had 2 location options to choose from as I was getting an ultrasound and the reviews for this location were just a little bit more positive than the Kerrisdale location. Despite all the negative experiences and reviews, I had a really great experience. They got me booked in quite quickly (within 1 week of calling), answered the phone decently fast as well - however expect a wait time considering its a busy service. The lady who booked me was a bit rude, but that was the only hiccup. The actual clinic itself wasn't very busy, maybe because my appointment was booked for the evening - I was literally the only person there. The gentleman working reception was super nice and welcoming, and the ultrasound technician was great too. She was very professional, and checked in on me quite a lot during our appointment. She explained what we would be doing before conducting any tests, and made sure to make me as comfortable as possible. I'm not sure where all the negativity is from surrounding this office not disclosing the gender of some people's children... but there are signs plastered on the walls specifically stating that you can discuss results with your physician.. if you want it done right there, you should probably go to a fertility clinic or somewhere thats meant to only do these ultrasounds. The people here conduct various tests, likely take daily patient abuse and likely aren't trained to be as nurturing as some would like but thats canadian healthcare for you. Its free. After waiting for a week to get an abdominal x-ray, they refused to do it because I am in a wheelchair and the table is too high for me to get onto without assistance. Even though I weigh about 80 pounds, the technicians wouldn't help and when another gentleman offered to help, they wouldn't allow that either. They don't bother to ask if you'l need assistance when the appointments are booked. They simply refuse to serve people in wheelchairs. I don't understand how this is even legal. read more

Just went to "West coast medical imaging" on broadway/commercial for an x ray on my knee and had SUCH an uncomfortable experience. Alone in a dark room with a male x ray technician who asks me to lay on my side and get into "sexy pose" so he could capture my knee at the right angle. Once I was I position he proceeded to ask me if I modeled, I replied no & he says "why not? You have the body, looks and height for it". I was too uncomfortable to call him out, so I quickly changed the subject and asked when I would get my results. So unprofessional!! I will not be going here ever again & I'll work on figuring out how to move forward with my complaint. read more

A fine, clean place for an ultrasound or x-Ray and I'm glad that this is review 555 instead of 666 or it could have been a bad omen. Since they do very few ultrasounds for major injuries, you might have to wait up to four months for your appointment. An ultrasound is more reliable than an x-Ray, I discovered. They are good about calling you if there is a cancellation, or even as a reminder for your appointment. Good luck getting in on time when they schedule you before a long weekend, however. Apparently, not everyone takes off early even if traffic indicates otherwise. So the waiting part with an app't is a bit annoying. The good thing is that it's still fairly easy to find free parking and the skytrain is there. *note* - Since there are other medical buildings around here, this is the one on the same side as the pizza place and it has security. Inevitably, wherever I park I end up walking across the street to the wrong side. Police abound in this area so try not to speed or jaywalk to get here. read more

Came here to have ultrasound with my wife. I was denied viewing until last 2 mins. Technician was rude and when I questioned the policy they sent a tech to speak to me who had just done an ultrasound with a family member there the whole time. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. *update. Finally invited in and found out my wife wasn't shown the screen during the ultrasound. Guildford clinic. I asked for my wife to be present to tell us if we were having twins, but tech told me before my wife was present. Next ultrasound we asked for gender results but tech never sent it. My doctor has requested the results and I've been in touch, but haven't heard anything back over a week later. My doctor has even said the results she gets from this clinic are inconsistent. Avoid if you can! read more

had one of the most unprofessional experience at the 120th location . the front office staff is very unprofessional ad uncourteous . i had an appointment at 11.45am reached 10 min early upon reaching realized that i had forgotten the requisition . called my doctor's office they informed me that they had already send it but the staff said did not receive the same . requested the doctor's office to fax it on the number given . than was told not to fax it as the fax would take 1 hr to be received . than recalled called the doctor's office and asked them to email who wee kind enough to re send it . as this whole process to get the email took about 9 min over my time which was 11.45 , at 11.54 i was told that they have not received the email yet a it was late they will do CT scan of one shoulder and the other shoulder could have to rebook .to my shock how did they know what CT scan was i suppose to get done as they had not received my request nor they ask me . The only way could be that they had the request form already . Went in for an x-Ray. The receptionist was very nice and efficient. The wait wasn't long, I was in and out within 15 minutes including the wait time. The x-Ray technician explained the steps and process, very professional. Hint: go first thing in the morning, preferably not on a Monday or Friday. read more
