We just lost out 14 yearold dachsund Emma. Her passing happened very unexpected and she was put to sleep quickly. We were heart broken and distraught. The vet clinic recommended West Coast Pet Memorial in Colbert WA. Within a week we had a baby girl's ashes beautifully perserved in a cedar urn with her name engraved on it. We recently lost our dog of over 13 years. In the past the ashes were delivered back to the vet by whatever crematory they (the vet clinic) contracted with, and then the vet would call to tell us a week and a half later to tell us we could come pick up our pet. With Family Pet Memorial they picked her up from the vet, and performed her private cremation. They (FPM staff) personally called me two days later to let me know that her cremation was complete, and to schedule an appointment to "bring her back home" (I loved that). When the staff (Cory) delivered her back to us he was very compassionate. Cory presented us with a nice bookmark with a poem, and embedded with flower seeds we could plant in our garden in her memory. She was also delivered in a nice heart shaped case. I have used Family Pet Memorial several times now, since they were recommended by my vet after I moved home to Spokane a decade ago and my three elderly cats came with me. Unfortunately for their humans, most furry pets don't live nearly as long as their human adoptive family, and one by one the cremations of those three loved pets were handled for me by Family Pet Memorial. Cats that I rescued and cared for until they passed away have also been cremated for me by this wonderful group of people. Each time my cat's remains were picked up by caring and patient members of the company, handling my pet's remains with respect. The ashes were returned to me with unsurpassed kindness and patience while waiting for my tears to slow. Their thoughtfulness in giving me the memorial card with an attached heart made of wildflower seeds was a sweet touch as well. I cannot recommend them more highly. read more

My beautiful boy Baxter died at some point in the night and we had no earthly idea what to do when we found him. As many of you probably know, when you're in shock and grieving it's difficult to think about things like that. We looked on line and found Family Pet Memorial. Our experience was stellar. They came out within just a few hours to pick up his little body. They were respectful, kind, patient and most importantly called Baxter by his name when they talked about him. He wasn't just a cat to us, he was a family member and we were appreciative that they understood that. They followed up with us the next day, saying his ashes would be returned to us two days later. True to their word they delivered him back home in a little, white plastic urn. (We chose to get his permanent urn on Amazon - slightly cheaper) Pricing is based on the animals weight so we paid $130 for the service (animals up to 25 lbs are at this price) and it was worth every penny. It's hard enough to deal with losing your sweet fuzzbutt, so having them there to take care of the rest was really priceless. Thank you Family Pet Memorial for what you do. A few weeks ago we lost our cat. I had her with me for over 13 years and she meant so much to me! We just moved here from California and I had not even found a vet. It was all so overwhelming. Thankfully I found these guys! I called them that morning and they were very sympathetic and comforting. They came over that day and picked her up. He answered all my questions and left me with some information. Within a few days he called me back and set up an appointment to drop off my cats ashes. He was right on time and very sympathetic. I was pretty upset. He put her ashes in a small earn with the date she passed and her name. It came in a nice blue bag with a beautiful saying. He also left a poem with a paper heart that was made out of wildflowers you plant in the location you spread the ashes. It was quite affordable and I would definitely use them again for my furry loved ones. read more

We recently had to put our pug to sleep and were devistated. We chose to cremate her and were told about the services from our vet. From the first call to the final pick up they were kind, understanding, and helpful. They are a class act. Our girl died on Friday and was returned to us in a beautiful box on Sunday. One week ago, I had to let my sweet 19 year old cat go. Family pet picked up my sweet Beasly from the vet for her private cremation. They called me to let me know that they had my girl, and were going to be performing her private cremation. They set up a time for them to drive Beasly home. I did not have to go get her, or get a box out of the mail like some crappy Amazon package. Beasly was delivered in a beautiful wooden box with a metal name placard with her name engraved on it. Family Pet also sent a copy of the Rainbow Bridge poem and a "heart" which you plant and wildflowers will grow to remind you of your special pet. I am extremely grateful for the kindness and attention to detail my sweet girl received on her final journey. I dread ever having to use Family Pet's services ever again, but I know I will choose them when the time comes for my other fur babies. read more

We have used pet memorial 5 times over the years.. They are extremely compassionate, professional and caring. Each experience was different for us and all was amazing. We have brought our precious dog sparky and actually laid him in the crematorium as we wanted and then went on the mountain and watched and prayed as they cremated him and then picked him back up..this was important to us as we did not want to be separated...the next two we brought to them and then they returned them to us when finished..We could do this because now we knew they were very trustable and would treat our animals with love and respect. Most recent, we had to put our last two dogs of 16 plus years down 2 months apart. We were unable to drive them due to health conditions.Everett was on call the week each of them got sick and then when called he met me with each one, took to be cremated and returned to us.. He is So respectful kind and genuine. Our community is So lucky to have a place like family pet memorial..you know when they say guaranteed single cremation, it is just that.
