I would like to sum up the terrible events and service that has been done to me. I paid for a new table and delivery and it was damaged on arrival. I requested originally for a new replacement table and then decided later on I wanted a different table instead but the inconsistent instructions on how to get that new table with my refund and return has been a horrible experience. Order of events: 19:17 November 25 - Spoke with Agent for 53 minutes, issue not resolved as the agent had the agent hung up and did not have a callback or any email to confirm even though I gave my order number. 9:26 November 26 - Called again, 19 minutes, agent advised and confirmed the Purolator label would be shipped/take a few days to issue, they will pick it up. 16:38 November 26 - I called to ask about getting a different more expensive table instead but was advised that the table has to be returned first. Once the table is returned, I was advised to call before the new replacement table was shipped out in order to get the refund instead. 12:15 December 2 - the damaged table was picked up by Purolator 10:45 December 3 - 51 minutes on the phone I was advised the table was already shipped out for "December 3" and I was shocked because I was shocked at how quick and early that was. Then I was told it would be arriving Dec 6. That it is now too late to receive a refund since the table is already being shipped. I was waiting for over 30 minutes only to be told that I cannot get a new Purolator label for pick up since it is not over 50 lbs, but they were only able to pick up the original table since it was damaged. I do not drive. I was misinformed by your agents. As a result, I am now expected to have to physically bring a table back when its been notated that: 1. I do not drive 2. I wanted a new table (more expensive one mind you) and this apparently not notated by your agent that I wanted a new table instead but your company decided to send the new replacement table anyway without notice/consulting my file. 3. Time was wasted when we could've saved each other times if I was given the proper information and instructions first, yet the inconsistencies of this experience has been appalling to say the least. You have tainted this been a horrible experience and this must be made known because of your lack of support and inconsistent knowledge from your agents and policies. I will be sure and make known that this company, has failed products and customer service.

Awful customer service, they don't care about their shipping dates. If you buy something expect it in 5 months

I didn't catch her name but she helped me get an estimate for what the delivery fee would be and I had the option to take 2 chairs home and come pick up the rest another day. Part 2 of my pick up, she recognized me and helped me take the dining table out of its box so I can fit it in my car and carry it out easier. She carried all the way outside of the store. She's petite and I wasn't expecting her to help me right out the door and she did! I can't say the same happens at other stores even if it's someone taller stronger, they may not help carry out something so willingly. Thanks for the great shopping experience!

During my move, I worked close to their old location on Ossington, and drew so much inspiration from their aesthetic during my lunch breaks. I even painted my new bedroom the exact same Benjamin Moore green that they had in their storefront window. The space of their newer location on Dundas is wonderful (aka much more room for cute things). Highly recommend. Everyone is always friendly and helpful as well.

How could I NOT go into this store!? Looks-wise it's just like the standard HomeGoods we're used to in the States... except its bigger and better. And really roomy. Sometimes these types of stores are so packed you can barely move around - not this location. Set in a lower level/basement like space it felt modern and comfortable. Walking in - I instantly wished I had brought an extra duffle bag. Between the aisles of pillows, the kitchen/dining section, and the picture frames - I was in heaven. Fortunately for Hubs they also have tons of furniture, so he was able to find a {super cute} chair up front to relax in while I wandered. B/c my luggage could not accommodate all that I had seen I settled on a really beautiful picture frame to commemorate our visit to Toronto. Check out was super easy - seeing as how they had several cashiers available. And my frame, after $$ conversion was only $7. Yay for HomeSense!

My friend and I carried it from this store to my apartment, roughly two blocks away. It was that heavy, but it was a minimalistic, practical item that looked good in a tiny space. Over a decade ago, I used to attend musicals in the entertainment district. I would often visit the Umbra store before a show. I got everything from the Bungee to photo frames. To this day, I travel with a Bungee, which stores various US credit cards and currency. I often swap them out with my Canadian ones when I'm am stateside, and vice-versa when I return home. The bungee part has never weakened after all these years. There isn't any parking by this store. I had parked across the street under Shoppers Drug Mart. I walked over to check this store out. It felt the same, except that the top floor is now a clearance section. I was so happy. I love penguins have been a fan of Umbra's penguin liquid soap pump since its inception in 2008. This clearance section had a modern version of the penguin pump dispenser, including an automatic version. These dispensers were 50% off. I got one of each. The only item that I didn't like was a coiled stool. It was not comfortable sitting on it. It was in the clearance section. Only folks who want to replace the coiled top with a comfortable cushion would be inclined to buy one. This store is kind of like a museum. It was fun seeing when items were first introduce by year and how they have endured. The Bungee and penguin pumps are two such items. It was nice seeing jewellery racks and vessels for plants and more. I tend to get inspired sprucing up my place whenever I see Umbra products. Strumba caught my attention, which is Umbra's version of the kalimba. If I didn't own a kalimba already, I would have bought the Strumba. It's a fun, small instrument to play. There's so much coolness at this store. Doorstoppers. Chess sets. Shoe racks. Tipsy bottle openers to match the sipper. I had the nicest man at the checkout. I paid with a credit card. He placed my items in a paper bag with handles and came out of his area to hand it to me. It was such a classy move and was a nice touch. I wished him a great evening. He reciprocated. I left happy with my clearance items. I hope to not wait over a decade to return to this store. Of note, my soap dispensers are awesome. (389)
