I've personally always been a bit skeptical of chiropractors, but I began having really awful back pain and I took advantage of the Free Health Consultation. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with two of the best attitudes at the front desk (Sam, Jessica) and a wonderful cup of tea. I had my exam with Dr. John and he got to know me, my goals, etc., and helped me understand what some of my problems were. They helped me work out a fantastic treatment and payment plan. That was about 4-6 months ago (it's so hard to keep track), and even to this day I actually look forward to going into the office! They do practice open adjustments (private if you wish). I get massages from Sara, and she is just the best. I can't even... you have to go meet her for yourself. It's really more like going to a little family or community get together a couple times a week, I just love it. I was actually a little disappointed when my appointments went from 3 down to 2 times a week. But the good news is... I feel SO so so much better than I ever thought I could. I stand taller, my posture is better, my back isn't in awful pain AND my headaches have about diminished. My experience as a patient at West End Chiropractic has been nothing short of amazing! These guys really take the time to get to know you on a personal level and your to understand the condition your in to help you attain a healthy lifestyle. The team at West End has been phenomenal! For most of my adult life I have had on-and-off bouts of chronic back pain, most of which has been triggered by trivial movement. West End came highly recommended, and the results thus far speak for themselves--my range of motion is better, my day-to-day posture has improved, and I have had reduced pain in problem areas (neck, shoulders, lower back). Upon my first visit, I went through a comprehensive spinal health assessment (with xrays) to provide the team with baseline information on day-to-day spinal health stresses, lifestyle-related spinal health stresses, and a spinal health and functional ability rating. Using this information the team put together a comprehensive care plan based on my own goals from treatment and my budget and does re-assessments to determine how my spinal health is progressing over time. Further, the team puts an emphasis on PT, which I appreciate because it puts tangible things for myself to work on to ensure long-term spinal health. What an amazing place. I see Dr. John, he is kind, patient and funny. We started with a thorough analysis of my health and then discussed a treatment plan. Dr. John talks with you all through the adjustment so you know what he's doing and why. He communicates with my trainer so we are focusing on my strengths and weaknesses. As an older patient, flexibility is vital. Dr. John pushes all the parts of my body to move to their greatest potential. He collaborates with Cale, he is the therapist. Cale's role is to put me through drills that help stretch and strengthen muscles, some of which we use everyday and some have forgotten we have. Cale is the nicest guy, but he makes you work. I was sent home with 'homework' drills to do on my own. It only takes a few minutes and is worth it. You can tell that it is a comfortable atmosphere. You can hear by the chatter that the staff are comrades and establish relationships with clients. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. You are treated as an individual. I participated in a fund raising event and somehow wound up with an injury. After about a week of not being able to turn my head, I decided I had better check in with a professional. I met with Dr. John, and, after the initial consultation we decided that I would start on a rehabilitation program. I had also broken my calcaneous, (heel), in an obstacle race in 2016. The orthopedic doctor said that I would develop arthritis and never fully heal from that injury. After just ten weeks of working the program, I am making plans to start training for a race next summer, I haven't felt this good for two years! My journey with the Doctors at West End Chiropractic and Wellness began when they were interns at a different office. The relief they provided for my back pain, and their positive attitude, professionalism and overall demeanor made me follow them to their new clinic. I started going to WEC not quite a month ago and I only wish I found them years ago. I have had amazing results with Dr. John, and I can't believe how great the acupuncture worked on my sinuses with Dr. Andy! I have RA and Dr. Andy and I are going to start working on those areas. The plan can be pricey and involve commitment but it is worth it. My insurance company paid for first 12 visits and they were great in coming up with pricing for my remaining visits.
