First, he asked us to follow the hearse in our car, then halfway through the ride, he blew a yellow light and kept going. At the cemetery it was rush, rush, rush. The final blow was, as I collected the other half of the funeral home's payment from my sister, the Mullins guy took my place as pallbearer and carried my mom to her grave without me. The other pallbearers protested, but he ignored them. We were in and out of the cemetery in about 20 minutes. This was as cold and uncaring an experience as I've ever had. My sister left in tears over it. And I was robbed of the experience of carrying my mom to her final resting place, all because the Mullins guy was late for lunch or something. My family will hurt for a long time because of it.

We…read moreasked if the grave side service would be recorded, we were told that it would be available for the out of town relatives on a Zoom format and on a thumb drive. As it turned out the first 60 seconds were recorded, then the screen went black. John informed us that the recording company still had the Zoom video and it was still intact at a cloud platform. We called several times but eventually was told the Zoom in fact was not going to be available. We believe that personnel at Shure Funeral Home made the error at the time of the recording of the video. The family is devastated that this sensitive moment in the life of a family has not been preserved.

Honestly, if you think a proper Jewish burial is the way to do this, then I suggest you contact whatever synagogue would be proper/open to listening, and explain the situation and see if they have a fund for such a scenario or congregants who are willing to donate the money. They also air personal people's information on the internet. Quite shocked and in disbelief. Private matters and death is a matter that should be dealt with respect and humility.
