Dr. Parsa examined me for an issue I am having due to an infection starting to build around a previous root canal. His examination was thorough. And, he went to great care to explain the nature of my current condition and the possible remedies available. In fact, he explained that removing the tooth and doing an implant might be the most viable option given the age and condition of my tooth. What's important about this suggestion is to understand that he would not profit from an implant; it's outside the scope of his practice. the whole office is kind and friendly. Dr Parsa is a real pro. He is correcting and re-doing old root canals that were done incorrectly and have become infected. He was relaxed and mellow through the whole procedure. And made sure that I was comfortable, and pain free. he kept me at ease and calm. I was nervous going in to the the root canal and the procedure was much easier then I thought it would be. I wish I had gone to his practice 10 years ago and had the root canal done by him in the first place. Also. He preformed a root canal on a tooth that had a crown on it. Dr. Parsa is the best endodontist. I am so grateful for all the root canal work Dr.Parsa performed on my teeth. When I came to Dr. Parsa for the first time, I had a lot of infections in my root canals. He was THE ONLY endodontist who knew how to fix complicated root canal cases like mine was. He did what no other endodontists could do. He treated and saved ALL my 6 teeth, which had major infections in the root canals for years. He performed very complicated root canal re-treatments for my #2 and #3 teeth (in 2022), and he did root canal re-treatments for my #7 and #10 teeth (in 2023). I am especially thankful for the complicated apicoectomy surgery he performed on my tooth 7 (in 2024), where he removed a huge infection, and the healing was amazing. He is an amazing person -- very knowledgeable, highly professional, detail-oriented, skilled, very experienced, and really knows teeth. He has an excellent bedside manner. Had the best root canal experience with Dr Parsa at West LA Endodontics! Many, many years ago I got my amalgam fillings replaced with porcelain. Because the size of the filling in my molar was so large and had shifted over time, I needed an on-lay/partial crown to replace it. The work failed in less than a year and that dental office wouldn't honor guaranteeing their work because the fine print said I would've to have gotten X-rays at every cleaning. I was angry and left that office but never found a new dentist. I've taken good care of my teeth but because the molar was broken and exposed for so long, all these years later it needed a root canal. I found West LA Endodontics online. I was able to get an appointment quickly within two days. I thought it was for the actual procedure but it was only for the consultation, X-rays and CT scan, although they do offer emergency services. Dr Parsa was through, explained everything and showed a video that also explained root canals. He asked if I had any questions and encouraged me to have some when I didn't and we scheduled for a couple of weeks out. Now for the best part, the actual root canal went wonderful!!! He talked me through every aspect of the procedure. Put topical numbing cream in my mouth before using the syringe and warned when I may feel a pinch, pressure or pain. I didn't feel pain at all. My actual tooth roots were smaller than usual which made him have to work harder and a little longer but he explained all of it as he went. He warned when I would feel or smell something. In the end he showed me pictures and X-rays of the completed work. He prescribed ibuprofen for pain and an antibiotic to take only if I experienced swelling post procedure. I did take one round of pain meds later that night as the numbing was subsiding just so the pain didn't become too much but when I woke the next morning I didn't have pain! I had some slight soreness but that's all. I am 1 week post procedure and I have not taken any more meds and no trace of pain or soreness. I was shocked that I had no pain after actual dental surgery! I get my crown from a dentist they referred, who is in the same building on a different floor, in a couple of weeks. I don't plan on being back because I don't anticipate needing any more root canals but I Highly recommend Dr Parsa and West LA Endodontics!! read more
