We were seated at a table with strangers which was a little uncomfortable, I didn't want to be eating with anyone else. I ordered the pasta primavera. I have seen some awesome shows here. from comedians to psychics ect. however no matter how good the performance is they have a 2 item minimum which is fine except that the food is abysmal. i have never had one good thing to eat there. i have finally learned to just order my two items as either wine or beer; at least i know what i am getting there. good shows for sure tho! read more

Worst experience ever last night (1/28/17)! Was promised a booth by a manager;ended up crammed into a table on a busy aisle. Received one of our 4 meals 45 min before the other 3. Appetizer came with the main course. Was never asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert. A prime example of how NOT to treat your customers! Five of us went to the New Years Eve show the other night and saw Tom Cotter. He was great. His wife Kerri came on before him and she was just as funny. We enjoyed champagne and snack trays. Great way to bring in the new year, pure laughter all night long. The service was very good which was surprising, being it was a holiday. I just came back from Tonight's show with " Shawn Wayans" Brandon Mueller was our ViP host coordinator. He did an amazing job of making sure we had proper seating, center middle private table, along with personalized service with his number to text at any time if during or before the show we needed anything or had any possible questions. The venue was great, and I was actually impressed with the food quality and beverages. We actually took home souvenir glasses to Remember the evening. I would definitely come back and absolutely refer anyone who's looking to have a good time with great seats and "ZERO" headache to call Mr.Mueller and go the VIP route. We were actually taken right in without any wait in line and had our table with a card with our name on it to greet us. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say it was money well spent and My spouse and I really enjoyed ourselves. It takes a little extra to impress her usually ...they did and actually exceeded her expectations. No B.S. This place and the way we were treated was top notch. Levity Live is wonderful! They have awesome and popular comedians. The atmosphere is fun as soon as you walk in the door! The outside bar is spacious and eye catching and walking into the showroom, you get the sense your in a chic NYC comedy club yet without the expense of having to travel and pay to get into the city. Everything is reasonably priced and all around great time. The staff is professional friendly, especially the box office staff. I absolutely give this place 5 stars!! read more

I want to thank Brandon Mueller for making sure our evening at the Levity Comedy Club was perfect. My husband and I had been to the Levity Comedy Club once before about a year ago. We enjoyed the comedians and the atmosphere so much, that I wanted to celebrate my sister's birthday there. Since my guests were so important to me, I went in person to the box office after work to arrange it. The lady at the box office readily gave me a business card for the Event Manager, Brandon Mueller. Brandon Mueller responded to my phone message immediately. From our first conversation, Brandon was accommodating and patient, as if there was nothing he could not arrange for my guests. Although I had a party of only 11 people, as I explained to Brandon, my guests would include a young, injured veteran on a large, cumbersome wheelchair. I would need accessibility, ample space around the table area, and plenty of table space for the veteran. I also specified that we would need to be seated at a table where the veteran would have an excellent, unobstructed view of the show. In addition, I cautioned Brandon that he should leave a lot of space around our table, because the wheelchair could hurt other guests if anyone went too close to its wheels. Brandon and I spent more than a week emailing or calling each other mornings or evenings, to discuss my specification changes for my party. Each time Brandon was prompt to respond, patient and accommodating. Finally the night of the party, there was Brandon waiting for us right at the entrance of the club, to welcome us and to make sure that we were satisfied with all the accommodations he had arranged for us. Part of what I had discussed with Brandon was that, I wanted my veteran guest to feel vey specially catered to for just for being a VETERAN. So during the show, the star comedian made a brief pause to identify the veterans in the audience by a show of hands, singling them out, and thanking them for their service, with a round of applause. What a touch! Brandon and the wait staff made our celebration a very special one. Our guests enjoyed the comedians, and the food and drinks were delicious. Levity Comedy Club at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, Rockland County, NY was a hit with my guests. My very special veteran guest was treated as the royalty he is! This place is AWFUL. I went with a group of ten for my grandmothers birthday to see Tracy Morgan, and it was the worst experience at a comedy club I've ever had! First of all we waited over an hour on the line just to get in, because the show before ours ran late. The least they could've done was tell us why we were all waiting so long. Everyone on the line was complaining. We finally got in and settled at our table which wasn't so bad. The warm up acts came on and they were funny, so we all started to forget about the horrible line experience. My party ordered food and drinks, I cant describe the food this place is serving...I'd rather eat a bowl of oatmeal with onions in it. Don't ever order food here. We had called in advance and asked if we could bring a cake for her birthday, they said yes however it would cost $4 just to cut the cake for us. 4 dollars to cut my damn cake? Like we couldn't do it ourselves? Anyway we said fine just so we could enjoy cake for her birthday. Turned out it was $4 for EACH PERSON to have a plate with a piece of cake on it. You have got to be kidding me!????? On top of that - when we asked to have someone cut the cake up for us - our waiter told us that his manager said "There are more important things to worry about, tell them they cant have cake here." So after all that, calling in advance, standing on line for an hour, PREPARED to pay for the cake cutting, they didn't even let us have it. Thank god it wasn't ice cream cake! This all rounded up to create a terrible experience for us all. The cherry on top? Tracy Morgan was HORRIBLE. He is crude, vulgar, and disgusting and TRUST me I've seen dirty comics, but he had NO class what-so-ever and was simply NOT funny. He was awful. I was excited to see him because of his fame from 30 Rock and other comedies from the past few years but he really has just said F*ck it. Definitely wasn't something to bring your grandmother too. I couldn't understand why the audience was laughing half the time. It was all so bad that my entire party of ten people left early! Never a good feeling to have to walk out on a performer before they finish. It's rude but it had to be done. If you insist on going, I'd say make sure you love the comedian, because it's not worth your time if you're unsure. Also - make sure you have tix in advance and try to show up early to get into the bar so you don't have to wait on the line forever. DEFINITELY don't eat anything. Eat before you get there. It's a cute venue but they really need to get their stuff together. read more

Love this new venue at the Palisades Mall. Once inside, you forget you're even in the mall. We have gone to three shows so far, each one better than the next and have brought family and friends with us each time. I like the design because anywhere you sit is a great seat. The food is fun. Meatball sliders, personal pizza, fantastic salads, heros and MORE! The drinks...oooooh the drinks! Sex on the Stage is my favorite, but they have beer and soda and other mixed drinks available. Finally, a place in Rockland County where you can go to have a hearty laugh and a fun night out without spending the fortune you would spend going into the city. read more

My husband and I had a great time at Levity Live. We arrived at 7 pm to a short line, checked in to see headliner Rodney Laney, who was quite funny. The lead in comedian, Trevor Noah was also hilarious. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes and grilled carrots, which was tender and tasty. I was a little nervous about the food after reading the reviews. My husband had the blended beef burger which he said was so-so since he ordered medium well and it was a little overcooked, but he ate the entire thing. I'm having a hard time rating the place because there's multiple factors to consider. I've been there multiple times and the shows have been great overall. The short version: 1) GREAT venue for comics. Small and intimate which gets you up close and personal. It's well designed and it's not cramped like a lot of other venues. I'd definitely give that 5 stars. 2) The food is simply some of the worst I've had at any club. It's extremely pricey bar food that's so bad it's painful to eat. This gets the place -1 stars. 3) The comedians are top notch so far. I've seen Jo Koy (the best so far), Pablo Francisco (worst so far but his opening acts were great), Russell Peters (excellent), and a few others. 5 Stars for that. 4) Location is convenient but parking can be a pain since the mall is always packed on the weekends. 5) Ticket prices for the show are very reasonable. Prices for food and drink are not based on the quality that you get. The fact you're required to buy 2 items irks me since the quality isn't there and they use the requirement to get away with it. 3 Stars There's a 2 item minimum but any combo of items satisfies that requirement. I've tried usually the drink + food but I can't do it anymore. The food is just so horrible that it knocks the place down a few stars. The menu is supposed to be designed by some chef in NYC. If this is representative of his food, I definitely won't be visiting his restaurants. Supposedly his meatball sliders won awards. I can't fathom how as they really are below mediocre. The wings were bland, bacon sucked, funny fries were covered in cheese wiz, the cookies were stale, and the list goes on and on. I've tried to give the food multiple chances but I just can't do it anymore. So because the venue is awesome and the shows are great, I'll just eat elsewhere and buy 2 of the overpriced drinks from now on. read more

I've been to Levity Live a few times and last night Saturday 12/27/2014,was by far the worst experience. I ordered the pasta primavera and my friend ordered the ribs. The food was nothing special, the pasta was extremely oily and my friend's food was also not great. We both left the place with a full feeling and once we both got home, we had very bad stomach aches and ended up throwing up. We knew right then, that we had food poisoning. so we bought tickets for the Peter Russell's show, the guy is phenomenal, funny as hell. The place is pretty nice, medium size venue. The tables are close to each other but nothing where u cant move around. They seat four people per table. The food was actually pretty good, I ordered the wings (very good) and the hubby ordered the meatball sliders (very good).The waiters are very good, helpful and polite. Nice please to go and close to north NJ (about 30 minutes only). We had fun and good laughs. We will definitely go back. read more

The tables are on top of each other. You are stuck sitting sideways unless you are lucky enough to get a booth. If you happen to have a party larger then 6 they have to sit alone at a separate table near you. The purchase mininmum of two items is fine. But, the fact that the staff gives you ur check in the middle of the show is classless. Then they tell you, " we need the check before the comedian goes off stage.". You have to interrupt the show to speak with your table about the check and getting money. Typical horrible palisades mall experience. read more

Very Rude, incompetent waiter just grabbed my drink without explaining to me why he grabbed my drink. Are you not gonna be shocked when you're sipping your drink, and as soon as you put it down on the table, the waiter grabbed it even if it's still not finished? Of course, you will be shocked, and maybe upset. I asked him why he just grabbed my drink without telling me anything, he told me I ordered the wrong drink. WTH? I told on him to the manager, and I explained to the manager, at least the waiter should just politely explained to me that I ordered the wrong drink and that he needed to take it away from me, or ask me what would be my option--to retain and hold on to the drink , or just pay the drink ,or order another one. This waiter did not utter a word at all and just grabbed my drink away from my hand. The manager was professional enough to listen to my complaint about the incident but he told me to stop yelling when I just had a reaction to what he said about the "lie" that was reported to him. I was served rudely, of course I was upset and had a reaction. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. The food is not good, and worse, the waiting staff are disrespectful, awfully rude, and unprofessional. read more

This is a great little gem tucked inside a mall. Its a large area, but still very intimate. You will want to get here atleast a hour early if you want up close seating, and to be forewarned you will 90% chance you will get seated with strangers if you dont come as a group of 4 or more people. However its never been awkward or strange, its actually been pleasant because we are all there to laugh and have a good time. It is always crowded from my experience, but I would definitely recommend coming early. The wait staff has forgotten our entire meal the first time we came here because we got there right before the show started. Second time we came 45 mins early to eat and get seated. We got sat dead center in the front row, hubby didnt want to be that close because the comedian we were seeing liked to crack jokes on guest so we asked to move back down 2 rows. Since we were there so early the place was almost completely empty so we didnt see a problem in asking to be moved. We asked the bouncer who seated us and he gave us a attitude, as if we should be happy we were right in front but he let us without trouble. The food is pretty good but overpriced. Always top notch comedians coming in, and you would never think this was in a mall.. and for 20-25 dollars a show?? you cant beat it! read more

Came here to see sebastian maniscalco and it was an awesome night. I ordered chicken quesadillas and my girlfriend ordered a grilled cheese and they were both great. The venue is very nice and very clean. The staff was great. They were pleasant and helpful. One great thing is that the waiters and waitresses stop serving a few minutes after the show starts so they're not walking around the whole time interrupting. All in all, this was a great experience and I will return and encourage you to check it out. read more

Went last night to see Gary Owen and as usual had a great time! The small intimate venue pretty much assures you a great seat no matter where you are! Although showing up an hour early is key to getting a good close seat, it's a first come first serve seating service so you will most likely find yourself waiting on line for a bit before being let inside to be seated. If your a couple chances are you will be seated with another couple because it's primarily four people to every table... Been 3 times in the past year and always have a great time... The price is right and they continuously have great comedians! They do require a two item minimum which I don't mind but the past two times I will say it took awhile to get my second drink... One time I received it literally as the comedian was done and lights came on... And last night it again took them a long time to get me my second drink and when I finally got it the glass was only 2/3 full when I had the same drink prior and it was full to the top... If I had gotten it sooner chances are I would have ordered three drinks instead of two... I did have a great night and this is a perfect date night spot but the costumer service could use some tweaking! read more

I had an Awful experience with a "Ryan " at Levity live, coming from out of town from a funeral service, when they upgraded my ticket to VIP status for a high price ... When I explained to the guy "Ryan" on the phone that I was coming from out of town from Funeral Services, he seemed empathetic and said it would be no problem and was so nice, but NOT ONCE did he say I must be there early, he just took my money and guaranteed my reservation and sent me a confirmation email that also said NOTHING about losing what I paid for if I was not early ... While i was on my way, about 20 minutes before the show started, the guy "Ryan" starts texting me asking where I am, and then he started calling my cell to tell me if I don't get there immediately that I lose my tickets and cannot get in. I reminded him of our conversation and the email he sent me, none of which mentioned this disclaimer, and he accepted no accountability for his mistake, he actually blamed me for not knowing what he did not tell me!! Needless to say, we arrived at 6:55 pm, so while i was trying to find a parking spot, my friend ran out of my car and dashed into the club, where she fell, twisted her ankle, got a gash in her knee .... And was still able to secure our seat, because we had a couple minutes before 7- i was disgusted but she was insistent that we just go to the show since it was a birthday gift for me. We received no apology for the way we were treated.... I will never go back to this venue .... "Ryan" ought to be ashamed of himself, not once did he take accountability for his mistake in not giving me this disclaimer either verbally or in the email, before I purchased these expensive VIP tickets,.. I have other words to say about him, that I just cannot reference on this app... Awful experience, I will never recommend this venue to anyone. read more

I have been to a few comedy clubs in the city and I always found them cramped and rude so when I first came here I was pleasantly surprised. It was big enough to not feel cramped and the staff was attentive. The food was not that great but that is not why I gave only 3 stars. The host was very funny and so was the rest of comedians, especially the headliner. What makes me give this place 3 stars is because of what happened when he was telling one of his jokes. I am not political but I know some people are and I think if you are a comedian and you are passionate about your political views you should not put it in the act. The comic said something about the president and someone in the audience said he sucks, no big deal. This guy then went off on a tangent about how if you don't like like the president that you are raciest and prejudiced and told the girl that the only reason she didn't vote for him was because of the color of his skin. This went on for about 10 mins and not only was he ranting and raving the club did not stick up for the girl or try to get him to on with his show, instead they escorted her and her table out of the club. As far as I know when it comes to bars and drinking the rules are clear no politics or religion and I just feel that this was totally unnecessary and that this girl deserves a apology. Other than that I would have given this place 4 stars and I felt after this I should give it 2, but the show was fun and besides that we did have a good time. read more

I went here Friday night for a date night. We saw Gary Owen. The opener was good and Gary was great. I've been to this venue once before and both times there have been great! Seats are always great and the prices are reasonable. There is a two item minimum but that's pretty standard of most comedy clubs. The venue is located inside the mall which is a little weird but also means there are always plenty of paeking options and plenty of places to eat and drink before or after. The first time i was there, I signed up for their email list, so each week i get an email about the upcoming acts. They also offer a lot of coupons and discount codes. We got our tickets for $5 each for Friday's show. The food and drinks are all good and the service is friendly. The first drink that my date ordered (one of their signature drinks) came out too sweet for him and our waiter happily took it back and changed it for a different drink. I def recommend checking this place out for a good comedian. They tend to get some good acts in for good prices. read more

I previously went to see BILL BELLAMY here and he was great . The good was ok , o had chicken wings and French fries. I went back last night thinking this was a good place to go . The greeter was rude to my sister for no reason upon her arrival . The food was terrible . I ordered a shrimp Caesar salad. They had brown wilted lettuce, on a rectangle ( appetizer plate!) . Yes , this is how it was served. Then they had SMALL frozen shrimp on top . Terrible . I sent it back . We went to a 7pm show . I ordered boneless wings instead , the lady said hey are all out of wings . How does a venue run out and there is a show right after ours ? The waitress was not attentive , she would walk past knowing we needed something and avoid us . The drinks are terrible . I ordered a vodka and pineapple I swear it tasted like pineapple juice. I sent it back and ordered another drink, again , barely tasted the liquor . 1shot in a drink that size is not enough . Eat before you go! If you go, don't expect much unless it's a great comedian . I saw tracey Morgan last night and I barely laughed . I feel robbed out of $160 . Don't order the pizza it's like the high school stuff they sold. Very disappointed . I wanted to go back to see Marlon Wayans , but not after this service . There is also no way to review or speak to anyone at this location in regards to this matter . We visited Levity Live on Saturday, July 29th! Wanted to give a great big shout out to Josh the manager!! After a misunderstanding with our Groupon tickets, he not only accommodated us but Josh sat us at a great table and checked back with us a few times during the show. Josh treated us with such kindness and respect! We are definitely going back for some more great comedy in a great venue with an amazing staff! read more

This was my first comedy show and it was a great first experience and it really opened the door for me and friends to watch more shows. We showed up an hr after doors opened and we were lucky enough to sit about 15-20 feet from the stage. It was a bit crowded. But that didn't really matter once we were seated and comfortable. The food was pretty good, not a fan of the prices, but it is what it is. We had the pulled pork nachos and since I checked into Yelp, I got that 50% off the appetizer. Nachos were okay, chips were kinda stale, but I was hungry so I didn't really mind. The pulled pork was delicious though. My table of four got the: Mango Iced Tea, Oh My Tai!, Ultimate Margarita and a Cosmopolitan. We exchanged some sips and we all agreed the Ultimate Margarita was the best one. I had the Mango Ice Tea and it was just okay. I've had better Mango Long Island Iced Teas before. The opening act was Wil Sylvince, and he was grreat. Started with some improv to get a feel for the crowd and I found him really funny. His Haitian antics warmed the hearts of many of the Caribbean listeners. The main act was Shawn Wayans and he was great too. My friends are die-hard White Chicks fans and they exploded when he incorporated some of his jokes into his material. I like how he used his life as his material to make some rather touchy current world topics enjoyable. Both comedians interacted with the crowd going off what the crowd was giving them. I believe I was seated next to a cop and he didn't particularly like some of the cop jokes, but I mean, it's a comedy show, you literally can't take anything seriously in there. Also I saw a family with a child, which I thought was ridiculous, a lot of the jokes were inappropriate for a child. I was surprised he was allowed in to be honest. Closing was Wil Sylvince again and he hit home some of the topics that Shawn touched on. And Wil stayed for some pictures afterwards. Overall great night. I'm happy to come again. read more

Never been here before - never knew it existed. Went to see Tom Pappa perform and he was just hysterical. We got there at 9:00 p.m. and there was a line but it wasn't super long. They let you know a couple of times (at the entrance, as they show you to your table, as the server greets you) that there is a two item minimum in case we happened to forget. We got a table on the upper level which was actually better because there was more room and we had a better view. Drink specials were plentiful - had the drink of the night which was very good. We ordered the chicken fingers to share and we each had a burger with fries and got gravy and cheese on the side. Chicken fingers were great - crunchy on the outside - juicy, moist chicken on the inside. Burger was very good - bun was just ok. Fries were nicely done - well done as I like them. Only thing was their bar just cannot accommodate the crowd and you have to wait for drinks. Also, it took a while for our waitress to come around and we sat there with food brought out by a food runner who had no utensils. Had to wait until our waitress came by to ask for utensils - good thing we were eating finger food. All in all would definitely go back, but probably wouldn't eat there except for appetizers or snack items. read more

My review has nothing to do with the food, drinks, or servers. My review is based solely on their customer service. Earlier in the week I was rushed to the hospital for a minor medical emergency. While waiting, my friend found a comedian that we wanted to see at Levity Live. I purchased tickets on my credit card through my phone while In a mildly medical induced haze. We arrived tonight with our tickets in hand. The attendant asked for my tickets and I gladly handed them to her to find out I accidentally purchased tickets for yesterday's show and advised that this show was sold out. The manager, ticket attendant, and one of the opening comedians (who happened to be outside the club socializing) all tried to help my friends and I get into the show tonight. Thankfully they were successful. They could've easily said, "sorry sold out." But they didn't. They made every attempt to accommodate me and my friends. The set up the place is great for comedy, its definitely nice. However, the management was poor. We waited over an hour just to get in. I see no point in waiting outside when there is a beautiful bar on the inside to wait at. They weren't done setting up until about 5 minutes before we walked in. The electronic ticket scanner wasn't working and it took them a while to figure out a new solution. Also, whatever you do DO NOT EAT THE FOOD. I never thought someone could mess up fries. They were gross and had this nasty cheese sauce on them. The mini burgers were like dog food on a bun. A pretzel was about the only thing edible on the menu. The waiters took a while and had to be reminded to refill drinks. Overall, nice venue. Probably wouldn't have enjoyed the night as much if I didn't have Colin Kane to make me laugh at the end of it all. read more
