Well Well Well Michael! I also live at West Pier and I love it here. First of all It is not West Pier's job to clean your garage for you. Do you expect them to clean your apartment too. It is your responsibility to keep the places you rent clean. I understand you applied and when they did not have an apartment for you, you told them to PULL your application and you were no longer interested in living there. After you went on our site and saw that we had one available for the 9th you said you wanted it. My how we twist things around. By that time they had already promised it to someone else. I know you think very highly of yourself but we do not. You have not been anything but demanding and critical of everyone and every thing and I I am saying this as a tenant.. And it was explained to you Stuart that your garage door is kept a few inches from the ground because if you don't it will freeze to the pavement and tear the door up. And I'm sure you would be the first to complain. After looking at all the complaints you have made in all the towns you have lived in, It would be expected. You have a pretty bad reputation of your own. When you walk down the halls, the people who live here duck for cover because of your bad behavior. You are rude to everyone. I myself have been the recipient of your good will. This Complex is extremely well taken care of. The men who work here, work very hard at keeping it that way. This is my daughter's first experience decorating her own apartment. We had fun shopping for furniture online and the deliveries started arriving. Day one-Package One-Loveseat. UPS was willing to deliver the loveseat down the hall directly to the apartment but management stepped in and discouraged it. Day two, she followed UPS into the apartment complex knowing they had more of her packages and by the time she arrived at the office, UPS had come and gone and can only assume management waived off UPS's assistance. She had to push the couch/table down the hall by herself. As a mother, 1300 miles away, knowing this is how my child is being treated, not with kindness and compassion, as stated on their website, but with this pettiness disappoints me. I wanted her in an apartment complex where there is a community type spirit that looks out for each other. In my opinion, knowing that people move in and out everyday and have packages shipped all the time, they would be prepared for these types of situations to assist not be a barrier to someone that just moved in. This taints her overall experience as a new GUEST. Any good apartment complex offers a dolly or moving cart to assist with oversized packages, especially with a remote complex such as this in the Soo. I am hoping this review will remind management that while it is a business and you need to fill those rooms, we all have to be helpful neighbors. Lets all help each other. read more

My husband and I have lived in West Pier for over 10 months now and love it. The office staff is very attentive to residents. The management goes out of its way to help the residents. I even witnessed a very caring staff member help a wheel-chair bound resident by going to her apartment and wheel her down to the common area so she could attend a bible study group being held there. The management recently provided free health presentations (Keto diet, smoking cessation, CPR, Tai Chi) as a January offering. The residents are willing to help others with their special skills. One resident will be providing free weekly Tai Chi Chih lessons for her neighbors starting in February. The maintenance crew is very timely with their work orders and typically any small issue I had (a noisy fan) was fixed within hours of me calling. I love the beautiful landscaping which I don't have to do as well as the timely snow removal and sidewalk clearing at all hours of the day/night so I don't have to. Our dog likes the two dog park areas which have benches for sitting or conversing with neighbors. If you are moving to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, first "Welcome to the Soo" and secondly, look no further than West Pier Place for your new home. read more

For one I'm so sorry as a paying tenant of west pier, to the last two who are inferior with this place but I believe it is more of an ignorance to write what they had about the staff personally. this place has been nothing but wonderful for my family and I. I think if there's a problem write about the problem but honestly don't talk about the staff with disrespect like that. Rhonda is so welcoming and wonderful to everyone here. I have two children and have lived in other apartments and they are no where accommodating as west pier place has been to us. As for the maintenance when we put in a work order, everything we have had a problem with has been fixed with complete competence and have never seen them rude or unhappy with there job let alone there willingness to do there job. A+ west pier I love this place and I am not afraid to say that the staff here are friendly, loving and that I consider them all part of my family. read more

I have been a tenet of West Pier Place for the last 2 years and I can tell you that the staff here has done nothing but be helpful and accommodating. Anytime I have placed a work order or needed something it has always been done in a timely matter and done correctly. The people at West Pier Place take pride in their jobs and it shows. As for moving to another apartment......Last year we decided that our studio was no longer big enough for us and needed to be placed into a 2 bedroom unit. Rhonda did all she could to get us what we needed in a timely matter. I know that no other community would do half of what West Pier does. read more
