Other customers behind me were apologizing for her treatment of me. There is no reason for anyone to treat another person that way. I asked her why she was being so rude and talking down to me when I was nothing but nice to her , she just continued with her attitude. I called the number for the owner and the same woman was put on the phone and said the owners never here. It's a shame that people have to take their own misery out on the public.

Going to the currency exchange for a vehicle…read moretitle correction, registration and plate transfer can be more convenient than going to the DMV considering it takes weeks to get an appointment and, yes, I expect a fee for their services, but it is OUTRAGEOUS that they charge 100% more than the standard fees for these services! I can understand a $5 or $10 convenience fee, but not DOUBLE what the state would charge at the DMV! This will be reported to the Illinois Attorney General's office.

I offered another State issued ID with the correct address. The clerk tried to tell me that a FOID card is not issued by a state entity. I argued that it is issued by the state police, and she told me that it is issued by "FOID" (). She told me she could accept a lease, Nicor bill or ComEd bill. I have ComEd, but the bill is in my maiden name. We don't have Nicor- we use oil heat. I own the house, but a mortgage statement wasn't good enough for her. The seller had put the date in the day/month/year format, which most countries outside of the US do. Even so, this was also unacceptable. I had another vehicle titled at an insurance agency in Dekalb with zero problems. I will be headed there again today. I'm sorry I wasted my time at the Currency Exchange.

However, upon leaving I remembered that I needed to get another money order. I went back & the woman said very rudely, "What do you want?". I told her that I needed to get another money order. The very nice black woman asked me to go to her to complete my transaction. Thankfully, Walmart offers the same service. Walmart is more expensive, but I am most definitely willing to pay more $ and never frequent the Currency Exchange again. It is located near Portillos, Taco Bell, Chicken N Run, Firestone, Sherwin Williams (if it is still there?) Again, super quick, on a Friday, late AM, early PM.
