Joe was very responsive when I put my request to replace 2 columns out in front of our home. He was…read morevery polite and attentive. He sent examples of the job to be performed and quoted a responsible price for the work. He required 50% deposit to begin the work. Everything was great until he completed the job. There was a trim board that was noticeably missing and no response to my text to Joe. Upon further review we noticed that one column was 2 1/2" higher than the other. It appears that one side had more cement mortar than other side, hence the 2 1/2" variance. Joe also left the board staining and brick sealing to me. He also said the cost would be a little higher since he had to put in some extra time to address the shift in the columns. We paid the extra amount and now must address the problem and unfinished work. So, my advice would be to probably choose another Handyman and insist on proper review of work before final payment. When I mentioned I would leave a comment on Yelp, Joe responded and said he would return to address the problem. He never showed up or called to reschedule. He never responded again. My advice would be to get someone else that WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND THEIR WORD.
