None of the above. Guess what Humana was billed for? ALL OF THE ABOVE! As previously stated, most patients appeared to be nursing home type/not mobile & to have no visitors. So, basically, they are dumped there and left with no care from Kindred. Humana is investigating & Carla @ Summerlin had assured us that if he requires future inpatient Rehab, it will NOT be @ Kindred. This is now beyond malpractice and is Insurance Fraud. Just happy that we are here to advocate for Dad and cannot emphasize enough what a shameful "healthcare" facility this is. To be continued...

This location is very nice. There is a small courtyard outside where patients are allowed to go…read morealong with their visitors. The facility is kept very clean. There is plenty of guest parking. The front desk and security staff are super friendly and upbeat. Eventually, they remembered my name and husband's room number, and asked about his progress and how I was doing, which was very nice. There is a huge physical therapy gym in the center of the building and they have plenty of equipment, training areas, and real-life application sections to use based on what limitations a patient may need to overcome and practice. During my husband's longest stay from early March through mid May, Patricia in Quality Assurance Management made sure that my husband's concerns were addressed and quickly resolved. She went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable, getting all aspects of his care covered, and quickly fixed any issues that came up during his stay. We are truly thankful and grateful that she cared so much and used her resources to make sure my husband received the best care possible. When something went wrong, she made sure she followed through with fixing those issues and genuinely cared about getting him healthy enough to be safely discharged home. She regularly checked in with the both of us and consistently asked for feedback about the care he was receiving. Even after discharge, she gave us a call to make sure his transition home went smoothly. We were extremely impressed by the dialysis nurses Leila and Jam. They spent a lot of time with him every week and worked through some of the issues with his hemodialysis lines, where other nurses at the previous facilities he stayed at, simply didn't care enough to make the effort to work through those same issues. They answered all of his questions and were both so friendly. Nathan was the friendliest and most personable nephrology nurse practitioner. Since being discharged, we truly miss Leila, Jam, and Nathan. They are all so sweet and care so much for their patients. Dr. Farzin and Dr. Kong were my husband's main primary rehab doctors. They were excellent. Their bedside manner were always very pleasant and they always took the time to make sure they addressed any needs. They were upbeat, friendly, and always encouraged growth and forward progress at each visit. Alex was primarily my husband's main physical therapist - he was amazing! He always showed up with a smile and he pushed my husband to maximize his time there and try new physical activities to get him moving again. He had a wonderful balance of tough love, genuine concern, and encouragement to make progress at every session. He understood the importance of making the most out of every session to try to overcome a lot of the physical limitations an extended hospital stay had caused. My husband went from needing three CNAs to assist with most daily living activities to needing minimal assistance and doing most things himself. Alex regularly encouraged family training and stressed the importance of learning how to allow my husband to try to do things himself before offering up help. We have been able to take what we learned home with us in every way. We also want to thank a few of the physical therapy assistants: DJ, Matt, Matique, and Pia. They each helped Alex in their own way and offered a variety of assistance with my husband's care during his PT sessions. Although occupational therapy was generally less intense than physical therapy, the OTs at Encompass were top notch! They encouraged my husband to try different ways of helping himself and how to bring out his strengths to get through every day activities. They often offered a listening ear when he needed emotional support and encouraged him to continue getting better and stronger. A few of the best OTs were Tricia, Brooke, Elvio, and Kelly. At Encompass, the nurses and CNAs are instructed to allow their patients to try doing things themselves before helping them out. It's something that really stands out from other facilities. It's not for everyone, and some patients would get annoyed by it, but I loved the fact that they wouldn't just do - they would teach how to do instead. Most of the nurses and CNAs were able to give great insight on how to do something differently with some physical limitations. There were several nurses and CNAs that made my husband's stay more comfortable and took the time to teach him how to regain his independence in every possible way. The nurses that stood out were the following: Cielo, Ryan, Bobbie, Ivan, Dawn, Marlou, and Heather. The CNAs that were the most helpful and friendly were the following: Dee, Norbert, Gaby, Jill, Tracy, Francis, Sharmaine, and Tina. We just want to extend a big "thank you" to everyone at Encompass for getting my husband to safely return home after a very long journey of recovery. We are so appreciative of the excellent care he received while at Encompass.

The staff was kind, caring, and extremely helpful. I was provided with a great amount of education on trauma and how it impacts substance use, the parts of the brain that are impacted by trauma and substance use, anger, depression, emotion regulation, mindfulness, and how to communicate assertively. What really makes this place great is that there are no more than 10 clients, and it is more personalized with more one-on-one counseling and in-depth process groups. Lastly, the food is amazing. Both chefs put a lot of love and effort in preparing healthy meals and snacks. This has been the most effective treatment program that I have been through, and I highly recommend it to others. I am going on 6 months of sobriety as write this review.

Causing me and my family members to stress the he'll out of us. Like if we are not yet worried that our mother is 7 hours away from us. I would think their communication would also be in their top priority but all I get from them is no answers, no calls back, miss communication and false information. I see alot of different reviews on here about staff members, mgmt therapist etc.. I want to say if you get lucky when you call and if they pick up if they are front desk staff their customer service voice is professional but once you get transferred to the nurses they are just something else. I have spoken to several of them including J.P who is the director of charge nurse. It was reported to J.P how I was told 1 thing but in reality it wasn't never done which he apologized and said will speak to staff. Today Tuesday my mother went to Dialysis and me and my sister called the nursing home to find out how our mom was after Dialysis and was told by a nurse MaryAnn or Marlynn ancient was hard to understand her name saying our mother wasn't back we questioned her why if it was already late afternoon and her responding was Ohh she might have been admitted to the Hospital. Like again why would you assume something that is very concerning and worrying knowing family members are far away from the patient. I immediately called the Dialysis center and they confirmed my mother was actually good and did well during her session however session ended late and transportation from nursing home arrived 20 minutes later for her. 1 hour later my mom video calls the family and is crying and begging she wants us to take her out of there. I immediately called nursing home and no one was answering, after few tries someone answered I request to speak to my mother's nurse and was told she wasn't available untill maybe 30 minutes because she was passing out medications which I understand but I asked to speak to someone who can help check on my mom because of what was going on. She decides to put me on hold and then hang up the call. I called back and did not answer at all. I was 20 seconds away from calling in a welfare check to the police station but called 1 last time and finally they answer and tells me the same thing about nurse being away and unavailable at this point I was already furious angry upset terrified worried and told her that if she didn't get someone on the line I was going to send an officer over and make a report. I had to go through all this pressure making me feel the need to take a plane late evening just to check up on my mom and yell at this place. Im definitely calling tomorrow morning to start the process to get my mother out of this place. This is the reason I was refusing in the first place for my mother to be transfered so far away from us. Especially with the previous experience my mother has had with another NSF for also being neglected and having an accident. All im asking is for my mother to be taken care of, provide accurate information help her with her needs, help her get better so she can come home. But it seems like every nursing home has their pros and cons unfortunately. You can't trust this places at all.
