Of course items will be marked up relative to what you think they're worth - they have to make money somehow? Also, to be expected to be greeted at the door like some royalty, quite the privileged shopper you are! Anyways, about the shop - it is like a treasure cove of everything you can think of. From antiques to sports to toys to things you can't even think of, they have it all. My wife and I come from the medical field and we were blown away by some of the antique medical equipment and novelties they had. Meanwhile I always collect baseball and trading cards and was pleasantly surprised to hear about their weekly inventory of new sports cards. We were in the store for nearly 2 hours, and wish we could have stayed for the entire afternoon. When we return to Boise one day, we will be stopping by again. We were grateful for the wonderful staff and friendly women at the front register. This is a 5/5 business if I've ever seen one. Ignore the previous reviews, this is a MUST-See shop.

I actually had lunch at a restaurant in the same building a few weeks back. I didn't have time to check it out but I was in Nampa today so I made my way in. Walked into the store and wasn't greeted. I guess talking about not having enough money to pay for your taxes was more important than greeting or acknowledging me. But every other person that came in after me was greeted. I found it to be amusing and annoying at the same time. I did read in a previous review that they were racist here. I don't care if you don't like me cause of my race, just be kind cause I'm a customer in your store. I made my way through the store checking out all the different vendors. As much as I wanted to buy so many stunning pieces, the price point that these folks have given these collectables is out of this world. I can't believe some of the prices on teacups, dolls, vases and pictures. I can see why these rooms are crammed with stuff, no one is buying them. Even with a 20% off sign, it's still not tempting enough to buy anything. I did check out the clearance stuff and it was still ridiculously priced. I don't know why it's called a clearance section when it was all still expensive. I did find a very pretty teapot that wasn't overly priced. I wanted to snag a couple other things but I just couldn't persuade myself enough to spend that kind of money on a teacup or a pink depression glass wine glass. So, I bought my teapot and was content with my purchase. This store and the vendors are really neat. But, the prices here are just obscene and out of this world. It was fun spending part of my afternoon here checking things out but I think I'll stay in my neck of the woods for my vintage goods.

I was conveniently in the area today all by myself so I made it a point to check out this charming store! As soon as I parked my car, I knew I was going to fall in love with this store. Everything set up on the front porch was completely stunning. Everything was strategically placed and thoughtfully decorated. It was hard not to buy all the outside pieces cause of how beautiful everything was staged. I need to front of my house to look like this front porch. This store is just stunning. Country chic decor is the way to my heart. The flowers. Aged furniture. The flowers. The small details and delicate placement of everything. It was all breathtaking. You truly have to walk slow throughout the store so you don't miss anything. I found a couple brass candleholders that caught my eye. They were so pretty but a tad bigger than I would have liked. The sweet associate guided me back to an area in the back that I had already checked out. Of course I didn't walk slow enough cause I missed the most perfect set of brass candleholders. I also found the daintiest glass candleholder that was a glass bird. I found some smaller candles that would be the perfect addition to the candleholders. I was excited to add these beautiful pieces to my home. Besides the candles, I also found a gorgeous print that I'm going to place on my living room wall that I'm redecorating. It's been fun curating all these beautiful pieces and it was great that I found one here. I look forward to finding the perfect frame for this picture. The gals that were working today were all kind! Stores like Sweet Tea Living could be a hit or miss with customer service. I have been ignored at some local joints in town. It's sad to be treated like that when you're trying to support a local business. Sweet Tea Living is complete perfection from their customer service, the venue and all their fabulous goodies. I felt so welcomed here. I'm so happy I finally got to make my way in! I look forward to coming back soon to find more beautiful treasures here.

Pricing in general is what makes me give it 3 stars because I feel like pricing alone would detour bargain hunters from shopping here. I think it's more for a certain clientele that cares a little less on out of pocket spending whereas I love antiques and unique items found on a budget friendly steal of a deal. I personally don't feel the need to go back based on cost alone but I do recommend going to check it out because they really are talented with their picker eye and stylings and have great ideas to build upon.

Checked their hours of operation. They are open today so I made my way in! Parking is in the back and there's a few spots so that's nice! I made my way in and was blown away. This store, the set up, the vibe... it's all stunning. I adore the chandeliers that were lit right up front but the windows. I am a sucker for pretty, old chandeliers. I'm now looking forward to looking at all the beautiful pieces they have through out the venue. Each room is different. There's a different theme for all of them. I made my way into the first room on the left. It's dark, romantic and eerie at the same time. There's a medical room with old medical bottles, a skull and books,,. My favorite part of the store was the kitchen area. Pretty plates, tea cups and old school metal tea pots hung. There were a set of pink depression cake plates that caught my eye, gorgeous! I wanted them but I currently don't have space for them. I'm heading back next week and if they are still there, I'm grabbing them! I did purchase an old picture frame that I'm going to decorate my wall with. The gal that helped me was so sweet! We conversed about an old dresser I'm looking for. I hope that I find what I'm looking for here. There are so many beautiful pieces that would look perfect in any home. 1208 Antiques is the definition of the perfect antique store in the valley. It's reasonably priced, they aren't nickle and diming you. The set up is fantastic. The pieces here aren't old, grundgy or beat up looking. These are pieces that have been taken care of, have beauty and mystery to them. There are so many treasures here. I look forward to coming back and seeing what they have new in! Especially that dresser I'm looking for!

I didn't find the specific item and just never thought about checking it out again. I'm happy I came in today! As soon as I walked in I was in love. Everything is perfectly and delicately set up. Each plate, each frame, each linen that was set up was thought out and strategically placed. I made sure I looked at everything, I didn't want to miss a thing. It was hard not to touch everything to be able to look at the delicate details of the item. The gold lining on a plate, the carving of a frame or a picture that's in the antique frame. It's all stunning. The gal that helped me today was sweet. I felt so welcome. I did my thing, walked around and checked everything out. I grabbed a few things. The cutest white hanging basket, a floral pitcher, an ornate plate and a floral saucer. I appreciate that I didn't feel like I was being price gauged cause it was an antique. I paid for my treasures and was happy! It's amazing how many people overcharge for this cause they add the word antique to it. This store front is so pretty! It's set up is beautiful. The gal running the store was pleasant and kind. The pieces here are all beautiful and unique. I can't wait to come back soon and find more gorgeous treasures.

Boise Flea Market had their last one a few weeks back and I decided to stop to look for more accessories and whatnot for my tribute to Stevie Nicks for my Halloween ensemble lol. So I went in here. Who doesn't love antique stores? They're fun to go through no matter how gay one is or how straight one is lol. I don't care what any straight guy says, they may talk shit if the wife or gf wants to go, but they'll go 'out of love' lol and end up looking around vs the pouting and talking shit they were doing leading up to going in lol. Antique stores always have something that appeals to everyone. This place was super cute. Super small with super prices. Like insane prices haha! I grew up in a small town and we had antique stores everywhere. Those stores tho weren't overpriced like the stores you'd find in any city. I'm still glad I went in tho. I'd definitely go back too. The employees were shooting the shit with each other and didn't say hello to anyone who came in their store lol. Kinda weird for an antique store and one who charges what they do. That sorta thing doesn't bother me all the time. On my first visit there, I guess I'd expect a hello or whatever, but did I lose sleep that night as a result? Umm..no.
