A nice little stop while exploring Lost River Cave Park…read moreAfter taking the boat tour through Lost River Cave, we decided to continue walking along the trail through the valley and stopped at the Butterfly Habitat. It is located along the trail that runs at about the same level as the cave entrance and meanders through a very pretty part of the park. The trail is covered with loose pebbles and gravel, so I would keep that in mind if you have mobility issues or difficulty walking on uneven surfaces. The Butterfly Habitat itself is an unmanned location with a sign out front and a small foyer area that you enter before going through another door into the screened butterfly enclosure. It is not particularly large or fancy, but I don't think it needs to be. Inside, there are plants and flowers that provide a habitat for the butterflies, and we were able to see several different butterflies as we walked around. It was enjoyable just taking our time looking for them among the plants and watching them fly around the enclosure. The screened structure allows you to get fairly close to the butterflies without disturbing them and makes for a nice addition to the other things you can see while exploring the park. Overall, I thought the Butterfly Habitat was a very nice little stop after our cave tour. I probably wouldn't visit Lost River Cave just for the Butterfly Habitat, but if you are already there for the cave tour and are walking the trails, I would definitely recommend taking the short walk over and spending a few minutes inside. A great stop right next to the highway, plenty of room for your dog to run and get some exercise. There is a nice shade structure in both parts with a few benches underneath them. There are two poop bag dispensers in each Park with two trash cans underneath them and then there are an additional eight trash cans in case you couldn't find the first ones? There is one agility item in both dog parks although I'm not sure they're scaled accordingly. There is no water so you must bring your own but you can park right next to the gate which is always nice. It also has a nice big double gated entry.

Great course layout with a really good price point. It's always a fun round of golf here. The course does have some trouble holding water on a few holes on the back 9, but when you're able to play all 18 holes it's always a great time. The 18th hole can also be a little tricky trying to find your ball with the driving range nearby. Overall, the staff are great and the layout makes for a really enjoyable round. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone, especially newer golfers.

There is beautiful scenery and wildlife. Also, Kenny Perry himself sometimes shows up and plays. We had the privilege of practicing next to him at the range and then we were behind him for our round. All around amazing course, definitely recommend.

This is your basic dog park next to your human park. It's very nice tho that there's 2 fenced in…read moreareas. One for small dogs and one for large dogs. There's waste bags. Not everyone uses them unfortunately. They keep the entire park mowed and it's been kept up well. The dog fountains are super awesome to have. We brought his own water dish just because we've dealt with kennel cough a few months back and are worried he will catch it again. Our boy was very distracted by the people mowing so he wound up laying under a tree. The shade is very helpful for a day like today. There's 2 benches to sit on in the small dog area and 3 for the large dog area. There's a play area for kids and there's a walking trail that's paved that goes around the entire park. The signs to the dog park are pretty non existent tho. You'll find it, just not right away. It's in the back corner of the park. The sign that says Meadowbark points to the right and makes you think the pasture gated behind the park is where you are supposed to go lol, but it's to the left and past the bridge and past the walking trail. I don't know why that sign is there. The sign by the road is small as well. We passed it and had to turn around the first time here. This main park is Meadowbrook Park. We would come back again if we're ever this way again. Overall 8/10.
