On a Thursday afternoon, the parking lot was empty. The park had two portable toilets open to the public, a playground, trails and lots of green space.

The tasteful patriotic memorials are lovely reminders of those who have served and continue to serve our country. Even on a weekday evening, there were plenty of children, people playing disc golf, strolling alone or with their dogs. A safe and lovely outdoor venue!

I saw several groups playing disc golf and there appear to be 18 basket targets. The tee off signs include memorials for various wars as well. A pavilion with fourteen picnic tables that seat eight each can accommodate at least a hundred people. There are four small grills as well. The children's playground has both baby and regular swings, slides, and plenty of areas to climb and burn off energy. A butterfly garden displays lots of butterfly-friendly plants and some small water features. There are several chairs to sit and enjoy the butterflies. Overall, it's a beautiful, quiet park with plenty of space to either play or relax and reflect.

Ravenwood Park is a hidden gem in the Nashville area. It has one of the tallest slides you will…read moreever see! Kids climb, climb, climb high into the sky via rope to head down it. If this doesn't tire your kids out I don't know what will! Besides that they have a sand pit, basketball court, tennis wall, and smaller slides for the kiddos. There are also plenty of trails to explore. Overall a 4.5 park!
