He spent a good hour with me asking me what was going on with the previous Hiatal Hernia and why I couldn't eat with nausea. He made sure nothing else was going wrong with me. The office staff and nurses are really nice and friendly they will also talk to you about why your visiting the doctor today at your appointment and so on. So far so good with my first time visit there to see Dr. Heiman he's a very informative guy he knows a lot about Gastroenterology and he knows my Primary care doctor and GI surgeon when i had my Gallbladder removed. He goes to Tampa General & St.Joesph Hospital and for Endoscopy and other procedures he goes to Florida Medical Clinic in Wesley Chapel.

I had gone…read moreto him a few times regarding finding a diagnosis for what I had been experiencing for MONTHS. At first he seemed helpful but once the tests started coming back negative (and it wasn't an easy diagnosis for him), he became unbearable to work with. During my last visit, I'm sitting in my chair, extremely underweight from all of the stomach symptoms I'd been experiencing since Jan. - when we (my mother and I) started asking questions about the plan of action/ sharing my past medical history, etc, Heiman became extremely irritable (not sure why as this is his JOB) and hovered over my mother and I, being extremely rude and dismissive. He was basically scolding us the whole time for being worried. At the end, he literally tried to have me go and do two tests I had done TWO DAYS PRIOR- he HAD the results. He was either blind when he reviewed my charts or didn't look at all. Considering his attitude in this, I'd expect the latter. When we realized what he had done (again we were extremely uncomfortable with him once he started yelling at us so we weren't thinking clearly), we told the nurse checking us out. When she told Heiman about how he ordered the same tests I had completed two days prior (keep in mind that Heiman was just around the corner in his office so we could hear everything), Heiman rudely kept saying out loud "did she actually do it? Call the labs to confirm" etc. He made me feel so dumb and belittled- it's not like I had done these tests weeks prior and maybe wasn't remembering right - literally completed them two days prior to seeing him. I left in tears because of his behavior and lack of bedside manner. The only good thing about that office are the nurses/lovely ladies who work at the front desk. We were extremely lucky that one nurse noticed his treatment (apologized for it since he sure wasn't going to) toward us and made it her mission to keep pushing him to look at my charts, order the right tears, etc. Finally we were approved for a CT scan (after asking several times to proceed with the next step instead of waiting to get unbearably sick again. Did he not realize I was having this happen for half of a year? I couldn't keep waiting for the next episode to occur. I was skin and bones and falling apart.) I'm happy to say that after going to different doctors/specialists (that actually know how to do their jobs), we found the problem and I had surgery yesterday. Guess it wasn't all in my head after all, Heiman? Best of luck with your superb bedside manner. A disclaimer to anyone reading this and wondering if they should see Heiman- I almost never leave reviews. I wrote this all out because I'd hate for someone else to go through what I did. If Heiman was competent, I could have had answers months ago and not gotten to the point where I felt like I had no quality in life because of the constant "sickness" I was going through. I see he has some higher rated stars. Sure I'm sure some of those are legitimate but I can guess that these were easy cases for Heiman. I liked him at first too, until he became very clearly annoyed with my case and essentially refused to push forward in strategic way. His "help" was to just keep waiting. I hope this may help someone with making the right decisions when going to see a specialist- someone who is supposed to be there to HELP you. I'm lucky that I found amazing Drs recently- ones that listened to my concerns and ordered different test right away. Everyone with whom I interacted at this office was professional and personable. My appointment was at 3, & Selena checked me in. I thought I completed all my paperwork before, but I still needed to fill out five sheets of INFORMATION. By the time I was done, Kelly came to get me. Kelly took my vitals, and went over my history with me. I saw the APRN next, Mara Lee, and she was exceptional. She scheduled my procedure for the Fall. Dr. Nanda came in, and asked me if I had any questions or concerns. He was pleasant and full of information that I needed to hear. Kelly returned with my paperwork, and I was out the door before 4 PM. Everyone was caring and helpful. This was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to seeing Dr. Nanda again.

The staff is disorganized, the communication is terrible, and they seem completely out of touch with how to run a competent medical office. They require in-person visits for every minor issue, just to bill you, but then fail to follow through on treatment plans, lab orders, or basic next steps. Every visit feels like a money grab -- you're forced to come back repeatedly because they don't get it right the first time, and still nothing gets resolved. Whether it's intentional or just sheer incompetence, the result is the same: wasted time, wasted money, and no real care. I've never felt more unheard or dismissed by a healthcare provider. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. This place is a mess.

Scheduled me with Dr. Cronen who specializes in the spine. Their office is located on the second floor in Suite C. Masks required right now. The waiting room is large and is setup for social distancing. Arrived and went to the front for check in. They handed me paperwork and a tablet for checking in. Went and took my seat, within like 10 minutes of waiting I was called back!! Amazing. Based on the number of people in the waiting area I thought I would be waiting longer. So impressed off the start! Nurse was very friendly and when it was time for X-rays the tech was also very friendly. I walk really slow right now and they slowed their pace without hesitation. Dr. Cronen came in and reviewed the X-rays and treatment with me. Very friendly and knowledgeable doctor! Not only talked about medical treatment but also talked about personal things as a means to get to know me as a patient. More worried about his ego than doing his job correctly, Greg noted my dad had an issue with his pacemaker on his chart. My dad does not have a pacemaker. When I told him he had the wires from a previous heart surgery replaced, he insisted my dad had open heart surgery and not a replacement. Excuse me?! I was with the man on Monday for the surgery. Then he placed an IV line that was faulty and far more painful than it should have been. When the techs at CT pointed out they needed a new line, his ego again took the lead and he had to "prove" he did it correctly which the ENT who was in charge of transporting him pointed out blew the vein. Apparently it took getting a new nurse at shift change to get a correct chart to be made and the transport to actually happen. Once she came, everything moved swiftly and with accurate information. Care for my sister was equally good. Great communication and nurse Paul was excellent. Greg needs to check his ego at the door and put the focus on his patients.
