I've been to a few dumps in the New York metropolitan area and this is the smallest dump I've seen. It's especially tight getting in, and you need to make sure there's no line for the scale and you are t cutting an existing line. The employees will tell you where to go from there. Other than that it's very orderly and straight forward. It's actually cleaner than every dump I've been to and doesn't have the foul dump odor. The employees are courteous. My first complaint is it's relatively expensive. I've dumped for much cheaper on Long Island, but of course I'd much rather come here than take garbage all the way to Long Island. Perhaps real estate or regulations make higher prices a necessity. My second complaint is that they don't give good notification of their business hours. I spoke to them on Wednesday morning to ask about payments they accept and they didn't tell me they were going to close early that day. Their website doesn't even have their store hours posted that I can see. So I brought garbage all the way to new Rochelle from the Bronx only to be turned away. Looks like you need to call this place EVERY time you want to go there to make sure they're open, lest you get a nasty surprise. At any rate, if you have to dump garbage on Bronx or Westchester counties, Queen City is the place to go.

They didn't even pack my jewelry properly, which is how it was lost. When I brought this to the owner's attention, he became argumentative and disrespectful instead of taking accountability. His only solution was to "come fix things," rather than refunding me for the damage and loss his company caused. When I returned to my old house after the move, I found that they left behind numerous items, including pots and pans, my robot vacuum, and all of my cleaning products under the sink. My adjustable bed no longer works because of how carelessly they handled it. I paid this company thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars to have them do a terrible job, leave things behind, and break and lose my personal belongings. For the amount I paid, I expected professionalism, care, and responsibility -- and received none of that. I was referred to this company by a personal friend of the owners, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I dreaded moving because every move I've made in the last 40 years was traumatic. This time it was…read moreremarkably stress free. EZ Haul's owner handled the estimate which was competive with another well-known local mover but we gave the job to them because of the personal connection & sincerity of the owner. Two days before the move (as scheduled) two of his crew arrived to disassemble some large furniture pieces which they did quickly & efficiently. On moving day the driver texted us 10 minutes before arrival shortly after 8am. Driver & crew were all bright, friendly & competent as they surveyed the job before them. They loaded efficiently and carefully. After 4 1/2 hours of loading, the crew left for the 120 mile trip to the new house. I calculated a miracle arrival would be 4:30; they arrived at 4:40. 2 1/2 hours later they were done unloading. Elapsed time for the day including travel was 11 hours. When I noticed a few boxes (out of many) were in wrong rooms, two of the four crew literally jumped up to move them & (needlessly) apologized. The four crew members worked seamlessly and pleasantly together. I heard no cross words or disrespect between any of them all day. This is clearly a team that works together regularly--not some ad hoc crew thrown together the morning of the job. I recommend EZ Haul 100% and without any hesitation and will be using them again.
