Showed up at 9AM. Nobody showed up for over an hour. Us, and their actual employees sat out front and waited... finally the owner showed up. We bought some front speakers... Then they lied and said our back speakers were blown, so we bought some back speakers. Found out the speakers weren't blown and were fine. Refused to give a refund. Sad part is, they lost not only what would be a great customer, but they lost a lot of referrals. Additionally, I was going to use them for my new wheels and a darker tint. Anyway, they're crooked to say the least. This incident probably saved me further problems and frustration. read more

I have a 2016 Mercedes E400, that did not have apple car play, took my car to West coast and was amazed at the quality of service and work that was performed to install the car play. I called here at west coast audio an I got a quote how much they charge the best tint. I wanted the three back ones they were going to cost me 260$ cuz they going to take of the back wing off my car so I told them if I take it off my self they weren't going to charge me for that labor fee and it was 60$ to take it off. so I did that my self, I come to the shop a couple a weeks later he says that he's still going to charge me 260! These people charged me $89.99 for a product that costs $24.99 online . Then I called for a refund and they said they don't do money back refunds and could only offer store credit . Why would I want store credit from a store that has a 350 percent mark up on most of there products . Even if I purchased this product online and spent an extra 25 dollars for next day shipping I'm saving money . Then to top it off I bought connectors and asked the man if these would fit around the terminal and he said yes , I got home and tried to fit them and they didn't fit . I didn't have to wait long, I was helped quickly. Although it was a little alarming that I purchased my sound stream system, and had it installed at this location. The day it was installed, I was told they would warranty their work and product. I believed them, the first time my fuse blew. They repaired it no questions asked, no charges made. I did not pay a cent. No one asked for, or gave me a total. No one even walked to a register. The second time my fuse blew, I returned expecting the same service. Unfortunately the gentleman informed me he needed to charge me $85 for additional problems, I didn't actually needed repaired. Replacing the fuse would fix everything. He dropped it to $50, then to $35. I threw $36 on the table to get my music back on. The work is good, the quality is ok, the front desk service sucked today. It was great before and I won't be back for lack of trust and faith. I'll upgrade elsewhere. read more

My husband took our car to get the windows tinted. We just purchased an older model drop top BMW IN TOP PRISTINE CONDITION, and he just couldn't wait to get it tinted SOOOOOO off to this place we go. The tint process of course did not take long... however my husband called and asked was the car ready. They said no it needs to dry.... ok... I take my husband up there and drop him off for the car. About 30 minutes later my husband calls me and says that they are having and issue with getting our back window up. Ok so 4 hours go by and it's after their closing time, but our car is still not fixed. They have no idea how to fix our back window which again I will add worked PERFECTLY FINE before we took it here. Unable to fix it they gice my husband back his keys and says ohh... it must be a sensor or something. My husband who is already pissed that he was waiting there for 4 hours waiting for them to fix their mistake just takes his keys and leaves. In the way home he tries the windows and notices that all the windows are now rolling funny and none of them are going up and down correctly. There is now a shaking to the windows that again was not an issue. WE HAVEN'T EVEN HAD THIS CAR FOR A WEEK!!!!!!!! So the next day (today) we head up to this place at 9am sharp so we can have them fix it. Well... unprofessional as ever of course they do not get there to open the shop until about 930 . We drop the car off and tell a different guy the issue at hand, and he said he would call once the installers came in, so they could fix it. WELL NO SOONER THAN WE GET HOME a guy calls and says... "Yea we are not fixing it". Those were this exact words.... He tells my husband that "this happens all the time, and this isn't the first time that a drop top has come in and left with issues." "Those types of cars are finicky". CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT MESS??? Seriously?? If you have had issues with this happening to cars then why not provide a disclaimer? Then the guy says " oh yea take it to the BMW dealership and if they say it was the tint that caused the issue then we will fix it". In a very smart tone.... So let me get this right... we bring our car in perfect condition in to get some window tint, and we pick the car up and the back window doesn't roll down, and now the other windows shake when they are rolled down? Instead of having good customer service and fixing the issue... you tell us that you are not fixing it and to take it to a dealer where not only would we have to pay to have them look at it, but pay to have them fix it. We spent $300 with this shop and now have to pay the dealership to get our windows reprogrammed or whatever issue they FKD up. I am appalled at this company and they way they put their mistake on us. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. The tint came out decent... but to have to come out of pocket to fix their mess up is beyond trifling. They don't care about how they treat your car, or what they mess up. read more

They did a wonderful job on my car! They did have some issues with the tint Falling off the back of my car due to the fabric on my roof falling off before hand. But even then they made me an appointment and got everything fixed at no extra charge! Then they installed my purchase. They told me something was wrong with my amp. I then investigated and found that they intentionally turned the gain all the way down on my amp so that it would appear my amp was faulty. I initially called in to get a quote to add Bluetooth to my radio, after talking with Ruth over the phone I instantly felt comfortable. I went into the shop and was shocked by the selection of speakers out on the floor. I asked the gentlemen at the counter some questions about different speakers and prices and he was extremely helpful. He pointed me in the direction of the speakers that I needed, told me how much it would be for my radio/Bluetooth and the speakers. For the price I couldn't say no! I had to leave my car overnight because they already had cars in the cue for the day, but I came back around 3 the next day and my baby was all finished! IM SO JUICED AT MY NEW SYSTEM, AND IT SOUNDS SO GOOOOD! Loving the Bluetooth capabilities. I now have a complete understanding of why people are speaker snobs lol. Thank you West Coast! read more

On 8/11/19 I went to west coast car audio paid 225 dollars for a front of car battery terminal replacement, secondary battery mount, battery and amp installation, as well as my sub box to be widened. All went well at first. I picked my car up and it's slappin. About 4 hours later my amp which cost me 200 that I just spent the day before, is Fried my car is filled with smoked and my fuses are blown and by this time west coast car audio was closed to so I took it to a car audio proffesional who works at a shop and he told me to check all my connections and I discovered my remote wire was pinched into my power wire terminal on my amp which is why my amp never cut off and I discovered my ground terminal on my secondary battery was loose. I spent my last with you guys and this was my first car audio system installation and I am truly hurt. Upon my arrival the second day to inform the shop of their error I begain explaining my situation without any anger or animosity yet rays co worker who is an African American gentleman tells me with the first words out of his mouth that "that's impossible". Right away I felt my heart drop because now I felt like the people I just gave my money to are now turning against me as if I'm being deceitful. All I was offered was an 80 dollar check that they still have to approve. This offer came from the cashier Marcos who seemed very caring but only could do so much as the company allowed him. Ray, the person who installed my car seemed to not take ownership on the mistakes that were made, telling me a loose ground on my battery doesn't matter as long as my car ground is secure, Ray told me that my amp staying on all day and night is not an issue because their amps in the store never turn off. Instead of holding himself accountable for being a human and making a mistake he instead made me feel like I spent my money with scam artist which I know isn't the case but you can't help feeling like that when your dooped out of your money from people you trust. I'm still out of an amp, I have pictures and videos of the proof. I still can't understand why West Coast Car Audio on Charter Way haven't properly taken care of me since I've been coming to them for a year for anything I can afford from them. My amp was working fine before they installed it. I hope you guys can resolve this matter appropriately before I am pushed to find other methods of getting my money back from you guys. I was advised to contact civil litigation but I've never been that type of guy. I believe things can be resolved with proper communication but that's all up to you guys. I also paid 130 dollars the same day for a big 3 install. I was told it would only take an hour and a half. I returned 3 hours later to only be informed that they hadn't even touch my car and I sit for another 20-30 minutes in store to only find out that they could not do the job because the location of my alternator in my audi was too difficult to reach. I asked for the wires to do a big three. They succefully upsaled me and persuaded me to allow them to doit the big three to only waste over 3 hours of my time. The cashier Marcos asked the installer if it was possible he negligently said yes without even attempting to make sure he was correct which embarrassed the cashier because that made him look bad even though I know it wasn't his fault. It was Rays fault. So after being told they can't do the job I once again asked if I could by the wire to do it myself and I was charged 50 bucks out of the 130 dollars for seven feet of 0 gauge wire and a couple of rings and they told me I have to wait 1-2 weeks for a refunded check for the rest of the cost of the big three they charged me for but could not do. Why do I have to wait so long to to get my money back? I really feel bamboozled and scammed and at this point I'm going to try to contact higher up officials. Please fix this issue. Marcos is a cool dude. Zack is too. But Ray and his assistant really rubbed me the wrong way when he told me my install was clean was solid and that it was probably a bad amp when I literally have proof it wasn't. Upon leaving the shop I cried and then got in my car and yelled. I want to go off in the shop so bad but I'm on probation and I'm a father so I didn't want to do anything stupid that would land me in jail so I threw a tantrum in my car, with no music, and no money. First, I paid roughly 25% more for the same components at Best Buy. So, make sure you know your pricing. Secondly, they switched my 6.5" for 4" speakers during the installation and neglected to inform, ask, or give me any options. Luckily, I spoke with the tech. I asked the sales guy and he said "sorry". Then, I asked about the price difference, he said the 4" 2-way speakers were the same price as the 6.5" 3-way speakers. Terrible place! Don't buy. I walked in holding the add from the pennysaver for a pioneer aux and usb port stereo. I spoke to the manager "LEO" and he was saying it was an error and it was going to be around $350 with installation. Then i asked about the $99 car alarm he had advertised right in front of the window. It said $99 installed out the door! And he tells me that no thats not available a $300 alarm is available. I have seen and fixed some of this places work on my friends cars. He does some half way hacked work, no crimps or heat shrinks. Just twisted wires with cheap electrical tape. Beware of this place!! Avoid it! Buy from walmart and a friend who knows what they are doing install it. Much cheaper and better work than this clown!! read more

My bf bought a 12" type S subwoofer and a 12" box from this location. He installed it and within 7 minutes the speaker was blown. He was told this speaker was supposed to be compatible with the JL Audio amp he already owned. When he took it back and told them what happened the guy in the store said he would leave our number with the owner and get back to us. That was earlier this week.We didnt hear from them so we went back today to see what could be done. The guy at the counter told us we could probably exchange it and went to get the owner. But the owner said no he wouldnt exchange it or return our money because my boyfriend didnt install it right and that the settings on the amp were wrong. This is not the first time my boyfriend has installed stereo equipment. The settings were just fine. But they refused to do anything except sell him another speaker at their cost which wouldve been around $65. My question is this, if it only costs them $65 for a speaker, why not provide good customer service and exchange it free of cost since that speaker shouldnt have blown in the first place? $65 is not going to break them, and they would now have a repeat customer by taking care of them. My bf paid a total of $120 for the speaker and box and another $55 for the amp wiring kit. all this money went down the drain, total waste! This place is a joke! When i googled the address to see their hours, it was then that we saw that the BBB has received over 100 complaints with west coast car audio. They might not all stem from this particular location, but it says alot about this business in general. Stay away from them! read more

I came here to install and buy new speakers and an amp. They showed all the different types of amps and speakers they had and helped me decide which I ones i wanted in my car. They gave me a excellent price on the speakers and amp and to install it. The prices were better than all the other car audio shop i checked. So i decided to drop off my car the next morning for the install. When i came back that evening, my car was all done and ready to go. They showed me the car and I was amazed. I guess if you don't know anything about car accessories for y our audio you can let them rip u off. I mean the old man assisting me seemed friendly but he didnt know much. Then he got one of his assistance whom was really rude and could not provide me with an answer, maybe that's his reasoning for his voice getting louder and louder as he spoke to me unprofessionally. No need to put in detail but as i ask him a question standing there professionally while my dad walked around there tiny store with one brand, the little temper guy turned his back and walked away from me as i try to get a quote from him.
