I am a victim and this bank calls me a perpetrator. I'm very dissatisfied I wouldn't recommend this bank to anyone. I have tried for 3 whole weeks. Through PayPal, through the company that the fraudulent purchases made with my card were made. My cellphone was hacked, it was a phishing scam. I am out 500 bucks, a job, and I'm homeless. You'll be left out in the cold too if you use this bank. Try literally anything else, it's not a small town bank, it's the same as all the rest, they help phishing criminals steal money from disabled people.

Called on a Saturday afternoon and the bank was closed. Called the number on the back of the card and the only help available was a lost and stolen number that could do absolutely nothing because there was no fraud and we hadn't lost a card. We had other sources of funds so not that big of a deal. Now this weekend my son is traveling for school and is running into the same issue with the card not working after assurance from people at the bank confirming that everything will be just fine and work. Guess what, it's on a Saturday after noon and the bank does not have anyone available until MONDAY again and my son does not have the other fund options we have so he is stuck. Not currently happy with my small local bank and not being able to solve problems when they happen outside of their inconvenient hours.

If you want the emotional story that really won my heart and made me so loyal to Bank Mutual -- here it is: We maintain accounts in Menomonie and because of teaching responsibilities at a University in New Haven, CT-- we also have accounts at a very large east coast based bank with a large national reputation. Here is the story that really won me over. I was the most impressed when we had a problem with an elderly confused person to whom we had written checks and made regular payments (through the bank automated bill pay system.) We contacted the bank and asked for assistance in getting copies of cancelled checks and information on when the bank's bill pay system had sent the check payments. It was a time of stress for us, since I wasn't sure I could locate our bank statements from 2011 when the elderly gent suddenly in late 2014 -- suddenly decided he hadn't been paid three years earlier. I explained I needed cancelled checks and bank bill pay information, and share with them why I needed it. I figured it would be week, ten phone calls and large bank charges for the documents and research. Within two business days, I had all the cancelled checks, by bill pay records and everything I needed -- their only question was --would you like that electronically delivered or a paper version mailed to you? I was so impressed. I had never before felt like my bank was on my side, they were valiant and lightening fast in pulling cancelled checks, bill pay information to prove all the payments were made and on time.
