I have bounced all over the city, taking my dogs to a number of Vets and then remained at the Vet at Queen and Chinguacousy for many many years until a few years ago. A family member had referred me to McQueen Animal Hospital and I have to say that I am constantly blown away at the amount of care, attention and compassion I get, from the moment I enter the clinic, visit with the Vet and then pay and leave. I would have easily paid for the same services at McQueen Animal Hospital as all of the expensive Vets in the city because of the special care my pets get at McQueen; however I am floored at how much more affordable they are over ALL other Vet clinics that I've taken my dogs to over the past 30 years. They have been extremely accommodating and the staff and Vets are all genuinely interested in seeing the best health and quality of life for my pets. They treat both my pet and me with the utmost respect and priority and once I'm done and have to pay the Vet bill, I don't feel like I've broken the bank. If you want top quality service, with an extremely friendly and caring staff and pet bills that don't put you in the poor house, then you need to check them out. I have been to many vets and a few emergency clinics in my 40+ years of pet ownership and I could repeat your comments regarding a few of them (and a most chiropractors). The difference is that i moved on and found service that suited my needs. I have known the principal vet at this clinic for almost 20 years, and have seen her grow from working for other clinics to a Professor at U of G, I can ensure you that she has your pets needs first and if you had talked to her directly you likely would have resolved the issue. We came in 10 minutes early and found out from the lone receptionist Christine that the doctor was running late stuck in traffic coming from Etobicoke. The roads are usually very light on traffic on Saturday mornings, so we found this a bit odd. Regardless, we accepted what was relayed to us by Christine. Christine sounded like she was in a rush for some reason, despite there being only one other customer waiting. My mother has to work today in Toronto at 10:00 am, so she was worried if she would be late to work depending on how far away the doctor was. My mother asked Christine (receptionist) if she could call the doctor and see how far away he was. Christine refused to accommodate this simple request that would have taken her literally one minute of her time, and just repeated that the doctor just called her. My mother again informed the Christine that she had to get to Toronto by 10:00 am and feared she would be late. Christine in an uncaring and sarcastic attitude told her "well if you want your dog to see the doctor, you'll just have to wait". Gee, Christine, that is the whole point of us coming 10 minutes early for our dog to see the doctor, isn't it? When someone comes to the vet, isn't it clear they want their pet to see the doctor? At this point we didn't say anything to stir up an argument with a single customer waiting. What kind of response is this? We found Christine to have exhibited extremely poor customer service. Not one time did she say sorry, not one time was she accommodating or even trying to accommodate a simple request that would have taken her one minute of her time, and not one time did Christine ask us whether or not we wanted to reschedule our appointment. Even as we decided to leave because of Christine's poor attitude, she didn't try to rectify the issue. Christine was not able to handle her job as a receptionist; she was already stressed out with two waiting customers. We will take our business elsewhere. Such a simple preventable attitude cost your employer easy money. Christine please go back and take some more customer service courses, you clearly need it.

Dr. Gudrun Thomas was amazing she flushed out his ears and made sure there wasn't anything left!! She sympathized with me on how angry I was with the clinic that was supposed to do a full check up on him before he came to live with me (I have already posted a review on them). The receptionist staff really went above and beyond. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I came from downtown Toronto to avoid the outrageously priced spay procedures for my female pug. Upon knowing that I took an Uber to get there, staff offered to do my pups procedure first so I wasn't waiting around all day. Which I didn't mind at all but it was so nice of them to offer. They were able do multiple things for me while she was under, clip nails, clean ears, and they took out a couple of her puppy teeth that were stuck in her mouth. Very convenient. Also I had a hard time finding the incision area. It was so well stitched up I could barely see it. I have a friend that had their female pup spayed not to long ago, at another place and her stitches looked pretty messed up. Very impressive handiwork considering the price is more than half of what it costs downtown. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the GTA looking for a very fair priced spay/neuter.
