Recently we obtained insurance for our son when he got a car. As a result of the winter storm his car was damaged and required repair. I was stunned to find out the policy that covered his vehicle did not include rental car insurance! I have never had a policy that did not include this coverage. Further more, I know it is the responsibility of the agent to review the provisions of the insurance policy at the time it is purchased. This never happened. As it turns out for an extra $7 a month we would have been covered. We have been without a rental car for 3 weeks and I anticipate it will take at least another 2 weeks for the work to be finished. We have never had a claim! This is totally unacceptable. I will be finding a new agent when this claim is settled. I do not recommend her agency.
