The bunkers need some work but other than that the greens are undulating and fast, the fairways are full and the rough is thick.

We come here with our nephews (and I played here while I'm learning). I didn't feel stressed or rushed. My husband (who is good at golf) also can enjoy doing this with us. We had to park across the street since the main lot was full but it was no problem. Prices were fair (and we did a promo for driving range + 3 hole course). You can also get a bag cart to roll your bag on the three hole course if it's heavy (and they have golf carts for the regular holes). Definitely would recommend checking this place out!

It is out by the airport, so planes were flying low over head regularly on their approach to land - very noisy! Then there is a train track that runs thru the course, so had several trains go by blowing their horn. And the course is very close to an interstate, so the constant noise of trucks and autos was ever present. We waited on the people in front of us all day - never saw a course marshal to deal with the slow play all day. We won't be playing here again...

However, the GPS on our cart said we were eight minutes ahead and by the end of our 18th hole we were 27 minutes ahead according to their carts and we were counseled by the Ranger and the people behind us were hitting into us. Why would you put seven threesomes behind a foursome horrible course management the people behind the counter were rude and the Ranger was extremely rude. That is not what I payed $188.00 for. A group of old guys hitting into us, just a horrible experience. By the way. We finished out 18 holes in 3:40 minutes in my 30+ years of playing golf that's not slow. The corse was pretty and well maintained but their customer service sucked.

The course was built in 2021 and designed by the legend Jack Nicklaus and a group of patriots discussed their mission of American Dunes. The mission is to raise awareness and funds for families of the fallen and disabled. Since the opening, golfers from around the United States has golfed and heaped raise d millions of dollars to families. Which allows the families impacted to send their children to college, help pay medical bills, etc. As for the course, it was enjoyable to play although somewhat difficult. The tee boxes has a range of distances for low to high handicap golfers. The course Is beautifully kept and has a ton of dunes. Not so much water hazard's. When you pull up, drop your bag's and you will walk through the walls of honor. The staff is friendly. The driving range is included with your round. The rates were $165 and $100 for junior. If you are in the military or first responder I think you get a better rate. Each hole has 2 plaques, 1 dedicated to a fallen hero and a story about Jack Nicklaus. It was my best experience in golf ever and I've played in many golf courses. I highly recommend golfing here, you will never experience this anywhere. I'll be back for sure!

Honestly, this was by far the worst golf course I have ever played in 30 years of golfing. Every…read moreaspect of the golf course was in horrible condition. Obviously, there is no irrigation for ANY part of the course. The green's are like playing on a tile floor with holes punched in it. What would (normally) be a straight putt, could break in literally any direction. 50% of every green's surface is dead grass. No sand trap rakes. The tee boxes and fairways were in horrible condition (more brown than green). Half of the holes don't have cart paths. Their fix for covid, essentially makes the hole about .5" deep. There are no maps of the holes on the cards. Half of the holes have no signage indicating yardage or a map of the hole. The holes have 1 tiny 3" cement marker that's hidden under the dirt. The cart cleaning kid's response was to "how do we get to the 10th hole?" was "I don't know you would have to ask inside"... This course AT MOST should be charging $8 a person so you should spend your $56 (for 2 people and a cart) on literally anything else. This is not passable for a golf course under and conditions.

A few major positives: You can play any combination of the 4 nines (Red, White, Blue, Gold), all of which offer a variety of shots. The blues are short & technical, the Red are longer field shots with the other two a mixture. Not only can you drink during the round, the majority of people are drinking. The negative: You can drink during the round, which means you could potentially get stuck behind a group, or bunch of groups more interested in drinking than discing. Brewer park is a great place to wear out your arm, with a good combined score of ~10 down on 36 holes.

I have taled to people who liked the 4 9s better but i cant comment on that myself. South Course is my favorite and seems most well thought out. More open space and longer holes with lots of elevation to play with and still has one full "in the woods" hole and a few others do have trees or bushes to shoot around. North Course is a lot more wooded. mor confusing layout as it kinda crosses over itself a few times. i got lost the first 2 times i played north. North on its own would be a 3 Star but i like South so much that it gets a 4 overall.
