Beautiful layout with challenging greens. The course was in fantastic shape for early April. Had a great time on a blustery 40 degree Easter Sunday. The staff was super friendly and helped us out since it was our first time. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer! read more

Very nice course. Very challenging. It plays to 7000 yards from the tips. There are 5 sets of tee's for all age and handicap levels. The course was in very good condition which is saying a lot due to the drought conditions this summer. Decent rates. Will play again and again. read more

Terrible layout. Had 4 free golf rounds that we won on a scramble last year to the beeches. The free rounds did not include a cart. For 4 people they charged us $120.00 for the carts. Tell me how that makes sense. Lady at the pro shop knew it was wrong and didn't refund us any money, just comped are beers with an attitude on her. Doesn't even compare to hawkshead or the ravines. read more

I reviewed Beeches in the past and made an error giving them a four. Terrific course with great people and pricing.

The course was in good shape, but management needs a lot of work. We stopped by one evening to hit bucket of balls. We had 13 people (an extended family outing) and they were really happy to have us all -it was pretty dead on the range. We saw the twilight rate and decided to come back with the same family group. That's when the problems began. Twilight is from 3 to sunset. We originally had the 3:00, 3:06 and 3:12 tee times (or similar, not sure of exact times, just that we were the first 3). It was a Wednesday evening. We then got a call back that they had to move our times back to 3:42ish as the first time. Not a huge problem - something about us being in the middle of a league. We had a few novice golfers , didn't want to slow up a league. We were also not sure if everyone would do 18 holes, but we found out when we got there is we did want to golf 18, we would have to do the back 9 twice (surprise!). Something about a league again. Still willing to carry on - the straw that broke the camels back happened after our 3 foursomes finished. We chatted for a few minutes, decided only 1 foursome would continue and got everyone who was done a ride home. It is now 6:34. We go to tell them we wanted to do another 9 (no one else was on the 10th tee or waiting) and they tell us we can't take a power cart out after 6:30. Surprise again! No explanation, but no exceptions. Sunset isn't until 9:09. I didn't see that rule anywhere, nor did they tell us about it. If we had paid 4 minutes earlier, I guess we would have been all set. We tried so hard to give them $80, but they didn't want it. Moral of the story - buyer beware. If you choose to venture out to Beeches, ask lots of questions. There are plenty of other options nearby, they won't be seeing us again. read more

I play in the mornings each year when vacationing in South Haven. It is a links style course, wide fairways and has some length. 6700 yards on the blue tees. It's a change from my home course built in 1923. Family friendly on weekday for when my kids play off the reds. Some skill is recommended. Greens are well maintained, run true, and generous in size. I look forward to playing each year. Staff is very friendly. read more

Not real happy with the management. Decided to meet friends in Michigan and decided this was halfway in between. Call for a teatime and they gave us one little after one in the afternoon. We played nine, stopped at the turn got a drink, and continue playing. When we get to the 13th hole, the Ranger said we had to be off the course a little before five because league was-playing a shotgun start. We did not have time to finish the back nine. When we get into the pro shop. We said something there is no way we could've finished 18 holes in Little over 3 1/2 hours, The manager said they were sorry butThey had overbooked. Actually that was not our problem. We felt it was their problem and they gave us the 1:10 teatime. Drove 2 1/2 hours. And they were sorry that they overbooked?! They could have told us when we checked in, they could've told us at the turn, they could've compensated a little bit. A lot ofthe same was not groomed. Very disappointing. read more
