I went to the location for the first time and there was a vehicle ahead of me that was blocking incoming traffic. The vehicle refused to choose a lane so I did. The person went up to my car and started yelling at me and using racial slurs. I was so scared for my safety that I took out my phone. The guy went up to an employee and started cursing, laughing and talking about me. The employee did not diffuse the situation or tell the guy to stop. Clearly, the established does not care about customer safety and I will not be returning there anytime soon. read more

I have used this car wash for a number of years and it has never cost me more than $6. using coins in their pay machine. I had noticed recently that they had credit card pay so decided to use that, cost me $11.25. Two days ago, having had that experience previously, this time decided to keep track of the time I was in the bay which was a few seconds less than 10 minutes. I noticed just now I am being charged $19.25 for that wash. Western Pride advertises that you can wash your car inside and out for less than a touchless wash. What false advertising that is. I will never return to this highly expensive DIY carwash and will never recommend them to anyone else. Why bother when I can get an automatic wash for 8.75. read more

I go here all the time. I love the convenience of the credit card swipe. The management is new it seems and the conditions are good. Lineups are common in peak times. But go out of hours to avoid them. It seems better value to me than a year or two ago. Since washing on your driveway is illegal in Calgary then this is the way to go. read more

I have a habit of getting my vehicle extremely muddy, and in need of some deep cleaning. Fortunately, Western Pride has never steered me wrong. They are opened 24 hours a day, which is a huge convenience for me. There's just something therapeutic about washing your car at 1am, which is the only time I ever go. BINGO! I'd planned on going to another certain car wash when, that exact day, a deal came up for this one. It's literally 2 blocks away from me. I've been burned by a car wash deal before so I called them up to ask when I'd be able to get in for a wash. They tried booking me in for that very day, but couldn't get a detailer in on time. So, we booked for the following Saturday, which I was fine with. I showed up and, despite the fact they were having issues because the city water main had broke, they honoured my detailing appointment. 1.5 hours later (I just walked home and back) I picked up a sparkling vehicle!! Way better than *that other* detailer would have done for more money. However, I might have issues paying the full price for the same thing (YES, I'm super cheap) so I'm glad I got the deal. They also have a bunch (5 to 7?) of self-wash bays as well, for those who aren't as lazy as I am. And a little store inside the building where I picked up an evergreen-smelling little tree deodorant. I agree Jason G's review. When just the hustlers and losers and cabbies and cops prowl the streets is when I like to wash my car. In the blackness of the late of night or very early morning, some of drive bays are always empty. Then I can take my time washing my car. There's something therapeutic about manually cleaning my car. Knowing that my car was once covered in dirt and grime, I always enjoy driving out of a drive bay with a clean vehicle. I like the car wash's credit card option. It's fast and easy to use. And, because I go during the off-hours, I don't have to worry about getting change. Overall, the car wash is relatively clean and organized. The machinery is reasonably well maintained. I'll never come back here, it's overly expensive anyways but the OWNER coming over and snapping at me for giving my steering wheel and shifter a quick wipe was ridiculous. The grumpy old dude won't see anyone's repeat business the way he bullies you out of a bay for pausing a second too long. It is a business and it is important to get people through in a timely fashion, it's also important to not sh*t on them in the process of paying you for your services. I skipped vacuuming because he pushed me into the bay so he lost money from me, took my usual 5 minutes to rinse the dirt off and no one came in behind me despite him saying how busy it was. So he lost money from his imaginary customer and permanently from me, if you value your sanity and money you'll skip this place too. Guess I shouldn't be surprised to see so many complaints by other people about the terrible owner. read more

Many time there machines eat my coins and don't return the money . even one time on creidet card, they charge me but there is no water comes from their pipe. no one is there to complaint after 11. so they are cheated on us. $300+ later, truck still dirty. Gold detail with wax/polish. It was extremely disappointing when my Mother wanted to do something nice for me on my birthday, took my truck to get detailed, and it came back really half assed. I personally detail my truck twice a year, so I know what it takes, what the result is (3 hours). Wash, poor, dirt actually fell off the car after they finished Vacuum, good job Shampoo, I don't think they did, car was musty Wax/polish, good job. Interior, wiped down and armor-all'ed, good job Doing it myself for $100/hr from now on. read more

I used the automatic wash at the top wash experience. Staff member used the pressure washer to remove bugs on front of car (they guarantee no bugs) and gave the entire car a spray as well. When all was said and done and I got back home (about 2 minutes away) there was still a layer of dirt covering the entire vehicle including the back windshield which looked like it hadn't been washed at all.
