We had a flood in our basement due to a massive rain and hail storm. We called them the day of the storm, and they were at our house the next morning. His team was professional and helpful in getting fans and dehumidifers going in our home and within a few days our soaked basement was dry as a bone. They did demo work for us pulling out drywall and baseboards, and left the home as clean as possible when they were done. Effrem even went above and beyond with a small issue we had. I would recommend them to anyone that has a flood in their home. I hope I don't need to call them again, but if I do have another flood, I would call Effrem again for sure. He was very fair and ethical in our interactions, and even suggested calling a third party if we wanted to do any further testing as they would have a conflict of interest. 10/10 recommend.

The air quality in the lower level of our home is much improved and the crawlspace is clean enough to use for storage now. I had a very disappointing experience with Restoration 1. From the beginning, there were serious…read morecommunication problems, no accountability, and little to no follow-up on my project. My kitchen suffered water damage which lead to asbestos, and my family was without a functioning kitchen for three months. After repeatedly trying to get updates, I had to contact my insurance company for help and was ultimately assigned a new contractor to complete the work. During the project, Restoration 1's crew damaged the water line to my refrigerator, and despite reporting it, it was never repaired. I also objected to Restoration 1 receiving additional payment because of the poor quality of work and lack of service. To my knowledge, the insurance check was cashed without my endorsement, I discovered the check had been desposted without my signature which was required. Overall, this experience caused unnecessary stress for me and my family. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel others should know the lack of communication service, and poor customer service, and unresolved issues we experienced. Kathy K
