Now that we can get our propane filled, rather than exchanged, at Costco, I don't think we'll be making the journey out here anymore. They are still probably the only ones that will help you out if a junk gas station gives you a crappy tank that is too old to read or needs recertification.

Another positive is that they have the little switch you can flip down to keep pumping so you can get back in the car and attempt to not get frost bite on your bare hands while pumping gas for 5 minutes in -40 degree weather :-) God Bless Costco & Costco Gas. Only one thing would make me happier, okay - 2 things: If Costco Gas was 24 hours AND if they sold Propane at the Costco Gas stations for my BBQ :-) If you're listening up there in the ivory towers, that would be oh so handy Costco Gods!

My only qualm is that there are 3 pumps per each side, so you have to be good with parallel parking if the middle pump is free in your lane. The good thing about Costco is that it doesn't matter which side your fill tank is on because the pump hose can extend to the other side of your vehicle if needed. There's also no windshield wiping supplies at Costco gas pumps, I guess it keeps them efficient, but it's something I expect at any gas station. Otherwise it's an easy self serve with your Costco membership & MasterCard. Plus their gas prices seem to be one of the lowest in town! One suggestion I would make is that if you decide to fill up here, exit at the back of building to avoid the pedestrian traffic & the 2 way stop at the building's front entrance which takes forever to exit from.

We bought some propane tanks a few years ago from Apollo and had two more re-certified for another…read more10 years of use. When we went to refill them a couple years later the company we went to would not refill as they were not properly stamped. Apollo had put the re-certifiation mark on the tank rather than the collar. We called Apollo to work out how they would rectify the situation and they ignored us. I wrote the owners and finally got a response to bring the tanks in. That is not so easy as we live more than an hour and half away. We had already hauled them once when we could not get them refilled but we loaded them up again and went to Apollo. They put a sticker over the marks on the tank so anyone filling in the future could not see their mistake and re-stamped them on the collar. They treated us with disdain and rudeness the whole time, like we were bothering them. These tanks are not cheap and neither is recertification, they messed up, cost us two days, a bunch of gas and we dont think the new place will fill them as they are. If you are looking for safety and integrity in a business this is definitely not the place to go.

The water pressure was less than a house hose and couldn't remove the bugs from the front of the truck...which was why I went there, as the rest of the truck was clean. Also, the card tap/timer is sketchy and doesn't give you a timed amount so you guess your vehicle will cost $10 to wash and that's what it charges you. If you don't use the full amount, too bad...that is what you got charged and will stay on and until the magical time runs out. I left there, even after using the brush, to find bugs still on the windshield and front of the truck. Definitely won't go back and I was surprised, since Hughes generally has decent car washes. I think this one is the lemon.

I can wash my car for $4 and my minivan for $5 easy peasy with the high pressured soap gun and rinse... and that's good enough for me!
