The view from the pier is beautiful, although there isn't much to do on the pier besides eat at the restaurant or the bar. I haven't eaten at the restaurants on the pier but it always smells good. It's nice to post up under the pier too to avoid the sun and watch the occasional surfers. It gets really packed so for those looking for a quieter, less busy spot this isnt for you. We've been kicked out from the restaurant because that 200 pounds bored bodyguard decided that Pomeranian dog wanted to bite his foot , which is not true , he was stepping on her food so hardly not recommending this place never come back. A beautiful sunset evening here at the Cocoa Beach Pier with my daughter. Lovely shops and restaurants all around. There aren't too many people here this early evening just before the sun goes down. There's little sandbox type playgrounds for children to play in. The sand is soft and easy to walk on. There are available chairs and tables if you want to sit for a few minutes. The sign is very attractive and colorful. A historic landmark on Florida's Space Coast, the world-famous Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean and is home to restaurants, bars, gift shops and live musical entertainment. The Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier offers beach rentals, fresh water showers, regulation beach volleyball courts, lifeguards year round and access to some of the absolute best surfing on the East Coast! The pier itself is super nice and goes quite far out into the sea. Small Shops invite to buy souvenirs or little Knick Knacks a restaurant/bar lets you enjoy the breeze and sunshine while relaxing at a table. Plenty of restrooms - even for us ladies- is a big plus! Watch out if you arrive by 9:30. They close at 10pm but the bartenders will sell you all the foods and drinks they can eve after 10pm and then their manager will escort you out in a mean way just because its time to close despite the fact you are already walking away. read more

It's a pier... postive notes, first no fishing allowed! That helps keep it clean and not smelly. Well painted bright and clean. Parking is $15 that's not great but it is what it is. A few gift shops and an arcade on the pier. There is a restaurant to eat with great views. At the far end of pier there's a huge tiki bar! That's the main reason to go. I really enjoyed having several families restrooms to choose from because taking my special needs son into a regular stall with me is next to impossible. We ordered some sushi and a shrimp bowl which were both very good, especially the sushi! However the pina colada I ordered was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like pureed paper towels. I went to the Cocoa Beach Pier recently with a friend. I'm a native Floridian and I never had as much fun at the Cocoa Beach Pier as I did on my most recent visit. First my friend and I walked along the beach near the Cocoa Beach Pier. We got to see the beautiful waves and we even saw the ships out on the open water. Next we visited the restaurant and bar Pier 62 Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar on the Cocoa Beach Pier and we had some drinks and a fantastic time. We got to watch the waves on Cocoa Beach from the pier at the restaurant. Next we walked along the Cocoa Beach Pier and we made it out to the very end of the Pier to watch the water from above. Just a heads up, the Cocoa Beach Pier is free to explore but there may be a charge for parking, depending on the time of day, if you choose to park in the main parking lot. Another thing worth noting is that the Cocoa Beach Pier is open from 11:00am until 9:00pm Sunday through Thursday. They are open from 11:00am until 10:00pm Friday and Saturday. read more

It was a little but rainy afternoon so we decided to go down to the pier. We went to park and it was a Saturday and there was no parking attendant so we didn't know if we had to pay or not. We stopped a few people and finally found a nice local that said ut was free. So we parked. We started up the pier and maybe made it about 50 to 60 ft before the restaurant and there was a sign saying the end of the pier is closed for repairs and only dinners are aloud through that area and there was a security guard. Hopefully when you visit it is repaired and or fixed by that time. read more

Had a great time on the historic pier. No charge to go on the Pier or beach, but parking is currently $20. The restaurant that dominates most of the pier is divided into like 5 sections. The first has a covered bar overlooking the beach on one side and some small shops on other side. Then there's an indoor restaurant in the middle of the Pier with an outdoor path that snakes around it outside. Then there are a bunch of tables with umbrellas outside just past the indoor section. Then the Pier is open overlooking the water on both sides until the end which ends in a Tiki Bar that was closed for repair while we were there. The food and drinks were all excellent and our party of 4 thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. I personally recommend the fish tacos! Service was spot on, timely and friendly. It's a definite must hit if stopping or staying in the Cocoa Beach / Cape Canaveral area. It's in more of a residential area and located away from the hopping tourist area of downtown Cocoa Beach which we appreciated. read more

Located right on the Atlantic Ocean at Cocoa Beach Florida this is one of the most popular beaches in Florida. The pier is owned and operated by timeshare company Westgate. They will try to get you to stop to hear their pitch before you get to the beach. After that you can literally walk onto the beach. You will find very nice family restrooms to change in. There are places to rent umbrellas and chairs, there are sand volleyball courts and places to get food. There are lifeguards on duty to alert you to dangerous conditions in the ocean. You will find plenty of parking near the pier however for $20 you can pay to park ALL DAY till 9 pm at the pier. Just note if you leave the parking lot you will pay again read more

This was the only pier in the area, so I went with my boyfriend to check it out. I wish there was more to it, which is why I'm only giving it a 4 star review. There were a few stores to shop around for souvenirs, and the restaurant was decent. The oysters were lovely but the poke nachos were just okay, the chips were stale. They had a nice looking tiki bar at the end of the pier but it was closed. We also wanted to get the ice cream by the parking lot and it was closed also. I would not recommend at all. We stopped here to sight see while in the area and were treated very poorly. Firstly, parking is sky high. Even if you opt to park blocks away at metered parking, you can expect to pay at least 15 there. Onsite parking was $30 I believe (maybe more). We were stopped as soon as we started walking down the pier because we had water bottles. We explained I have an infant (which she clearly saw) and also my nephew who has a medical condition and needs to water readily available. They refused to let us enter the pier. We were out parking fees and left. My assumption is they wanted to force people into purchasing sky high beverages. One of the places I could see from where we were had $30+ slushies, and no, there was no alcohol in them. It's pretty sad they would turn a whole family away for a bottle of water. We were a party of 8. They would have made a lot off of us that day. Bad business and a clear disregard for their customers. read more

I feel so sorry for the staff. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The Cocoa Beach Pier may offer great views, but what's happening behind the scenes is appalling. I've witnessed the general manager verbally assaulting staff on more than one occasion--loud, public, and completely inappropriate. It's no wonder the employee turnover is through the roof. This isn't leadership; it's intimidation. Running a business--especially in the service industry--requires respect, empathy, and professionalism. What's happening here is the exact opposite. I genuinely wonder if the owners are aware of how toxic this environment has become under this manager's watch. The potential of this landmark is being squandered by someone clearly unfit to lead. There isn't much to do in Cocoa beach. It's a slow town which is part of its charm. The pier is a pleasant experience. (Thomas P wrote a great review on 6/12/23) detailing the layout of the pier, bathroom maintenance, pier expectations (No outside food or drink), amenities etc... Highlights for me. Metered/ Street parking is cheaper than pier parking and easy to use. If you want to stay longer; you use the app and add more coinage. The tiki bar at the end of pier is fun (when it's open) and I've always enjoyed the indoor and outdoor bar and restaurant areas. Food is basic and what you'd expect. There are some cool little, over priced shops. Lots of beach activities and rentals beside the pier for people who'd like to hang out on the beach during the day. My niece enjoys the ice cream and slushy stands in the front secton of the pier. :) read more

If I could rate zero stars I would. Was traveling with my son, who is 15 years old. He is a Type 1 diabetic and for those who are familiar know type 1s need instant access to sugar when they have low blood sugar. He carries a diabetes bag everywhere he goes. In this bag he has insulin, fruit snacks, full sugar sports drink, emergency nose spray and his back up insulin pods. My son went to the pier to use the rest room and buy a pair of sunglasses. He was told he could not bring the full sugar power aide (that was closed and sealed and only for low blood sugar). He explained he was a type 1 diabetic, showing him his attached medical devices, and that he needed it with him at all times because his blood sugar sometimes drops very fast while at the beach and he just wanted to use the bathroom and buy sunglasses. The guy went and got the manager who came back and said he could not bring any food or drinks on the pier. He attempted to explain it to him, however the guy turned him away rudely and said he didn't care. Well my son knows he is not allowed to go anywhere he doesn't have instant access to treat lows so he came back frustrated, embarrassed and without sun glasses or the ability to use the bathroom. I would expect more from this place, either they are violating people with medical disabilities rights or they are not training their staff well. We have NEVER had an issue from flying with juice boxes and power aides to getting on cruise ships with both but the pier refused. It was ridiculous. I hope someone reads this and the next type 1 who is trying to just use the bathroom and grab glasses isn't subjected to this frustration. We will not be returning and I will encourage all the MOD friends to not go either. read more

Didn't know what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised. The pier is split up into 2 parts. The front half has the general public restrooms and 3 food and beverage takeout stands. Bathrooms looked to be well maintained as well which is always a problem at the beach! Then you pass a security guard into the 2nd half. Note, no outside food or drinks allowed at all! The 2nd half, which is most of the pier, is essentially one giant bar/restaurant broken out into different sections. Every spot has the same menu. Typical shore bar food with burgers and fish sandwiches, fried shrimp, etc. All reasonably priced as well. I got a crab cake sandwich and my kid got a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were very good and they had these cool wavy fried potatoes. Plenty of covered patio, indoor AC area, outdoor, and tiki bar seating can be had. And they have a small shop to grab essentials. Additionally, next to the pier are beach chairs and umbrellas for rent. Honestly, their prices were pretty good. I have paid way more down in Clearwater so if you are spending the day at the beach, renting may be a good option. They also have 2 beach volleyball courts. People to hire for surfing lessons. And an outdoor shower area (but no foot wash). Lastly there is parking but their prices are very high. I used the street meters for half the price. read more

This area is super cute. The pier is nice and everything is so colorful! The street out front reminds me of the famous pavement in Brasil with the black and white waves. There are also volleyball courts just to the side, on the beach. When you walk up there is music playing, people playing volleyball, and a pier full of snacks and restaurants. The atmosphere is 10/10. I think I have never been to a beach with such a cool spot like this! We got margaritas and sat on the pier and sort of watched the sunset. It was actually behind us, so not the best spot to watch it, but the sky was still pink and purple and really pretty! It was warm even though we came in January, it felt like summer, but I bet from May-August it is packed! We will have to come back in the summer again! read more

So visiting cocoa beach pier was disappointing. We thought it was similar to the Hollywood boardwalk in SoFlo but we were wrong. It has only two restaurants abs one shop. The good thing was that the beach was right next to the pier so we were able to dig our toes in the sun. We did have lunch at Pelican's Bar and Grill which offers outdoor wearying while enjoying a nice view of the beach. Also, because it is owned by west gate resorts, you will have their employees try to get you to Attend their timeshare presentations offering gift cards and light breakfast, the good thing is that the gentleman that reached out to us was not too pushy and didn't cross our boundaries. read more
