Air Canada has been one of my favorite airlines for decades, but recent experience flying between…read morethe States and Canada, and to/from Europe, has been inconsistent. Telephone customer service had been very good. Flying to Europe from Montreal last month, the aircraft cabin was wide, on-board service was fine, but WiFi and entertainment selection was so so. The Air Canada app is good and helpful.

Yelp Review 2026 #56:…read more I've flown with Air Canada several times. But my latest Air Canada flight from Montréal to Las Vegas has by far been the worst. Booked a business class flight from Geneva, Switzerland to Las Vegas with a layover in YUL a few months ago. Woke to an email with a flight schedule change that did not make any sense. I'll be arriving in Montréal an hour later than my departure from Montréal to Vegas! I couldn't change the flights online and a phone call had to be made. I ended up with an overnight layover in Montréal which is fine. It gave me a chance to revisit the city. Checking in was a breeze through the priority lane with nobody standing in line at all. VIP security check and Mobile Global Entry got me to the business lounge in under 10 minutes. That was the best part about the flight. Everything after that went downhill. Boarding was late. Business class seats are wider with a 2-2 configuration, more legroom and more recline. We were notified the tray table was broken for my travel companion upon check in at the airport. Free Wi-Fi, good in-flight entertainment, breakfast, drinks including alcohol and snacks served for the 5-hour flight. I pre-ordered my meal online. The menu is different on the screen at the seat vs what's online. The food was ok. Flight attendant, Suzy is the worst and probably should not be assigned in business class with her attitude. Not friendly and quite rude. She was giving off "I've been doing this job for years. I hate everyone and I'm ready to retire" vibes. During meal service, she asked what I wanted to drink and I said peppermint tea. She notified me that she cannot serve me tea while the fasten seatbelt light is on - ok, no problem. I got orange juice instead. The fasten seat belt light has been off for a good 10 minutes so, I figured I'd revisit my peppermint tea. Suzy snaps at me "like I told you earlier, I cannot give you tea when the fasten seat belt light is on!" So, I pointed to the non-lit fasten seatbelt light. And she goes "oh. Well, it must've just gotten turned off." No apologies whatsoever. Just downright rude. Time to help economy passengers instead or retire! In some countries, flight attendants are screened based on looks, height and friendliness. Canadian and American airline companies don't do that which is fine but at least emphasize customer service.

Montreal to Zurich flying in Business was a delightful experience…read more Though my aircraft was not the newest model, but sufficient for a shorter flight to Europe. The cabin and seat placement allows a lot of privacy. The single window seat is perfect for single traveller like myself. Service was professional and attentive. I was even offered to try out a few of the wines during dinner. The movie selections was so good as I stayed up and binge watch the whole flight. We flew Swiss airlines to Barcelona over the holidays because they offered the cheapest fare ($580…read morepp round trip). Based on the experience I had, I would definately fly with them again. We had booked an extremely tight connection in Zurich each way (under an hour) and were worried that we'd have to go through customs there before continuing on, as we did on our way to Venice last year when we had a layover in Madrid. Nope, not here. The Zurich airport is one the most efficient I have seen. We simply took a tram from one terminal to the next, which took us about 15 minutes gate to gate. We arrived in plenty of time for our connection on the way over. On the way back, we still had enough time, but we were about 10 minutes late in landing at Zurich (due to high traffic) so then they held our plane to Chicago for 15 minutes to allow other delayed passengers to board. Combining that with a delay in landing at O'Hare (again due to traffic) we were about 20 minutes late in total. Still not that bad though. Service was excellent on all flights. On the way there we moved to an empty 4-person row so I could stretch out. They served plenty of food (and it was pretty tasty, with some swiss chocolates) and lots of drinks and provided free headphones for use with the free seatback entertainment systems that had a great selection of movies and tv shows. Based on the great service, ease of connection in Zurich (where I think pretty much all their flights from Chicago connect) and the low price, I would definately chose Swiss air again.

We recently flew with Air Transat from Montreal YUL to Punta Cana and back. I still like this…read moreairline the best - even though it seems every time we fly with them, there is less and less "perks" included in the "upgrades". Club Class was available on our flight going to Punta Cana - very much worth the extra costs to us, if only for the leg room and wider seats (I'm 5'3 and petite so granted, I'm not a reference for needing leg room. But my 5'11, 200lb boyfriend really enjoys the extra space!). Meal is served with real cutlery and usually pretty good. They were quite generous with the drinks which was a great start to our vacation! If you want to use AirPods to watch TV on their entertainment system, bring an adapter - if not, earphones are supplied for Club passengers (economy can purchase them. Or, bring the old school ones that plug in). I was thrilled that Club passengers were asked to board *before* families with children this time - not sure if it was a coincidence, but it's something that I had commented on in the past, and if Air Transat took note of my comments, it's greatly appreciated!! (I know it's a small thing but with only about 12-15 passengers in Club, there's no reason to board families first; they will still have plenty of time to settle, and it's just a small thing that makes flying Club more special and worth the extra cost). We had to fly Option Plus on return from Punta Cana because our aircraft was a smaller, older plane with only two rows of seats and no Club section. I removed a star because Option Plus is now $10 more expensive per person AND they removed all perks *in* the airplane - basically now Option Plus is only useful at the airport - special fast lane to check in and baggage drop-off, extra baggage allowance, seat selection... but no more included snacks and alcohol drinks (those can be purchased either in advance or during the flight - which we did... I don't care that the tiny bottle of wine is $10, I want my glass of wine for the flight!). All staff and flight attendants were amazing on both our flights. The aircrafts were clean. I really like this airline the best, and will keep choosing them whenever possible for our vacations!

I sent all medical documentation and even a death certificate. I called over 9 times and asked for a manager. No one would speak to us. Eventually, they sent a cold rejection email--no refund, no credit, nothing. Meanwhile, my relatives on the same trip--booked through three different airlines--received full refunds with no hassle. I even used Air Transat for my destination wedding, but after this, I'll never use them again. If you value customer service and empathy, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere.

I've been flying Delta for a few years since I started doing my yearly trek to Quebec to visit…read morefamily. I've always had great service, and although there were times when my flights were changed, there were always ways to work with them. My outgoing flight (to DTW first) on DL310 was long but the crew was outstanding and so accommodating (even when I disturbed them in the back of the plane to get some water). The flight itself was a bit bumpy at times but smooth overall. I thanked everyone, including both Pilot (Cameron) & Co-pilot (James), plus Flight Attendants Crystal and Kathleen. Going home from my most recent trip on 10/07, my connecting flight to HNL from MSP was cut down to one hour so I panicked because I had no idea how far the next flight was from where i deplaned from Montreal. I remember friends telling me that wheelchairs were available for folks who have problems walking long distances so I called Delta and asked that one be available at MSP. Checking in for the flight was quick and efficient and Junior (the attendant who checked me in and assisted me upon arrival in MSP) made sure I was taken care of, even changing my seat so I would have an aisle seat in the center. On that flight DL5427, Flight attendant Supree stopped at my seat and asked if I needed assistance to my wheelchair. What an amazing crew! Well, voilà!!! As soon as I deplaned in MSP my "chauffeur" awaited, and speedily navigated the airport to the driverless train, all the way to my gate. What a lovely man he was. He was from Kenya and enjoyed working with Delta for many years. I was grateful. PS Only one issue, but it's small. A few years ago I was able to buy a one year pass to use the Sky Lounge, which I found to be an oasis when I had long hours to wait for connecting flights. Now that privilege is no longer available unless you have a special Delta Reserved AMEX card at minimum. That costs big bucks and requires big purchases all year round. I have a Platinum Delta AMEX card and that doesn't qualify. I see young people going into the lounges, but I guess that means they have their parents' privileges. Just saying.

This was easily the worst experience I've ever had flying with any airline or flying at all. First…read moreof all, I had a flight from Montreal to Chicago. I was unable to check in online, I tried 5-6 times but each time it said to check-in in person. There were many troubles getting to the airport which I'm not factoring into this review but it led to me arriving about 1 hour before my flight. I walked up to check in with now 57 ish minutes until my flight. I was told that I could not go on the flight anymore because they close 1 hour before the flight for check in. So the next available flight was 26 HOURS away. I eventually got it to 22 hours away by flying to a different airport (Dallas, which added flight time) for the connection flight. The guy helping me was rude and did not care at all about the situation. There was at least 2 others and maybe more people who had the same problem as me. So I had to stay overnight at a hotel there. I understand if that is their policy but I think having a note on the app that is very visible and signs would be helpful to convey that. The next day I checked in and got through all of security within 15-20 minutes showing that I could have easily made it through in time the previous day. The actual airport is great but American Airlines here is not good at all. My flight leaving got delayed by about 50 minutes from its original time. During the boarding they announced that everyone would have to check bags and that it was mandatory. While in line to check my bag, some worker approached me and said to follow him and checked me and some others in without needing to check out bags. There ended up being room for checked bags on the flight so I don't know why they needed people to check their bags to their final destinations. The flight takeoff was very rough and many people noticed and were upset. The announcements were quiet and hard to understand. The plane de-boarding took way longer than usual even tho many people had connections to make. I'm sure the experience could have been worse and I'm grateful I'm on my way to my destination now. Overall this was an awful experience.

I was a bit conflicted at first as I've not heard necessairely the best about them especially service wise but been really surprised how professional and friendly the staff are . Defintely would fly again with them in the future. The only real lacking with the company is IFE but with a laptop or a cellphone you're more then perfectly fine.
