This is my new go-to for hardware. Like the one on the other side of Center, it serves as a good resource for my hardware needs. The stock is as ai expected, and includes seasonal items. The staff is courteous and very helpful. One can order larger volumes of resources and specialty items. One can order online and pick it up there. It's clean and well lit. Good for plants in spring and snow shovels in fall. All at reasonable and competitive prices. I go there often. Will definitely keep returning. read more

I went to Ace Hardware 14060 W Center Rd, Omaha, NE 68144 to have a key made and Ashley helped me and it was so busy but she was very professional and helped me. As people walked by her they asked where something was located and she told them what isle and also called for assistance for another associate when needed. She is very knowledgeable and caring. Went to get some knives sharpened. The staff were extremely helpful getting my knives sharpened. The cost is super cheap to get knives done and I would recommend it to anyone. It takes about 2 minutes per knife and they're so sharp when done. read more

This store has undergone a significant transformation over the past couple of years. It no longer looks like a basic hardware store. They've both upgraded the display of hardware, tools, etc. and added a number of product categories for the house (e.g., kitchen gadgets, home decor). I just stopped in for light bulbs, so didn't need assistance, but two associates checked as they saw me, so they are definitely attentive and ready to assist. They have several displays for gifts and holiday decor, so I may be back when I have time to think about gift ideas. Their coronavirus protocol is very good; all the staff were wearing masks and they have the check out lanes well spaced, so contrary to what someone wrote 5 months ago, there's no need to avoid Westlake Ace for that reason. read more

Incredible Service! Though we live in Loveland, CO, my mother-in-law lives in Omaha. She is recently widowed and was alone with a broken furnace and no availability for a repair on a Sunday. The temperature in the house was 58 and the lows for the night were to be in the 30s. We called around to find a space heater for one room, calling several large stores first. Though we found some availability, we couldn't find anyone who would deliver and even if we'd hired an Uber-type vehicle, there was no guarantee they would connect the driver with our purchased heater! We should have known to call Ace! They connected us with a manager, Brandy who directed us to the heaters in the store, and then she offered to find an employee to deliver. After we ordered online, Z made the delivery to our mom and not only did she deliver, she brought a plant for her! Talk about above and beyond! We are grateful, our mom was moved and so appreciative and Ace has another loyal customer! Thank you so much! read more

A solid 5 star rating in return for 5 star service. I came in a few days ago to get supplies for a refinishing project. i brought in the leaf from the table I was go to work on and the guy referred me to somebody who knew more about that subject than he did. We picked the stain an polyurethane that we agreed I should use and I went to start. upon the application of the 2nd coat (60% done) I realised that there was some remarkable product failure. Fast forward to today and I went in again to get new sandpaper and liquid poly as the last stuff was aerosol. In nearly no time at all I was done and the table looks great. I went back to the store to return unused product and see if they would refund on the aerosol, even though I used it. I showed the MOD the pictures and explained what happened and he did not hesitate to refund my money even though he had never seen that happen. he didn't have to, but he did I have only had bad service once in the past nearly 20 years of going to Westlake. First time here. Went in with a bedroom screen to get it re-screened. They are in busy season, so time will be about a week which is fine. ***update, we had to call twice ...it actually took 3 weeks and they didn't do the pet screening, ended up with the regular cheap screening material*** This dept needs better management. We were immediately greeted at front door in a friendly manner and pointed in the direction of the screens area. Guy in screens area promptly assisted us in a screen choice and we placed our order. Just a fyi: they have special screening which is pet-resistant if you need that. Then we shopped around and found a sturdy base for our patio umbrella which should hold up much better than our previous flimsy one from WallyWorld. I like this store, it's well organized and friendly! Go there! read more

Not sure what is going on with the service at this location. I walked in and found it hard to find someone to help me. Hate to say it but got quicker service at Home Depot. Also, I found the cashier to be not very friendly. Furthermore, I purchased some mulch and was told to go wait outside for some one to get me mulch. nothing happened. I then drove over to where mulch was kept and finally found someone to help me. what should have really taken maybe 10min became a 30min encounter. read more

Probably a dozen people working in the store. Maybe three customers. One person working register. Probably should have retired 10 years ago. Painful watching her try to help people at the register with questions that should have been handled in the individual departments. I asked if she should ask for another cashier. She just laughed. I call the manager to tell him about this story. He said that is very unusual in their store. Having shopped there many times, I can tell you he does not know what goes on in his own store.
