WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!!! WARNING!!!!!…read more For privacy reasons, we want do not want to be contacted. Our child went to this school. We withdrew our child when our child told us Ms. Peggy (teacher of the blue room) spanked our child and the other students in the class. She SPANKED our kid very hard. Our child told us she especially spanks the younger kids in class. My child told me there was a young boy that get punished (spanked) several times throughout the day because he doesn't listen well. Not only she put her hands on our child she told our child to keep it a secret because she would also punish the parents if the kid was to tell. Our child also mentioned the assistant arguing and yelling at Ms Peggy for spanking students. The school has cameras in each classroom. The school administrators have to know Ms.Peggy spanks kids. She is a horrible person. I am glad my child was able to tell me. It would kill me if my child never told me. If you love your kid DO NOT consider this school!!! The world is already a crazy place. School should be a safe zone and I hope no parents have to ever experience what we been through. We are putting this horrific event behind us. We just wanted parents to know about the school!! You been WARNED!!!! Don't take a chance or any risk when it comes to your kids!!!

I'm extremely disappointed by my experience with this school. After a direct conversation about my…read moreson's potential enrollment, I sent a thoughtful follow-up email and received no response. That lack of communication is unacceptable, especially from a school that claims Christian values. My son required only one accommodation: access to a teacher or counselor when he feels anxious. He has excellent behavior and is a kind, compassionate child. After fully explaining this, we were told the school could not meet that need. It is deeply concerning that there is no counselor available, especially while there are plans to expand to a high school campus. Any school, and certainly a Christian one, should have trained counselors and support systems in place for students. As Christian parents, we are intentional about raising our son in a strong church community and equipping him spiritually. We sought a school that would partner in that, not turn him away for needing occasional guidance. Scripture calls us to "carry each other's burdens" (Galatians 6:2), yet this experience reflected the opposite. I urge the school to seriously evaluate both its communication and its ability to support children who need care, wisdom, and guidance.

Greetings Dear Reader,…read more You are reading the most honest review about this school. This is from my experience in the application process after speaking with a prominent staff member at the school. First, we acknowledge that Jesus is King. And that to our children belong the kingdom of heaven. Raising our children right with the fruits of the spirit will lead them to our Father and to our savior Jesus. Parents have a direct role with the raising of our children and our teachers are not far behind in what they do for our children. A christian school is to be led by strong christian men and women. These "leaders" are to exemplify what it means to be christian and a follower of Jesus. This includes showing love, enduring joy, having inner peace, being kind, demonstrating patience and gentleness, exuding faithfulness and goodness and having self-control. We must understand that no one is perfect. Everyone has endured pain, stress, anxiety, etc. However, as a leader in the classroom/teacher the lowest hanging fruit is patience, gentleness, self-control and love. You need to be patient with the children, gentle when they are in need of gentleness, self-control when it is asked and above all love when the kids need it. Based on my initial experience and what i was told, this school and its staff do not have the tools or experience to fully direct the path of these kids in the way I feel a christian school would. Everything happens for a reason as God is never without intent and direction and He does not change. From knowing what I know now, I am glad that our light will be brought elsewhere and that my sons light will not be dimmed by this school. Love conquers all and Jesus is King. Thanks to all who read until the end.

Pines West Academy fosters an incredible learning environment based on educational excellence,…read morediscipline and an loving environment. The amazing staff with so much heart and caring mindset allows our daughters strive. After completion of her daycare through pre-k studies at PWA, our oldest daughter just won student of the month award amongst her 1st grade class in her new school. The staff anchored by principal Mrs Terri is really committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment and we're very thankful to her and the whole team for all the great job.

From yoga to music class, letter sounds or climbing the rock wall outside, she is engaged and continually learning throughout her day. It's not just me who finds PWA to be an outstanding educationally centered preschool. My friend, an elementary teacher in the area, says that children who attended PWA come into her class ready and prepared for kindergarten. In addition to the exceptional learning environment, PWA goes the extra mile to promote a clean and healthy environment. The school is very clean and all children wash their hands when they arrive at school and throughout the day. My daughter likes the food and I like the meal choices/healthy snacks. All of my daughter's teachers have been warm, organized and responsive. I can see what my daughter is learning using the school's communication app. This is a huge plus for me - her teacher uploads pictures throughout the day, we can chat and share documents digitally. My daughter wakes up and wants us to take her to school (even on the weekends). As a working mom, it's such a blessing to find a preschool that not only teaches my child but also genuinely cares about her. Thank you PWA for all you do.

As any new mom, i was beyond anxious to "send her to a stranger" but I was so glad we found lil' rascals. I believe her teachers genuinely love their students, and seeing my daughter interact with them, I knew she loved them too. Lil' rascals also was extremely helpful with my military childcare subsidy program. It's a lot of paperwork and keeping track but between them and my husband, they were super easy to work with and very understanding (govt money can take some time to get there). I trust the staff completely and it truly was one of my saving graces of this particular military unit. Miss Yuli, miss Tonya and miss Jenny are so sweet and special to us! Thank you!!

While we did not have a horrible experience we did not have a stellar one. The last straw was definitely the Director (who had been there our daughter's entire tenor) left without any notice to the parents (she knew she was leaving). This was very emotional for our daughter since this director claimed to "love" our child and I had to explain sometimes people you love leave. Daycare: Our daughter was relatively happy. They have early drop off and 6pm pick up, so it makes it very convenient for working parents. We started at 4 yrs old so I can't speak for the baby rooms. They started on the road to learning and preparing the kids for VPK VPK: We felt that the VPK program was very good and prepared our daughter for kindergarten. The teachers genuinely cared about our daughter and she had a good experience. Summer: the summer between VPK and K, the kids continued learning to insure they didn't forget what they learned in VPK. They also had a lot of in house activities and a once a week field trip. The school age kids went on field trips M-Th. and had themed days on Fridays. All in all it was a good experience for the VPK to K transition summer. Aftercare: aftercare...during my daughter's first year of aftercare it was okay. The kids are mixed from kindergarten to the oldest school age. I was not thrilled about this. The room also had about 2 college aged teachers watching all of the kids. They worked on homework with the kids, however, it was extremely loud and chaotic. At the end of the school year the assistant director left (quite abruptly) and was not replaced until very recently. During our 2nd year, our experience did not improve. Pick up from our daughter's school was delayed due to the lack of help. She got out of school at 2 and did not arrive at Lil Rascals until after 3 pm. Cons: turn over of staff is horrible. When we finally left only 2 staffers were still there from when we started. We were only there 3 years. One was a VPK teacher and the other was the woman who took care of the food, cleaning, ect. They are not responsive to communication and don't "own" anything. They raise the cost every session and also added a fee for paying by credit/debit card. They put zero money back into the school and zero money into their staff and any enrichment for them. Summary: I would say yes to this place for toddler & VPK...no to aftercare.
