WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! i don't even know where to start...maybe the hour and a half wait for my husbands appointment when he was told to get there 30 mins early for a wisdom tooth removal. before he could even fall asleep they cranked up their music and the oral surgeon said "okay let's be fast boys!!!" knowing my husband was uncomfortable being there. so unprofessional and absolutely did a rushed job! the drugs wore off on the car ride home and he was in so much pain and 100% SOBER 1 hour later!! he could not sleep and felt everything immediately after! They DO NOT SCHEDULE FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS FOR SURGERY?!??!!???!!!! The lack of communication beforehand was so inconsistent...we were told that my husband would be FULLY ASLEEP AND KNOCKED OUT!! NOPE... he heard EVERYTHING!! the cranking, the cracking, the pulling EVERYTHING! The biggest red flag is that he didn't sleep after wisdom teeth surgery!! They have no idea what they were doing and were scared to give him too much drugs so they gave him too little!!! Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy!! read more

Took my mom for her biannual cleaning and was never able to get it done. We had one of the first appointments of the day at 0730 and was told after an assessment that an additional gum cleaning was needed. We were never told the cost or time this would take, even after asking. Two hours passes by and the actual cleaning that was scheduled still hasn't taken place. Ended up just walking out after the staff was clearly not able to come up with a plan of care they should share with us. No one was at the front desk and the bathrooms were dirty as well, again first appointment of the day. read more

I am a pharmacist and I had not been to the dentist in about 10 years! When I was younger, I wasn't always happy to visit the dentist and I suppose when it came to me having to schedule my own healthcare visits, I didn't prioritized the dentist because of the anxiety it would bring. I was referred by a colleague of mine to visit dentist Lesley Robles-Perez and her dental hygienist, Brenda Cepeda at WMD. These 2 women and the entire WMD staff were fantastic from start to finish! Since I hadn't been to the dentist in quite sometime, I was expecting to have to do everything I dreaded about the dentist. My visit consisted of x-rays, teeth cleaning, mild cavity filling, polishing, and a bacteria killing laser treatment. Through every step of the way, the ladies at WMD were kind, patient, and strived to ensure an overall comforting experience. I want to especially shoutout Lesley and Brenda for their unmatched knowledge and professionalism. Pharmacists generally aren't taught a lot about dentistry, and with every question I had, they were ready with a thorough explanation. Given all the years I chose to neglect my dental health and this being my first visit back, I could not ask for a better dentist experience. If you want my recommendation, Westpointe Modern Dentistry is a no brainer, book that appointment! read more

Dr. Cook and the staff of Wespointe are just wonderful. I am one of those lucky folks that have a crazy fear of dentists and they have surprisingly managed to calm my nerves which makes my visits a lot more tolerable. Love the online check-ins. Service wise I have been pleased with the dental hygienists that have treated me. Business wise they force you to check in on an iPad. You're forced to remember a username and password even if you don't want to. Some people think this is the way of the future, I think it's asinine and unnecessary. They won't check you in when you show up they force you to check in on their iPad. When I expressed my displeasure with this the gal at the desk simply shrugs her shoulders and look down her nose at me. There are tons of other dentists here I'm on my way to find a new one now. read more

Loved this place for years but the dentist and hygienist left that did a stellar job.

Quite possibly the worst orthodontic experience! My son has had braces on since July 2020 and were told treatment would last until October 2021. We have been through 3 different orthodontist and different office staff since then. The customer service is poor with failing to follow up on future scheduling. We are waiting to get braces off and have no idea when that can happen because they haven't had a schedule since March of future ortho services. I am strongly considering just finding another orthodontist here soon read more

I have been going to Westpointe modern dental for almost 2 years now. I had neglected my teeth for years and had serious gum disease in my lower front teeth. Friend came here to get tooth pulled. Despite being in constant and severe pain they refused to give her pain meds. Kept saying that advil and Tylenol would help. Even though she told them over and over again that it wasn't helping. And that she hasn't slept in 3 days because of the pain. She pleaded with them for stronger pain meds and was told that if it was that bad that she needed to be seen at the ER. Mouth pain is one of the worst and to deny someone pain meds is unacceptable. read more

This place was great. I gotta admit I was a little hesitant to go to the dentist b/c I've been smoking so DAYUM much lately. But I also realized my teeth were turning all sorts of yellow. LOL! I went in here feeling pretty bad about myself but the hygienists and the dentist were super nice and understanding with me. I explained to them how I've been having a pretty tough time of it lately. Divorce is one of the most stressful life events a person can go through. Smoking and Prozac are my coping mechanisms for now. LOL! My teeth were in surprisingly good shape and we went ahead and did the zoom teeth bleaching. Now if I can just lay off the smokes and keep my pearly whites clean! We also talked some about invisalign (clear braces). I wish my parents would have shucked out the the bucks 30 years ago for regular braces b/c right now invisalign is just not feasible given my budget restraints. For now my plan is to sell my wedding rings and start saving up for braces! I'm almost 43, single and getting braces. JAYSUS what happened to my life? LOL!! read more

I don't have the words to express how impressed I was with the entire staff. Having an incredible fear of dentists combined with needing some potentially painful procedures, I actually was able to come out of that chair without experiencing any pain, feeling calm, & knowing I had been in good hands. My son was also treated as well & shared with me that his experience was very much similar. I do want to mention that Dr Matthew Gessell, DDS, was incredibly caring & made sure I'd not experience any pain. I would not ever recommend anyone within the healthcare business unless I had complete confidence in them. I most certainly recommend West point modern dentistry. I would like to mention a few names, & I know there's many I'll have forgotten (I apologize) Megan who assisted as well as Andrea who did incredible work on deep cleaning my teeth., & of course Carolyn as well. They all placed the patient as the priority vs trying to overschedule in order to make more money by getting patients in & out the doors quickly as possible. They spent time explaining everything, & we're seriously the best staff I've ever experienced in a healthcare environment. They actually care about people, & even donate their time & labor once a year to provide free or discount services for those who cannot afford them. Very rare to see in business today. I would choose a different orthodontist and/or dentist if you have anyone else available in your insurance plan. My daughter has to go to this office because of limited availability on her insurance. The office is dirty; on more than one occasion I have seen dead bugs on the floor underneath equipment. Furthermore, they do not seem interested in working with families who have children in school. The first appointment is 9 am; the last is 4 pm. When you have a child in braces and they are to be adjusted every 6 weeks, that is a LOT of school they have to miss. WMD should think about adding one or two nights a week that they serve their clients. They also have an inefficient phone answering policy/service. I called a few weeks ago to set up an appointment and the call was routed to someone at an answering service in a different state. That person could not see the appt books and did not have a clue how to help me besides tell me that they would tell the office to return my call. The office never did. Three calls later to the national office and I still didn't have an appointment. Bottom line: poor service, lack of client focus, and dirty facility all make this dentist/orthodontist office one you should avoid. read more

If I could give a no star review I definitely would for this place. I guess the one star will have to do & is for the hygienist who gave us the info on who to file a complaint with at the regional office. This office overcharged my husband & I on our visits. This office overcharged my husband 40.00 which they refunded & were going to over charge me 500.00 for work on my tooth. When I first questioned the charges the office manager took me into his office and started to explain to me their billing system as well as show me how they look thru codes with my insurance company to get prices for dental work. He proceeded to tell me that he would take an additional 200.00 off my visit as a courtesy to try to make things right. During that whole conversation all he did was bash & blame my insurance company, stating that it was hard to get paid for the claims they submit. He then advised me that going forward he would get preauthorizations for any work my husband & I needed done so that prices would be set. You would think this would be something they would do anyways. I needed work on another tooth done so they advised me that they would send off the preauthorization. I waited over a month, countless phone calls to them & they were unable to tell me what the price would be. I called my insurance co who told me that they had contracted prices with the dentist prices the dentist set up themselves so they couldn't understand why the office was not able to tell me the price. After a month & a 1/2 I received a fed ex letter for both my husband & I stating that a relationship between a dentist & patient is built on trust & that they would no longer see us(how crazy is that). When talking to my insurance company to file a complaint they stated that the office manager didn't like how we were questioning their prices or what they were doing so they chose to not see us, to not have to deal with us. **Please be very cautious with this office & make sure you verify prices with your insurance.** Side note - I also had to go back 3 times for them to level out a crown they did for me(the one where they were going to over charge). The same nurse laughed at me each time I went in. On the third visit I was so frustrated with her doing that, that I had to tell her that I didn't appreciate her laughing, that it was not funny to me in that I had to use my time off to get this taken care of, as well as spend hours waiting to get it fixed. She never apologized - very unprofessional. Worst experience I have ever had with a dental office/dentist. read more

I would NOT recommend this place. We showed up to our appointment 30 minutes early only to wait 1hr(30mins after our appt) to be seen. And when I tried to go in with my fiancé, the hygienists made a snarky comment saying "oh does he need you to hold his hand? He'll only be a few minutes." none of their rooms have anywhere for family to sit and the cleaning didn't take just a few minutes. Horrible customer service and I can't believe she would dare say that to me. Inappropriate! I'm switching my fiancé's dentist immediately. read more

Dentist appeared to only be nice and professional but in a hurry to leave the room. I just felt like there was a lack of dignity and respect towards your fellow man. I'm giving this place 2 stars for customer service and scheduling issues. The location is perfect since I live on this part of town, but the way they do their check up and cleaning schedule is ridiculous. Most dental offices I have visited do the cleaning, after the check up (during the same appt) This location has the practice of scheduling you for a check up, but then you have to schedule an additional appt at a different date/time for the cleaning. It all depends on what their day looks like. It's an inconvenience for those that have to take time off work a couple times to take care of preventative treatments, such as, xrays and cleaning. I hope they are more upfront with this practice. When scheduling my appts, I have been clear on what is needed and I hate that they change it last minute on me, because they get busy . read more

First visit to this office with Dr. Stanley. I hadn't been to the dentist in a while and he did an excellent job of translating 'dentist speak' into something everyone can grasp. His explanations definitely took all the apprehension and anxiety out of the visit. I thought the front desk was friendly and helpful and I got a good vibe from the staff. Went and concerned with tooth sensitivity. As soon as the dentists took a look he told me that had great teeth an needed no dental work! I experienced no issues making me feel they were just out for money. They did tell me I was clenching my teeth causing the pain all the recommendations would make him no money! Last week , I went to a new Dentist I have never gone to..I was in so much pain as my tooth had moved , and they saw me right away that same day... Nora at the desk was the first smiling face , It seemed I did not even have to do anything , then I was taken in right away by a young man , I am sorry I do know remember his name ...ex rays and then off to the dentist chair.......it was a very pleasant visit, the staff was great , my Dentist, Dr. Christianson was so thorough, explain each step... While I love my dentist, the office staff is very unprofessional. They can never seem to get my name right, calling me by my child's last name which is not mine, and its written everywhere! My daughter is an orthodontist patient there and all of a sudden there is a change in staff without notifying the patients/parents. Not knowing that their authorization paperwork is only good for so many days etc. I am so angry at the lack of communication. I would not take my child there for orthodontic work, between always needing to reschedule last minute and continually putting off taking her braces off it has been an exercise in frustration. I regret taking my child there for her braces. We will definitely be finding another dental office for our family. read more

Worst experience ever. I booked a cleaning and an exam as a new patient. I had xrays which were fine and then initial exam by the hygienist. She informed me that she would recommend a deep cleaning that would take hours but potentially be beneficial. Ok, but I declined. I explained I was not ready for that type of visit and would like to proceed with the normal cleaning. The dentist came in and did his exam and recommended a crown on a broken tooth which I was also ok with. He left me alone in the room so that I could speak with the benefits specialist to set up the crown. I sat in the chair for 45 minutes with my bib on waiting for someone to come back into the room. When someone finally did I asked about my cleaning. She disappeared for another 10 or 15 minutes. Finally a hygienist came in and offered to polish my teeth explaining that since I didn't accept the more expensive and invasive procedure that was all she could do. The dentist came in and tried to explain that since he recommended the more invasive procedure he couldn't possibly do a normal cleaning at this point. He started citing the oath about doing no harm and compared himself to a doctor writing prescriptions for liver issues. What? I had my last cleaning 7 months ago. My last dentist said nothing about me potentially needing a deep and invasive cleaning procedure. These people left me the option of scheduling the procedure or leaving without any treatment. 2 hours of my time wasted. No teeth cleaned. Zero stars. Now I have to take off more work to find another dentist. As I left saw him walk by into another room. Oh by the way I forgot to ask, do I have any cavities? Nope, no cavities, healthy teeth. read more
