That's what I definitely expected after shelling out over $600 in services here in a matter of 3 weeks, and the fact that the first chiropractor I saw said I would be training in no time. This place is definitely efficient. I felt like I was one in an assembly line. I felt rushed every time I was there. Staff was friendly though. On my most recent adjustment, I saw a different chiropractor than the first one, and he said that high hamstring injuries take longer to heal, and I should not expect to be running fully in another two to four weeks. Well, dismayed as I was to hear this, I felt the first chiropractor should have been real with me. He told me to start training again, and I couldn't even fully run yet. I am glad I held off on speedwork, because that definitely could have set me way back. So I'm disappointed and somewhat frustrated. The office is super nice, and offers coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and small waters. I guess with the probable cost each patient generates, I can see why.

Their office is conveniently located near my house and right across the street from the Grasslands Kroger and Blockbuster. It's not a huge office, but it's clean and inviting and they have a coffee/tea maker and sweet treats in the lobby. On my first visit I was warmly welcomed and given a free goody bag with a mug, candy and some BioFreeze samples. After filling out a thorough new patient form I met with the chiropractor who asked lots of questions and told me what I could expect during treatment. Then he took 2 x-rays of my back. The receptionist is very nice and made me feel welcome every time I walked through the door. Dr. Meininger is also really nice and always made pleasant conversation as he adjusted my back. When I arrived early for my appointment a few times, the receptionist let me sit in the massage chair in their therapy area while I got to watch a DVD on their flat screen TV (instead of waiting in the lobby). Hopefully my back pain won't return, but if it does I know where to go!

The staff is all very nice, and helpful, I never have a problem with getting an appointment when I need it or worrying about a mix up with my information at the front desk. There's never a long wait to see the DR or the massage therapists like in some practices. The usual visit goes like this: I'm greeted right away, step into a room for a really good massage, and next enjoy some of Dr Alex's own blend of tea or a glass of water just before I see the DR for an adjustment. Depending on my reason for a visit, I may also receive either cupping, acupuncture, or some kind of stretching or muscle stimulation therapy (I don't know the technical terms for everything). I'm a true believer in acupuncture, as it was something that I found very useful while living in Illinois, to help me with various issues.
