I was bleeding through my towel and asked for assistance they simply pointed to the corner to get a paper towel. once I was in the exam room the provider Katelyn Tivey. And she confirmed that the facility is in network with Excellus . At no point did she share that she Is NOT an in network provider!!! Now I am dealing with Excellus bill of 710 dollars !!! i consider it a fraudulent and criminal act by the facility and the Provider to not disclose the fact that PA Tibey is not an in network provider! This happened at the dewey ave in Greece !

The only thing I was taken back was how disorganized the desk staff was. Even with my set arrival time it took the front desk 30 minutes to get me checked in. Once I was seen my the medical staff in the back, I was blown away. I've been to other RGH affiliated urgent care centers and they did not seem that clean, the Dr's or PA's weren't that knowledgeable. The Dr, that came to see me, took his time to fully understand what was going on with me and prescribed me a treatment that would have been very similar to one of the specialists I see. His bed side manor was helpful, funny and he put me at ease. Over all I was fully impressed with the treatment. If I was to break down the stars would be 3 for the front desk staff, and 5 for the medical staff once you get taken back. If I'm ever on that side of town and need urgent care, I would not hesitate to go back there. I may even drive out of my way to go there if my Primary care is booked.

When I called for an appointment, I specifically said that my ear is plugged, at one point perforated ear drum that had drained a bit but was still plugged. Was told I had to have a hearing test first, why you ask? Because you said you have hearing loss. Doh, my ear is plugged, I also have tinatus which is much louder now, I just want my ear unplugged. Must have hearing test first, it's protocol. So I go, why are you here? Plugged ear. Audiologist, why are you here? Plugged ear, they told me I had to have a hearing test first, all I want is my ear unplugged. Test done, she starts to explain the results and I tell her I really don't care, all I want is my ear unplugged. See the quack who starts to explain the test results and I tell him, don't really care, I just want my ear unplugged. Looks in my ear, yes the perforation has healed. I tell him I've even done the plug your nose and blow to try and unplug it. Well keep on doing that. I looked at him and said that's it? Yup. Grabbed my purse and walked out. We checked in, and the process was smooth and comforting. When you walk in, the smell of old cigarettes slaps you in the face, but other than that, the waiting room is serene and clean. We waited a little, then the nurse called my friends name and didn't say anything to me. This was her first major surgery, so she was naturally a bit nervous. They started prepping her for surgery and both of us were left wondering when we were going to say "goodbye" or even just a clarification of what was happening. The nurse only came out to tell me my friend needed help with something. Turns out, she needed to take off all her earrings before surgery, which was not communicated to us at anytime before arriving. The earrings had been put on by the piercer at the jewelry shop and were very difficult to take off. After about 20 minutes, we pried the earrings off. It definitely would have been more painless and less difficult to have been notified earlier. After the earring debacle, I just stayed with her in the prep room while the IV was places and other various prepping procedures were administered. We then had the chance to say goodbye before the actual surgery. All in all, the experience was quite nice. The staff and the nurses were very pleasant!! Would definitely recommend.

Big Shout out to Dr. Lammers, Dr. Hunse, Dr. Tariq, and Dr. Thomas. The nurse practitioner Alison is always great to ask questions to, call on the phone, or have a Non Stress test with. She is so friendly and honest about all of your questions. The wait is never long, the front desk staff is friendly, and I can't wait to return to this practice after birth for my regular GYN visits.
