They make their money by telling women that the things they need for a warrant are twice their actual price and tack on a huge amount of labour on top. When I rang Dave with a quoted price for four tyres once, he cringed so hard it was audible down the phone line. He got me better tyres for half the price and replaced them while I waited. What a friggin champion. If you're in the Grey Lynn area, go and see Dave. Hell, even if you're not, go and see him. He's the best in the business.

Tyreworks was the closest garage we knew so we desperately turned around the corner and parked our care straight in front. The mechanic (I didn't catch his name) reassured us that the noise was just the rattling of a piece of debris which had lodged its way into the tire. He was right. Within 10 minutes, he removed the tire, found a small rock, discarded it immediately and put our minds at ease. We insisted, but he said he didn't want to seek payment for such a minor issue. We don't know a whole lot about cars, but I only wish the world were full of more people like this mechanic. Due to his efficiency, honesty and integrity I will bring the car here every time we experience an issue with it.

Anyway, this is a very handy petrol station in the peninsula. The main reason is that the pumps are not on Prepay, so you can just fill up and get on with it. In other stations you have to go in and tell them you want to fill up and this can be time consuming if there are people in front of you. I too found the staff here very nice - I have dealt with quite a few of them and they are all quite friendly. Sometimes I wonder how people who deal with the public can always be so bubbly because when I did this sort of thing years ago, I was fairly grumpy....especially if I was tired and dealing with dickheads. I must sample their coffee sometime because normally when I pull in here, I am rushing somewhere else.

He probably wouldn't be my favourite person if he served me while I was getting petrol in the morning, as I don't think cheerfulness and morning time go together, but on that particular day his service was fantastic. We got coffee and muffins and even though it was gas station coffee it was really, really good. Great petrol station!

My partner took our car in to get our tires changed at Eden Tyres this morning. We got in for an…read moreappointment super quick, and the service was really fast as well. It took just over an hour for three new tires to be put on and have an alignment done. He took it for a test drive after the service was done and was pleased with the results. The shop is in good condition and easy to get to. The guy working there was nice enough. The only downside is that my partner said he could probably get the tires for much less on his own, but decided to just go here for convenience sake, since we are heading out on a road trip tomorrow. All in all, the service was smooth and we are happy with our new tires! Thanks Eden Tyres for making our lives a little easier :)

I wanted to give a big shout out to Ana (who monitors the Beaurepaires Facebook page) and Andrew…read more(service manager at 126 Great North Road). My family was visiting from the USA. We hit a pothole and blew out the tire. The rental company said it was our responsibility to replace the tire so that's how we ended up at Beaurepaires. Our understanding was that we would be able to store our vehicle overnight and not rush back from our sightseeing. We were off to Paihia the next day and figured we'd get the car the next morning and be off. The only communication we had with the shop was email. We received confirmation our vehicle was ready and responded back that we'd be back to pick it up the next morning. We did not read email until that evening and to our utter dismay, we were told the shop would be closed for Waitange Day and would not be able to pickup the vehicle until the following day. In desparation, we replied to the email and sent a message via Facebook. To our surprise, Ana responded to us at 9pm and said she would try to help. The next morning, Ana was able to arrange for Andrew the service manager to meet us at the service center. Andrew lived over 1/2 an hour away, but drove in on his day off to open up the service center just for us. Ana and Andrew went way above and beyond the call of duty. We only had 3 nights in Paihia with many activities scheduled so Ana and Andrew really helped save our vacation! Beaurepaires has two excellent employees in Ana and Andrew who really care about their customers!

I had put in lowering springs into my car here. After I had come to pick up the car they let me…read moreknow that one of the wheels was missing a wheel nut and had a damaged wheel stud. I had no missing wheel studs or damage to the car prior to having their work done on my car. Afterwards I was told to go across the road to get a quote to repair the damage they created on my vehicle. DO NOT GO HERE, bunch of clowns, can't even put lowering springs in without damaging the car and losing wheel nuts.
