Basically the Westside Church is a cult like organization. They are a part of the LA International Church of Christ. My neighbor is a member of this Church. He wouldn't stop trying to get me to join. On Christmas 2018 at his house he cornered me for 2 hours I couldn't Leave because of a heavy snow and I walked over before the snow storm. His preaching was identical to what I've read about this Church recently. The following are all quotes. Gays are all going to Hell. Muslims are all infidels. They must be destroyed. You must follow the Lord. You have lost your way. The Lord has spoken to me and I will lead you or you will face eternal damnation. He and his wife wouldn't stop. Saying things like the Earth is 6000 years old. There is no such thing as Evolution. Liberals are destroying our country. I fought back verbally. Finally he stopped. But it was not over. I did go to this Church for awhile. Just to see what was going on. They teach the Law is Bad. The Law as I discovered is the Old Testament. I also witnessed what I can only describe as a propaganda cult video. The members are mesmerized. On Easter 2019 he pulled me out of Church. And Screamed at me for 15 minutes. All quotes below. I don't like your lifestyle. I don't like the way you live. You're crazy. You're bipolar. Your a narcissist. It's 100% your fault. I was in shock. He has threatened me. Then he almost killed me 1 month ago today. Struck me with a pole. Luckily I had defensive taser dart. But he'd warned me before. That he knows to police. The district attorney. Judges. Etc. he got them to arrest me. I've reported him to the police 30 plus times. They won't help me. They arrested me. Cost me $10,000. But it's way worse. He has destroyed my art work. Stolen my property. Over $350,000 of theft and damage. I've been scared to death. I called the Church to get them to stop him. Guess what? They called the police. I told many people in Placerville and several said it's a cult. Told me the Westside Church was part of this LA International which explained it all. I've called several lawyers. Suddenly they won't represent me. I traced all of them to the same Church. Even my Internet provider Rocky Ridge wireless. The CEO Brent Stewart. Yes. Same church. He has placed a porn filter on ALL customers. But it's not just a porn filter. Blocks any "bad words". Even the term strip club. I reported them to the Federal Communication Commission. Then then came on my property and stole my microwave dish and router when I was out of town. Yes of course Lance my neighbor supported Rocky Ridge Wireless as did the church. I'm so afraid I put my house up for sale. This entire ordeal has cost me over 1 million dollars. It's all true. I'm scared to death and the police won't help me. They have told me to move from Placerville and El Dorado County. Finally I found a lawyer to represent me. More money. Please trust me. They are Evangelist crazies. I am leaving the area as soon as I can. But my reputation is destroyed. They've spread false rumors I'm on Paroke. I'm Gay. I'm mentally ill. People in Placerville have told me they've heard to rumors. I knew Placerville was conservative but this is out of control. I've had no choice but to install video surveillance hardware and software. The members of the Westside Chrch ate the types that raise their hands in the air all during church service. I've heard about these organizations but never knew I'd walk right into their trap. I grew up in a Christian home, which is a huge blessing to be sure, but I remember church-hopping a lot as a child. We would go to one place for a couple of years and then something would happen that would send a rift through the congregation and divide the church. So we would try somewhere else and keep on moving around until we felt the Lord telling us to stay put. So when I grew up and got married I never seemed to find a church that I was willing to actually STAY in. Until now. Every service not only ministers to me but challenges me too. I have grown more in the past 2 1/2 years at Westside than any other church in my life. It has a healthy body and people who are who they say they are. It is like breathing fresh air. As a church body that models the New Testament Churches, the excitement of Who God IS and His plan for us has me looking forward to every message and time that I get together either corporately during service or personally in small groups. We have been going to Westside for over 5 years now. Our first day there, my husband and I commented to each other on how warm and friendly everyone was. That warmth, genuine kindness, and overwhelming hospitality has never changed in all the years we have been there! I feel so fortunate to be part of a church that actively loves on the people in our community! The church has lots of groups to get involved in...if you love 4-wheeling and camping, consider their Westside Wheelers group. For women who enjoy the outdoors like snowshoeing or white-water rafting, it's always fun on the Women's Adventure Group! My wife and I have been attending Westside church for 5 yrs now. Our decision to make Westside our home was solidified by listening, listening to the Holy Spirit and seeing Jesus. No other way to explain how God has impacted our lives through our family at Westside. We felt like family the first time we entered the doors. My husband and I have both grown up as Christians and over the years have attended many churches as our lives have taken us to different towns or states. There have been a few that have stood out - where we felt God moving and ourselves growing in our appreciation and adoration of our incredible Lord and Savior. We have been going to Westside Church for eight years and counting. Our two youngest kids began attending Westside first, when they were still teenagers, and they invited us to try it out. They immediately welcomed us and were so helpful with everything with our newborn twins, from meals to a baby shower to babysitting when my husband and I needed a night to ourselves. Westside is a great place to grow in your relationship with Jesus....or start one! We have an authentic group of believers who aren't perfect and don't pretend to be.
