(There are many positive comments that are not featured at the top, which I don't understand.) The Linden School is simply one of the finest communities that I have ever been part of. The passion and expertise from the faculty is just unmatched. (Seriously: Go to Ratemyteacher and see what kids are saying.) The students achieve incredible things, likely because the teachers are approachable, engaged, and really care about their students' achievements. If a kid (or parent) needs help, the teachers are there for them. The curriculum is interesting, without a lot of emphasis put on textbooks or prepackaged programmes. Teachers listen to students and respond to individual interests and needs. Much of the classroom work is based on real problems, and hands-on activities. This approach seems to be working, as the graduates are articulate, interesting people who go on to do amazing things. There is also an outstanding athletics programme. Although there are no tryouts, the teams still somehow keep winning championship banners! Seriously--the gym is full of them. I can't recommend Linden highly enough. If you're looking for a school where people care about you and where you'll be encouraged to do amazing things, You should consider it.

Instead of being a place of growth and encouragement, the school created an atmosphere of fear, exclusion, and constant judgment. A teacher, Rory consistently singled me out in ways that felt unfair and humiliating. The leadership under the principal, Janice, only made things worse -- the administration fostered an environment that was punitive rather than supportive, and students like me were left feeling isolated and diminished. The impact of this experience has stayed with me long after, which says everything about the culture of this school. I would strongly warn families to reconsider before sending their children here.

You/your child will be attending one of the best schools academically in Toronto, but you/your child will have absolutely no social life. I came here from a very large public school and let me tell you my social life, now, is a crap shoot. There are no friend groups, and no one gets along well. Constant unnecessary drama and students do not get along well at all. Also prepare for your child to be spoiled for life because the clientele that can afford a $30,000 a year school are the wealthiest in Toronto. Lastly the school has no sports, school spirit, student life, and the "committees and clubs" are a joke. Nothing is taken seriously by the students except for academics, and the teachers and administration promote a miserable environment by only focusing on academics. If you want your child to be extremely bright but likely a nerd without a social life who spends his days at home either studying or playing video games then this is the school for you. If you want a well rounded happy child who balances his school and social life than this is definitely not the school for you. My personal opinion is to NOT send your child here.

There are change rooms available, an easily accessible water fountain, and the only basic rule is that you remove wet/muddy footwear before going into the gym. The gym is the perfect size to play dodgeball in. It's not too small so the games last a decent amount of time and don't turn into a firing squad and it's not so big that you throw your arm out every time to try to get the ball to the other side of the court.

But now at Pope Francis Catholic School he grades have come up. From c- to b+ I take that as a win. I'm not Catholic, but my wife is. She's telling me to add "To all parents that have there kids in a Public school, and feel like your kid could do better then bring try putting your kid in Catholic school. Like Pope Francis Catholic School here at 319 Ossington Ave. You might be in for happy surprise." So if you are near this school, and want your kid to learn I recommend it. or any Catholic school in Down Town Toronto maybe nearly the same. Ms. Leyla was so welcoming and radiates love for the kids. She truly care for the kids and made me felt comfortable leaving my daughter in her care. The school is very new and clean, staff are friendly. The school also aligns with my view in Montessori learning and I can see the difference in my daughter since she started. Highly recommend.
