I have for several years been complaining to village dental of pain in a crowned tooth of my lower…read moreleft jaw. That tooth had a crown put on it by Dr Rauch in 2015ish. The crown came off in 2022ish while I was in Montana and I had it replaced by a local Montana dentist. At my next scheduled cleaning and every cleaning since I told the village dental staff, Dr Rauch and then Dr Purdue of pain in that tooth. They thought the pain was caused by the crown being incorrectly replaced with to much cement, resulting in it being to tall. They ground the crown down a bit and sent me on my way. Finally I made an appointment in early December 2024 to have the ever increasing pain addressed. Dr. Purdue recommended a crown on the opposing tooth in my upper jaw and said he would make it a little shorter so the 2 teeth would not compress so tightly while eating. In fairness that tooth did need a crown regardless but after it was installed the pain was still getting worse. I insisted on another X-Ray which showed a dark shadow surrounding the affected tooth of my lower jaw at which point they referred me to an Endodontist. The Endodontist said the shadow was a void in my jaw caused by an infection which had eaten away the bone. He referred me to an oral surgeon who removed the infected tooth and the neighboring tooth which did not have enough bone around it to remain viable. I am now waiting for a bone graft to get dense enough for implants. The bottom line for me is my complaints regarding pain were ignored or explained away for roughly 2 years. I believe if the Village dental staff or doctors had referred me to specialists after failing to eliminate my pain, the teeth could have been saved.

I got the filling scheduled and got it done just to be surprised with his own inflated fees rather than my insurance fees which he refused to accept. The reason? It was a filling that wasn't due for replacement yet. Amy, the awful billing lady yelled and argued with me over the phone that it's not their job to check if the tooth had been worked on in the past by another office. These people are lazy as sh*t and will NOT check any sort of tooth history just to trap you into paying their blown up fees. Watchout, this is a strategy of theirs! All other offices I've been to will not hesitate to call your insurance to gather pertinent information about the tooth that needs work. The filling, by the way, was no good. As you can see from the other reviewers, Dan Mirci absolutely sucks at performing fillings. Save yourself the headache and avoid this office and the awful billing lady! The rest of the ladies there were nice but Amy the biller is a total b*tch. I needed to see a dentist right away, and Merci Dental absolutely came through for me. They were able to get me in the same day. I let them know I was flexible and would take whatever opening they had, and I was so grateful they squeezed me in. The dentist quickly evaluated me and said I needed a root canal. Because of the complexity, they felt it would be best for me to see an endodontist. What impressed me was how the Merci Dental team handled it -- they didn't just send me away with a referral. The dentist had the front desk call three highly recommended endodontists immediately to see who could take me. Within minutes, they had me set up with an appointment, and I was able to drive straight over and be seen that same day. The next day, I came back to Merci Dental to be fitted for a crown, and two weeks later I now have my permanent crown in place. Everything feels great and the quality of work has been excellent. The entire staff was kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about my well-being. Since everything was happening quickly, they made sure to explain each step clearly and confirm that I understood what was being done. The front desk deserves special thanks -- they moved fast, coordinated seamlessly, and kept billing accurate in real time even as the treatment plan changed. That kind of attention to detail made a stressful experience so much easier. I spend a lot of time in Salt Lake City, and Merci Dental is now my go-to dentist. From emergency care to ongoing dental work, I couldn't recommend them more highly.

I don't know? Cleanings were always fine, but I am so grossed out by the lack of hygiene. If you're working on my mouth, I don't know about other people, but I expect it to be (and smell!) clean. A sick office assistant and at least one sick patient? This isn't a GP office! Do better. The Dr. is no where in sight. I will not be staying. I cannot recommend this practice for anyone with standards. The smell, the sick people, the lateness is gross and utterly unacceptable.

I had three crowns placed at this office and have experienced ongoing problems since the procedure…read more Issues I experienced after the crowns were placed include: -Pain when chewing (especially nuts or gum on the left side) -Bite changes where my teeth now catch in ways they did not before treatment -Crowns contacting other teeth in a way that chipped a natural tooth and a previously placed crown due to the rubbing against the crowns placed by this office -Open spacing near the gumline between crowns where food consistently gets trapped -A crown shape and color that do not match my natural teeth, despite discussing this with the office beforehand -Food sticking to the chewing surfaces, which was not an issue before the crowns were placed I reported these concerns during follow-up visits and raised them again at my last appointment. However, the issues were not addressed, and I was told they would be handled if I returned to have an additional crown placed. After I left a one-star review, Dr. Allred asked that I contact the office as if my concerns had not already been clearly communicated in person. I have had routine checkups and cleanings at other dental offices following my treatments at Velux and was never told that the additional tooth they recommended for a crown required that level of treatment. In fact, I had never even been told that the tooth needed a filling. I have since been informed that one of the crowns may need to be replaced because it does not make proper contact with the adjacent tooth. Because of these issues, I have sought care elsewhere and will be replacing the crowns placed by this office. Since my dental insurance already paid for the crowns placed here, I will now have to pay out of pocket for the replacements. I would not recommend this dental office.

Well he got me in last minute and pointed out it was actually the nerve getting damaged from the tooth behind my crown, which was due to my recession, not the crown. Even though it was a short appt and I had my baby girl, he made time to put on a small filling close to my gumlineto cover up the exposed nerve ending. I still need to call back his office and tell them it's doing much better, as they left a follow up message just checking on it that I missed. I went in for the first time on mid Dec. 2019 for checks and Dr. Kiser refereed me to his same office dentist Dr. Coats for surgery works. Both of surgery done by Dr. Coats are seriously bad and make my dental health worse. I paid 4000 for their craps and nice words. When I talked to them, said they did complete the service and the pains are not there faults, and they sent me away. When I felt pain after the surgery, I called in, I immediatly knew I was in a trap. They did not feel suprised at all. They are on a routine to handle it, ie, find the right time to send me away, and of course part my money forever. These people there are disgusting. When I asked Dr Kiser about bad reviews of Dr. Coats, Dr. Kiser said he did not know about it. So, Dr. Kiser, here you go. I am going to share them here with you. so they no more crap from you. These are public. When I asked Dr. Coats about those reviews, he said he never make mistakes. He told me he wanted to do It this way because I already had a crown on the tooth. Coats was supposed to remove the root tips but he left 1 of them in my gums. It caused severe pain and infection for almost two years before a periodontist found it and fixed it. I even asked Coats if he did remove the root tips, he lied and said yes!" - 2016 So, this is what happened to me. Dr. Coats performed a surgery that supposes to fix my infected root tips. Ends up: infection goes up to the nose, and tooth are getting more pain. Dr Coat also performed a root canal on another tooth. End up: that tooth is hurting even more. When Dr Kiser saw me after the first complaint, he immediately said he can fix both problems (without looking at x-ray yet). He simply tossed out nice words continuously, and I have to stop him from continuing chanting nice words. I asked him to speak with evidence. Then, he has not much to say and to show with evidence. I guess he is not happy and out of tricks. After two months of the surgery, I finally get to see Dr. Coats. Guess what, what a crap, I have to stop him giving out crap words, nonsense. He simply said he did a very good job and completed. Just like Dr. Kiser, he said things without evidences, without logic. When I confronted him, he asked me to leave. What a crap and lie. All I want here is to share this info publicly, so that no other innocent people like me, continue to fall into their traps. My money of $4000 is gone and I am left with more problems. I can move on, but the true face of Dr. Kiser and Dr Coats need to be made known.

The face feels more like an elaborate laboratory where we are all the guinea pigs. They're not real dentists or orthodontists. These are people that will clean your teeth or fill a cavity and put fake braces on your teeth. However, if you have any real issues with your teeth you need to go someplace else and they are happy to make you referrals. They use a brand similar to Invisalign called sure smile. The price that was quoted to me was $3,900 but I believe you can get it done much cheaper at other places.
