Ranging from indie rock shows like channel Zero to hip hop centric fare like Severe Entertainment, it's a good place to see your local artists featured. There's also the chance to watch some pretty far out(and unsuccessful) attempts at creating television magic. It's like college radio on TV!!! You can be on TV. The station offers classes in many aspects of production. After meeting the requirements you can try to get an on-air slot. I haven't gotten that far yet but I'll tell you when the first episode of "The Chihuahua Diaries" airs.

I've watched a lot of CNN Headline News over the years! When my work had TVs on news channels in shared spaces, one would be tuned into CNN Headline News and one would be tuned into Fox News. The Fox news tone for breaking news was always jarring to me, and it made me nervous and CNN, in contract was always more peaceful. CNN is (as Marianne noted) the first television channel to provide 24-hour news coverage and the first all news television channel in the United States. And, who doesn't love Anderson Cooper? I always admired the photography of the social acquaintance of Anderson's mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, named Diane Arbus! Diane, a prolific photographer, photographed Anderson as a little infant. The title of the photograph is "A Very Young Baby, N.Y.C., 1968." Diane photographed both Cooper and his brother Carter. To this day, Anderson hangs at least one copy of the photograph in his home, he received two from her estate sale post mortem. The photograph was published in Harpers Bazaar over 58 years ago. Back to CNN, Anderson Cooper anchors CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360." Anderson has also authored or co-authored numerous books, at least five.
