However, when I returned 2 hours later, my worst nighmare had finally come into reality. My dog was now a unreconisable frankinstien; bushy tail, fluffly head, and butchered body which had been shaved to the skin and while my stomach was turning the pet lodge butcher laughted and suggested that she could have skinned his fur some more. The nightmare doesn't end here; I took him to the vets on the same day, after Pet Lodge, and they said his ears need cleaning- something which I had paid pet lodge to do. I now don't dare walk out in public with my dog. My dog has a serious complex with his new nakedness, and I feel like I have betrayed his trust that he put into me when I left him at Pet Lodge. He now keeps his head low to the floor and he sits curled up in the corner looking depressed- and I know it is Pet Lodge's doings as before I took him he was brimming with life and a very happy little confident- if not arrogant- dog.

HOWEVER the staff at Pet Lodge deal with him admirably and he always looks and smells beautiful when he's done. If you don't want your dog to been shaved and there is no health reason for doing so just tell them - they do listen... I wouldn't go anywhere else now - always happy with the end results.

So, anyway this little dog grooming shop is quite a shop. They are specialist in microchipping which in a nutsell; basically means to chip your pet so that if they do get lost you can find them. So what are you thinking about that? The price? Well rest assured as they charge £17.50 for that which I think is great. They do more than microchipping such as dog grooming. Doug is not one to sit quietly, he never has been and never will unfortunately for us. I would recommend getting any pet that goes out the house micro-chipped. Its really inexpensive and worth every penny if they go missing. Im am going to take Doug here for his nails and hair to be done....he is spoilt rotten.
