If you believe that a visit to a traditional seaside resort isn't complete without sitting down to a traditional fish and chip meal then the 'special' which comprises fish, chips, mushy peas, bread & butter plus a pot of tea for £4.75 is a no-brainer. Good quality fresh food, friendly and quick service and all at a reasonable price. You can't go wrong here. One other useful addition to the menu is the kids 'meal in a box' which includes lunch, a drink, a lollipop and a toy. If you've got kids who can't see beyond a McDonald's happy meal this is an option that should keep them happy. These are the freshest, hottest and BIGGEST portions you will ever find. When I received my chip feast I had to ask the lady behind the counter what sized portion it was ( they have child 80p, regular £1.10 and large £1.40). Unless specified you will receive a regular but this will feed 2 people. Lymm Fish & Chips also doubles as a Chinese takeaway and once again, it does not skimp on its portion size. The food is restaurant quality and for £4.50 for most dishes and £5.50 for king prawn meals, this is terrific value, even though rice is not included in the price. Whenever I go there, I am usually buying food for six hungry people and you need no more than four meals to accommodate a group of this size. The onion rings were far to be proper onion rings, as they were not battered as expected, falling apart, totally greasy, wrapped on the same poor quality paper. The Hawaii pizza completely lukewarm. The store had no consideration in putting the chips and the onion rings in a polyesterine box. The barbecue sauce was ridiculous, not tasting like the proper sauce. I felt robbed after paying £14.91 for so disgusting and appalling service received. Their online website offers 10% off but at the end it is more like 5%, as they charge a service fee on the top of the delivery. I do not need to say that I will never ever order anything again from this place. It makes me wondering how Google shows this place amongst the best 10 chippy stores in Huyton.
