My wife and I went to this Whataburger yesterday. We were the only ones in the dining area except for 4 employees playing on their phones. We waited for 15 minutes to get our food before we asked for our money back so we could leave. The employee at the cash register had to go to the drive-up window register to get our refund. I had to wait another 5 minutes while he got the money. This is why we drive across town that has employees that care about their customers. We will not return to this Whataburger; instead we'll go to Wendy's. read more

I went to Whataburger on 19th & Bryant on April 7, 26 @ about 5pm. I placed my order a burger meal w only meat cheese & crispy bacon. I repeated it 2 to 3 times. Got my order checked my burger which had all vegetables. I told the cashier it was only meat cheese & crispy bacon. I was asked to pull up. I did & waited. I got the same burger with onions still in it. I got so agitated. I went in told the manager in blue shirt. He never tried to deescalete the situation just asked for a receipt. Never asked the cashier that tended to my order. Even more agitated I went got the receipt drink & bag they gave me. Gave it to manager accidentally making drink spill. He tried to justify his action never tried to make it right i adked for customer service number he asked if i had paper to right it down. Then i asked for a refund & he dropped a currency on floor & expected me to pick it up. He is in wrong line of work. Very unprofessional and just trash customer service. Never will go there again. This person needs to be reprimanded immediately. Whataburger NEVER AGAIN! I'm only putting a star on this review because it's required. But they deserve nothing. Making that clear!!!!!! read more

As a Californian visiting Texas, I had to try this Whataburger everyone raves about. I unfortunately wasn't impressed, and disagree that it's comparable to In n Out. They do offer a lot more options, however the quality is like McDonald's. read more

The worst. I ordered my food online. Let them know when I got there. They let my food sit in the warmer. It wasn't until I got up and asked them that they realized it was in the warm warmer. They didn't listen to me because the don't care..The manager tall young Hispanic kid with glasses was rude didn't bother to apologize was laughing with the staff like it was no big deal. if there was a (0) star, id most definitely choose that over (1) star. moving on, i arrived @ the n.bryant location around 3:35a.m. && pulled directly up to the speaker to order our food. it took roughly (5) minutes && countless attempts to try to get in contact w/ whoever was working the drive thru orders to respond to us. we ordered && proceeded to the window to pay. now, ive worked in the restaurant business before in the kitchen as well as the front part of the restaurant && i have never experienced the lack of care/concern from these so-called employees that i experienced when i went to this particular whataburger location. i literally don't believe ive ever waited in a drive thru line as long as i did earlier. now, i know that they weren't short staffed so im not sure why the f**k it was taking so long but these disrespectful ass people need to be re-trained or fired bc they did a terrible job. youd think that they would have the f**king common courtesy to keep us informed if lets say: our meal was never going to be prepared, we'd be waiting in the damn line for over (30) f**king minutes. smmfh. read more

I get food they are either missing an item (the cookies are a really popular one they miss ALL THE TIME) AND they just blatantly leave out napkins, sauces (that you asked for) and silverware if you're ordering a salad. Me and my friends went and ordered burgers after hours(4am) and we got burgers without meat. WHAT?!? What kind of burger place forgets to put the meat inside the burgers?!?!? The condition of the establishment should of been expected with my gut feeling I received as I walked in. As expected. Taste like nothing and feels like a brick in my stomach. Won't be eating here again. It took so long to get my food. It was cold before I got it hotel which was a few miles down the road. The service was mediocore. Children playing with their friends as they came in to order their food. At least three workers sitting down doing nothing as I walked in. DO NOT EAT HERE, if you have standards. This restaurant is FILTHY. I came here last night and was appalled at how disgusting the dinning room looked. Even behind the cashier counter looked horrendous. Everything was dirty, messy and unkept. The placed looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks or months. We waited for over 5minutes before the cashier helped us. Even the employees looked messy. And it made me worry about the food handling practices here. Just a horrible start for a fast food experience. The food was just average at best. I used to work in fast food years ago and our store would have never looked like this. After being out of the great state of Texas for a week, we were craving Whataburger. We looked up the closest Whataburger and the reviews almost deterred us from this one, the closest one on our path. Glad we came anyways. This is an older Whataburger but still very clean. The food took as long as it usually does at any Whataburger. The food wasn't hot but it wasn't cold either. There doesn't appear to be a heat lamp where the holding/packaging area is. I suppose this review will be tinted with nostalgia-colored glasses, but bear with me. It's been a nice visit to Texas, and I've enjoyed getting to see friends and family. Did the quintessential BBQ, have enjoyed some new delights, and revisited some memories growing up. I really wish Colorado had Whataburger! I do miss the better-than-fast-food fast food. My only complaint about the chain throughout the years is that the time it often takes to produce an order is more akin to a sir down restaurant, but one is clearly in a fast food environment. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our lunch was served. This particular Whataburger greeted us with hellos, had a walk-around employee (akin to a waitress-lite) who got us more napkins, ketchup, and bussed our tables - I simply don't know many chain fast food joints that offer this sort of service. Despite being busy, the staff made it a point to say goodbye and to come again - color me impressed. The food (again being judged in the realm of fast food) was pretty good - over the years, I've had some amazing burgers and Whataburger isn't always my favorite (see: Five Guys). But there was something about the meal that just hit the spot. Also, for what it's worth, Whataburger's menu is much more expansive than Five Guys', and perhaps slightly cheaper. You can't get a delicious grilled chicken sandwich at Five Guys, per instance. So for those of you who have never had the chance to experience Whataburger, it's worth the experience on your next visit. For everyone else, you more or leas know the deal, and I highly recommend San Angelo's Bryant Blvd. store. Like most fast food joints, I'm sure the quality varies from store to store, but I was grateful that my experience was met with attentive staff and a delicious meal. read more

The food was cold. There was no gravy. I'm in Texas there has to be gravy. Fries are cold and stale. They taste as if they sat in oil for 8-10 hours. The chicken was terrible. I went to this Whataburger location on Sunday night, After a day of Football overload. I arrived at around 8:30 pm the drive thur was at least 8 or 9 cars back. I decided to go in and place my to go order inside. The inside was packed with families already eating so no wait to order. The order was taken promptly And I watched this staff work like a well oiled machine. Everyone was moving quickly asking if folks were getting all they needed. It was great to see this. When I had to miss my hotel's late breakfast start time, I stopped here at the drive thru. I thought a nice chicken biscuit would hit the spot and keep me going on the road. It was a honey butter biscuit, which I (and my shirt) found out was more honey butter than biscuit. I didn't see any pool of honey butter around the biscuit on the ordering kiosk sign, but my biscuit was swimming in it. Jeez. Also, I got my order, but they didn't give me my drink. Bryants location is sooo very slow, I've waited in line over 30 minutes! i love to order thier the large fries, but my large fries are looking more like medium! they really need to speed it up! I only went through the drive through but I had to "hold on" for 10 minutes, I then placed my order, pulled to the window paid, & waited 20 minutes for my 9 piece chicken.
