Suffering from a broken back, several broken ribs which punctured several organs, including her lungs and heart, and also breaking her sternum and rupturing her spleen, she was transported to the Murfreesboro Hospital and then Life flighted to Vanderbilt Trauma center in Nashville where she was rushed into surgery. I was notified three hours after the accident by the ambulance driver and the crew that cut her out of the car of all I have previously mentioned, and was told by rescue crew that she had been unresponsive and wasn't expected to survive her injuries. The day after the wreck my wife told me to start looking for an attorney for her. My friend and I looked for 24 hours, and after much prayer and interviewing people who knew about Rocky McElhaney Law Firm I contacted their office. I didn't dent her driver side door, I didn't cause any real damage and I filed immediately with my insurance carrier to get their car repaired. The damages to the person's car totaled $597, parts and labor. I thought all was settled and well until I received a notice about 11 months later, that I was being sued. The person had filed a bodily injury claim for $70,000 against my insurance the claim was denied. They then sued me, for the same amount. After almost a year of getting a case together for trial, she finally settled and only received, MAYBE $4500.00. I get, Ponce has a job to do, but I feel like being the established firm they are. They should be able to better judge foolishness. I was literally going 5-10 when I hit the person. While a thousand percent my fault. This was a result of wasted resources and sleepless nights for me. Some do require their services, reckless and egregious drivers.
