The receptionist told me they cant tell me what type of filling they do without a visit first which is ridiculous since just about every dentist in Canada provide that information over the phone. I decided to book a session anyways thinking they should offer silver filling as it was a common filling. On the day of the appointment, I arrived on time and waited almost 30 minutes before it was my time to see the doctor. After getting the x ray I was matched with the main female doctor there. I was expecting that she would check my tooth and then have a brief discussion regarding the condition of the tooth, filling materials etc. but nope she came looking rushed and stressed fresh off another patient, took one quick look at the my tooth and prepared for the filling procedure without explaining anything. I asked if I could know what type of filling materials is going to be used and she said composite. I told her I was looking for silver filling and she said " no dentist in saskatoon does that type of filling anymore" which is an outrageous statement. I then asked if I could take a minute to decide if I wanted to go with composite and she started getting rude and impatient, using violent hand gestures telling me she has gone to school for x many years and knows better. She expected me to lay down and shut up. After one minute of thinking about it I told her I would do the composite filling since I have already wasted my time and money for this appointment already and she( looking pissed that I needed to take that one minute to make a decision) said " it is too late now and she has other patients to take care of and that I need to do "everything all over again for the next appointment" including the x ray and visit fee". So here I am having waited for 45 minutes and out of 50 bucks to be told time is up and they don't do silver filling. As I walked out I was met with clinic manager there who had founded the clinic and is also a dentist there. he didn't seem to care about his doctor rude behavior at all and came at me with a defensive demeanor. I asked him why they don't mention what type of filling they do at the reception and he told me " it is illegal to publicize that information". it appears that misinformation runs in the entire organization. He also didn't offer any remedy even though I agreed to go with composite. He could have offered to the filling that day but nope. I am deeply concerned about the culture of this organization as rude behavior seems to go without any type of supervision, check and accountability and misinformation seems to be theme. I strongly recommend to look elsewhere if you are looking to be treated with respect and would like to have a normal one on one with your dentist on the day of the visit. Here they expect you to shut up and believe whatever they say and laydown so that they can quickly get done with you and hurry up to the next patient and collect that paycheck. To the Preston Dental center in case they read this review, Going to to the dentist is already stressful enough and even more stressful if your doctor is rude and ignorant. Please treat your patients with respect and take a moment to listen to their questions and concerns before the procedure. Also Please provide the type of filling you do upfront and stop wasting peoples' money and time. people shouldn't pay you 50 bucks to know what type of fillings your clinic does. Lastly I expect a refund for wasting my time and for the rude behavior I endured for just asking simple questions. I rarely write reviews but had to write this one and I hope you use it to improve your practice.

I wasn't someone who…read morewould say that I was afraid of the Dentist but for some reason I never seemed to get around to making an appointment until it was way too late and the problems were major. The worst was an infection on a tooth that needed a root canal, anti-biotics brought the infection underway but the swelling prevented the freezing from taking, Holly pretty much did the pulpectomy with no freezing and I didn't shed a tear, this had to be done to release the pressure from the infection, once the infection had completely cleared the rood canal was completed and a crown installed and it's been great ever since. Also to be able to say my kids enjoy going to the dentist is another testament in itself.

He did not rush me in any way and answered all my 100 questions. I felt very comfortable right at the start. To me getting my toddler's ears pierced was a huge decision I had to make. I work in health care, and sterilization is absolutely the MOST important thing to me, so using brand new needles was a huge plus for me. Not only did my little one get to pick out her first pair of earrings she didn't even flinch or blink when she got her ears pierced with a needle, it was done so swiftly. Veronica was very good with her and explained everything that was going to happen. I really loved how Veronica took the time to measure with a RULER to make sure her earrings were perfect, BEFORE she pierced them! I have to say Veronica is VERY good at what she does, so good in fact, just talking to her (I always have wanted to....) so I got my nose pierced and my hubby is getting his tattoo finished with her. I am also planning to have my existing tattoo lightened by her and touched up! :) Bottom line here, super plus for her sterilization education from working in Dentistry and this helps with the way she talks to children. I am extremely happy with my daughter's and my piercing!!! I have highly recommend her, to all my friends!!!!

After waiting my turn and put in a room for another half hour the doctor finally entered. I was not certain if he was under the influence or not. As he fell asleep, talking to me. Needless to say it raised so many concerns that there was absolutely no way that this doctor was going to perform any kind of surgery on my eyes. I asked him if he was under the influence of drugs, as I have had too many experiences working with addicts. And that's exactly how we appeared to me was under the influence of opiates. Needless to say, I did not have the surgery performed at Conlan and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. It was a very disturbing experience and it left me very concerned. Unfortunately, I have lost the name of the doctor and I cannot find a picture of him on their website. So for all I know, he may no longer be working there.

****This is for anyone who has been on the fence about getting LASIK!****…read more All I can say is it is a completely worthwhile experience! I have been wearing glasses since I was ten, so know the struggle of changing prescriptions and having to purchase new glasses and/or contacts every year or two. Now at 23, I can't tell you how exciting it is to be free from that! It was such a pleasant surprise the first morning after surgery when I was going to my post-op and was about to grab my glasses and then thought, "oh wait, I can already see!" My vision was 20/20 the very next day! Kim, the Practice Administrator was always friendly and efficient in our communications. She responds quickly and professionally to any questions and is highly knowledgeable about LASIK. She was also flexible in scheduling, which is amazing considering how busy they are! The CEI team is warm, professional and thorough. Heidi has such a grounding personality and made me feel well-taken care of. She went through all of the pre and post op care really well and was welcome to any questions you may have. Dr. Prete is the optometrist in the office and he is professional and knowledgeable as you run through your testing. The techs are equally as friendly and knowledgeable so everything happens very smoothly! The day of the surgery, Heidi was once again soothing and ran through post-op care, which is really quite easy. It all comes in a nice little bag that makes it easy to keep track of. It included sunglasses to wear following the surgery, lubricating drops, two types of antibiotic drops, and eye shields for the first night. In the OR, Dr. Conlon and his team worked like a well-oiled machine. Honestly, the surgery is almost easier than any eye exam as it's not up to you to make sure not to blink! You also can't really tell what's going on as it just looks like a bunch of lights. It was over so quickly! They even give you stress balls, so you can squeeze those if you're nervous! Overall, I think LASIK is definitely worth it and I would certainly recommend at least getting a free consult from the Conlon Eye Institute and checking it out yourself!
