Jerry and Joanne were very friendly and informative hosts. They are very familiar with the island (both geographically and history) as well. I told the host that I'd really want to see bald eagle in a close distance if I may. Jerry told me all I need is to go the Double Bluff beach and pointed out exactly where I can see them. Wow!!! and yes, I do see the eagle couple in a close distance that day!! My room is beautifully decorated. A large window and very comfy chaise draw me very close to all the tall trees. From time to time, I saw plenty of birds kind of like flying next to me. Very cool. It is a forest setting room. I especially draw into all the paintings and drawings in the inn. There's a cabinet displaying some native american tools / arts as well. In room cable TV (and DVD), you have your own bathroom. The best of all, homemade delicious full breakfast (I dislike continental breakfast if I am in BnB, why do BnB if it is not for enjoying a good breakfast, right?). The location of this inn is good too, it is not sitting right in the the downtown (noisy) but just a minute away. Very convenient to go out enjoy lunch and dinner and then come back in the forest to rest. Oh, Jerry also knows about gold mining ... ask him where to find gold in the island when you visit there (wink wink!) And I forgot to add about the trails. This time I didn't do it because it rained pretty badly over the week, but for those love to explore the nature, check it out!

Stayed here for our 5th year wedding anniversary! It was one of the best trips we've ever taken…read more:-) the owners were fantastic and so welcoming! This bed and breakfast made our experience very special. Stayed in the garden suite and it was wonderful. Breakfast every morning was so good! The wildlife is amazing! Everyday we saw a set of deer with a mom deer and 2 twin babies, very sweet watching these animals while at breakfast. I wi) be back over and over again! I would book this plenty of time in advance because it's so wonderful they book up fast. It's worth the wait to have this fantastic experience! Can't fit everything I'd like to say but it's 100% positive. The new in room jar of her homemade cookies were icing on the cake! See you again soon we hope :-) love Whidbey island!

Each night we sat outside with a glass of wine watching the moon and the beauty of a sleeping small but, magical town. We walked all over. I'd definitely stay here again. Very comfortable. Room has no place to hang or put clothing so we had our stuff sprawled all over the place. The hotel needs some upgrades to charge what they charge. 3 stars. One annoyance: The hotel staff tried to presell / upsell overnight parking at $20 when there was plenty (plenty!!) of free parking a block away (and according to my family, parking enforcement is pretty lax).Why do that? 1 star. We stayed this weekend in the Shaharazad suite. My favorite part was it had a giant jacuzzi tub, a huge double headed walk in shower and also a deck to enjoy the views from! Another great bonus is it had a small kitchen, the fridge was especially convenient to hold leftovers etc. We only stayed one night but I'd love to go back and spend 2-3 nights as it was very relaxing and a perfect spot to enjoy some time away from home. The first morning I was there I offered fresh fruit with nuts, yogurt, buttery fresh croissant, quiche, sausage links, fresh squeezed orange juice, cranberry juice and coffee,. You can tell they have been doing this for many years because there are small extras in drawers, cupboards and cabinets (in case you left something at home) you will find extra toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, bars of soap, face wash, sewing kit, hand sanitizer,ext. All the comforts of home. If you're looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay this is the place for you.

FORGET the old reviews, under the new owners this is a quiet gem tucked away in an unlikely spot - next to a storage rental place, but that is a plus - it is off the busy road and nice and quiet. The Arlington is beautiful. Unlike similarly-priced hotels like the Hilton Express (and the super-crappy LaQuinta) in Marysville, this a luxurious, gorgeous hotel, with dark wood paneling and brass fittings, a beautiful entry in the middle of two water feature coy ponds, a relaxing and well-decorated lounge, and really good management, under General Manager, Lema. Use your GPS to find the turn - if you pass a storage unit business you just missed it. It is part of a larger building with offices first, keep going about 50 feet and you will be in the drop off area. We good a King bed corner room, and the first thing that made me happy -well, the second, because the first was true concierge check-in by Lema) were the TWO marble-topped vanities, both with hair dryers! One in the room, and one in the roomy bathroom. Well lit, and no fighting for a mirror when you are getting ready to go to an event, like a concert at Tulalip. (BTW there is a shuttle to the casino and back, up to 2 a.m.) The squeaky-clean room had all the amenities - A modern Visio TV screen, an upholstered chair to relax in with a standing linen lamp to read and relax by, a desk (marble top) and a dresser (I hate not having a dresser, even for an overnight stay) a mini fridge and easy to use coffee maker/water heater. The creamy taupe shades made a lovely ambient light, the bed was comfy, with plenty of pillows and extra bedding in a drawer; closet had a double mirror, ironing board and iron, and the hotel soaps were nice. Everything in the room worked. Plenty of water pressure, the switches and plug-ins, the remote, and heating and cooling. That seems like it should be a given, but so many badly run hotels do so poorly checking these things. I should note that we did not have a reservation, so they didn't check it last-minute, it was ready. I DO recommend reservations though, this sweetheart hotel won't be a secret long. The pool was open and clean, with a whirlpool next to it. Not huge, but not crowded with clean dressing rooms and towels. I went down in the morning and splashed around with some kids that were there with their folks, which was fun. The exercise room was not elaborate, but again clean and the machines worked. The breakfast fare was pretty standard but plenty of choices - coffee, tea, pastrys, fruit, four kinds of cereal, yogurt... The hot breakfast offered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage -all well cooked and warm little pancakes and syrup...I don't remember everything except that the woman running it was as nice and accomodating as she could be, and kept things stocked. If you are going to Marysville and want a way nicer than standard cookie cutter hotel experience, this is the place. Note: Don't mix it up with the Arlington Motel, and you might find old reviews under Wyndam Gardens. Ignore those. But don't tell everybody - you will want a room available if you decide on a last minute night out at the Casino. BTW the restaurant is not open, and probably won't be, which is fine. It is hard to keep a restaurant going, but you may see old reviews that talk about it. It helps keep the rooms affordable.

This place exceed my expectations on the things that matter, like the personnel being personable and an absolutely delicious breakfast. What a great place!! Beautiful! Clean! Pool and hot tub!!!!! Even the soap is good here....that never happens!!! I am blown away by the value and enjoyment of our stay at Hotel Arlington. Bring your own hair dryer
