She has amazing line work and ability to show depth perception. These classes are allowing her to expand her knowledge and improve her skills. The art instructors were very patient and friendly with all of the students and made the projects very fun. Aaron was really fun and kept the kids entertained while we waited for the projects to begin. Mimi helped me plan the schedule for the party and checked with my son on the topics he wanted for the art. Both were exceptional instructors. They also decorated the place with balloons and banners and set up goody bags for the kids as well as gave boxes to take the art home. Communication planning was very clear and quick. The kids were very creative! Was a very nice experience overall. I highly recommend having a party there or just coming by for some classes!

Visited this place for the first time yesterday for a playdate with a small group of kids. The…read more4-star rating reflects my kid's score (5 stars) and mine (3 stars) together. Here are my 8 year old's thoughts; he called it "a really fun place to make great slime" - you can make really cool textures of slime, including "cloud" -- the kid recommends "clear" and "butter" because they are the most stretchy and squishy of all the options - you can add smells and accessories - the employees are really nice and tell you what to do - it's satisfying when it's mixing because all the colors come together As a parent, I'll say this makes for one expensive playdate. At $30 a pop it adds up, and the hands-on time is maybe 20 or 25 minutes total. Still, every kid there was having a good time. And there are a lot of fun mix-ins so that everyone makes something unique and uber-personalized. And the slime is still top toy at home on day 2. You can make reservations ahead of time, but those seem loosey-goosey because walk-ins are also welcome any time.

Parking on the street if you're lucky but there is also a parking garage and upper level outside parking as well. We took our daughter here to do the DIY slime experience as her birthday present and she had a great time! We were the only ones there on a Thursday mid morning so we got to have a one-on-one experience which was nice. The steps to this DIY experience were clearly displayed and explained on each of the walls and the person there did a great job explaining everything and helping her slime become less sticky. (Omg so sticky lol) They had a few different kinds of slime bases to choose from, then you pick a color and a scent. You take this to the mixing station with the pretty teal Kitchen Aid mixers to mix and it smelled so good! (She picked marshmallow so it smelled like birthday cake!) The next step is to add mix-ins like confetti balls or glitter and little sprinkle like items. You take all this to the table station and mix mix mix and make sure the slime is the stickiness you want. This is probably the most fun part for her and I'm sure other kids because you get to stretch and fold and play with the slime! The last step is to pick 3 big toppers to put on top of your slime container to take home. The whole thing was $27 and I thought it was worth it for the fun special experience! It looks like they also offer workshops and parties so we will be interested in checking those out in the future!

When I graduated high school in 2004, I had intentions of working my summer job at Albertson's and…read morethen returning to school in the fall of that year at PCC - Rock Creek. I looked forward to gaining my associate's degree as efficiently as I could. My optimism quickly diminished as I ran out of money, got tired of doing busy work for what I think of as non-core classes, and began getting D's in math (my downfall in school) after a somewhat promising start. So I didn't return for winter term that year. I went back to my summer job, which turned into a regular job for a calendar year, until a relative opened the door for me to work in the freight business. I worked that for a while, but as accounts flopped and hours grew thin, so did my checking account and I was forced to find other work in a warehouse this past summer. It sucked. And as I lifted a heavy box and tweaked my back just a little bit, "I should go back to school so I don't have to do this shit right now" ran across my mind. Later that week I enrolled in classes nearly two and a half years after I stopped going. After another optimistic start, I've grown tired of PCC yet again. What I'm realizing is the university-inspired workload doesn't match up to their wanna-be university atmosphere. Personally, I'm not in the business of busting my balls for a reading class (yes, they can't intermix reading and writing courses) that's only the second of four courses. Oh, while we're on the whole "intermix" thing, Reading and Writing courses have to be on the same level. Now I'm sure there is an underlying benefit to doing this, but it bums me out I'm stuck at Writing 90 when I initially tested into Writing 115. Also, one thing lacking from the atmosphere is intramural sports. Granted, I'm a sports nut and I'm biased, but I think for being as big as the whole PCC system is, they could humor some of the student body and give us basketball, softball, or flag football, as PCC - Rock Creek has facilities for all three and more. One "plus" I've noticed is I've had professors who I've liked, and professors who I've ranked as "neutral," but I've yet to come across one I don't like. Also, some of the buildings and equipment at Rock Creek are only three or four years old, which is definately a benefit. Although personal opinion spoils the rating, 1 star is what comes to mind when I think of PCC - Rock Creek.

It was four classes and each one builds on the other so make sure you can attend all 4. We were going to do the class a different month but would have been away a week but after talking to the owner and reading about the class we decided to do a month we would be there for all 4 classes and I'm glad we did otherwise we would have missed out on a lot. By the end of the class both of us taking it are coming out with 8 things we made from start to finish!

It is impeccably clean, everything is in great condition, the set up is welcoming and engaging, and the space is just the right size so kids can explore independently but you can still keep a close eye on them! There was a good mix of toys, books, things to climb, and imagination-led play areas. The staff working was wonderful, helpful, and kind! I feel like I walked into a place that really cares for kids and their grown ups (coffee available for adults, yes, please!). Also, there were kids in a range of ages playing and having a good time so I know if we go back my LO would find new ways to explore and imagine!
