He likes them but said they came with a weird patch with gold stitching on it - that's not his style at all. That sounded very different from what I thought I ordered, so I had him send me a photo. The photo on Billiam's website had a nice, simple, brown leather patch. The patch that actually came on the jeans looks really bad. It's blue and has large gold/yellow branding on it. So I contacted Billiam. They told me they "think it looks great" and is "the most expensive patch we've done yet" - neither of which are relevant - and refused to replace the patch. They couldn't accommodate a simple request because the "patch is intrinsically what our jeans are and to remove that would remove the whole point of why we do what we do." This one patch is intrinsic to and the whole point of their jeans - even though they (apparently) rotate patches seasonally and advertise a different patch on their website. "Placement of the branding and the style of our branding are things we have spent years deciding and are things we don't change" - they don't change it, even though they regularly change it. He mentioned the selvedge jean material is from an American mill in Greensboro, NC. They design, sew and cut the jeans himself by hand. You can understand his dedication to the craft of custom clothing. The retail store is very interesting as the front is their production area. There is a mix of old sewing machines and large rolls of Jean denim all over the shop. They take great pride in being one of the only custom jean manufacturers in the US. Tailored to your fit and made in Greenville, SC. They also have shirts and leather belts plus other cool items such as custom aprons. Starting at some point in June, they completely restricted customers from purchasing gift cards unless they were $50, $100, 150, etc. You cannot even add money to a gift card for personal use per corporate and management. This is insane, and restrictive of purchases for merchandise from the official store. When I go to talk to official support from corporate, they literally labeled their team as Customer Education and that "somebody will be here to educate you shortly." Very insulting for anybody who has a legitimate issue to be told "you will be educated shortly." if the company itself doesn't want my money for the merchandise, then I will just buy it from eBay and look for alternative brands that actually want my business. Since lululemon is saying screw you to me and many other previously loyal customers, I will just take my business elsewhere and stay away from Lululemon's corporate owned storefronts. See ya...
