Forever Remembered has an informative website, and when I called to confirm their hours, the person answering (Chad) was kind and empathetic, just as he was, when I showed up a couple hours later with my precious parcel. He explained options and made arrangements. I was astonished at the quick turnaround time to pick up my girl's cremains-the next business day! Considering there is probably cool-down time involved, I was so surprised. He told me that they make an effort to provide a timely service and I really appreciate that, and it meant a lot to me, having waited over Christmas/ New Years Eve for my previous cat's return. The facility appears clean and organized and my cat's remains were returned in a personalized rosewood box which is beautiful; I ordered a paw print too, and it's very sweet. It was all presented in a respectful way, and the price point was absolutely fair for the service provided. I am grateful. I hope I don't need to see them again for a LONG time, but I am grateful they were there. While I miss my kitty oh so much, this does provide some comfort. We were charged $60 a month (a little high seeing how our previous vet with our other dog held him for free for 3 months) and had to prepay. I told them we go up on weekends and as soon as the ground thawed we would come and get her. She said that was no problem, just let them know and someone would be there and have her ready for pick up. Well, I call to set a time on Saturday and was told they didn't do weekend pickups, after they told me I could back in February. We are leaving on vacation next weekend so we can reschedule. Oh, they'll charge me another $60 for another week, of course you! So we have to pick up our St. Bernard tomorrow and hope she fits in our freezer, and bring her up Saturday. Compassion my butt! Our kids will be horrified if they find out. But what choice do we have? We can't risk of her thawing. This is absolutely awful!!! It's so inhumane! Had we been told the truth earlier that we couldn't do weekend pickups, we could have arranged things differently. They would not make an exception or offer any help, just pay them more money. They don't care about you, your pet, just money! I have never had my pet treated so badly!

I chose private cremation for my cat. Dropped his remains off in the morning and was able to pick up his ashes later that afternoon. (Note: Prices for cremation are much lower coming directly here than going thru your veterinarian. You eliminate the transportation and up-charge. And I honestly prefer to keep my pets remains with me and not hand them off to an intermediary.) Also, they have a nice selection of urns and pendants (to place a bit of your pets ashes) IF you are interested in that. But you never feel pressured to purchase any of that.
